Jul 5, 2008My mother works for a school district which provides laptop computers. They recently rolled over to newer computers and my mother purchased the old one from the school. Most everything works normally, although there are quite a few things(system preference e.t.c..) which require a admin name & password. It has been impossible for me to acquire these from the school and I am looking for a way to override these. I read on a forum to reinstall the hard drive from an operting cd. I have no cds whatsoever with the computer. Would love any suggestions on how to override thise system admin & password problem.

Dec 4, 2014In my User & Groups, it shows that a System Administrator with standard access is the current user for my iMac.A "System Administrator" is using an iCloud password to log in and unlock the screen. I cannot delete the user, nor change their password.I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1I purchased the iMac from a school closing auction.I know little of apple computers - be gentle.
I want to remove the "System Administrator" who recently appeared (within the last few days).How do I make my computer more secure? (I changed my iTunes password already.)

Feb 8, 2012Just did a sync and everything looks good. The only weird thing is that My iphone shows 5 more contacts than my addy book on icloud.Â
Does the "address book" use more than just contacts to show you your total? Like does it count notes, or calendar inputs as "contacts"? Or even contacts eith more than one phone number?

Today I was having trouble with the account being "offline", so I went into Mail preferences and re-entered my password for icloud. Somehow, I now have Mobile Me (inactive) on my computer, but no icloud to be found. When I try to sign in to icloud, it tells me that I am already signed in and to change accounts, I need to delete my icloud account and sign in again
