I'm having problems with iTunes video playback under 10.4.11. I'm on a 733Mhz Digital Audio G4, which I realize is somewhat below the iTunes specs, but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to get rid of the choppiness in video playback. My machine has a PATA drive but it is hooked to a SATA card.
View 4 RepliesSimple question I have downloaded a few seasons of Southpark and other tv shows in hd how do I burn them to a dvd or get them to be able to play on my ps3. I have vista home premium 64 bit and can't get it to stream through tversity. I do not want to buy an appletv I just want my shows to play on my tv in hd and not have to hook up my ipod. Is there a way around the drm or whatever is stopping me to get the job done.

I listen to and watch a lot of podcasts. Quite often, after I am done listening to a Audio Podcast I will watch a video podcast. Some times it gets stuck and won't play the video but plays audio fine. Anyone else have this problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 2011 Mac Mini running the latest version of Mac OS-X and iTunes, output to a Samsung D6530 Television and for some reason I can't seem to play HD movie or TV show content purchased through iTunes. 99% of the time I don't get any error message at all, just a scrambled signa (sound is fine)l however, the one time an error message did appear it suggested the TV did not support HDCP (High Def Content Protection). Looking at the documentation that came with the TV it does support HDCP so I can't figure out why it doesn't work.

Am I correct in noticing that when I watch some video content within iTunes now I can't resize it without first "Open Video in New Window" ?
The only view option I get when the video is constrained within iTunes is Full Screen, all other options are greyed out. I don't want all my video automatically resized to max my iTunes window.
If so, that's a bit of a pain.
Youtube videos won't play properly on my imac (I have OS X version 10.5.8). The video plays only for a few short seconds and stops for about 90 seconds and then repeats the process .

I bought the Lewis Black stand up show. Lewis is hysterical of course, and while the resolution is less than most pirated media I have seen, it was good enough for me for two dollars.
However, I have noticed that at times it just sorta lags/skips. It's like I ma streaming it on the web and it has to rebuffer or whatever.

why are all my iTunes videos so damn choppy?! High Quality Youtube videos are "ok," but HD Youtube videos are just as bad as trying to watch anything on iTunes.
what do i need to upgrade (word choice?) to successfully watch iTunes videos crisply. i'm assuming it's like a graphics card or a processor or something. i could buy a decent computer in the next couple of months but i'm not because my parents are strongly against me upgrading anything because i'm going to college Fall 2010, so they said i'll just get a high-end something or other when the time comes. the point of what i just rambled about was is there something on my current PC that i can upgrade?
I have a Rev A MBA but for the first time I just downloaded a TV show from Itunes and tried watching it back. It was very jumpy, freezing and video and audio were sometimes out of sync. I turned off all other applications, which improved it, but did not solve it. I tried downloading a second one and had the same problem.
Is this common? I would have thought of all applications to work well, Itunes should be one of them.
On my iMovie, i can't get asf, avi, or mov video files to work. It would only show up as a white screen and take 15 minutes to load to imovie. But when i convert my asf to mov with a converteri downloaded, it took like 1 hour for a 30 second video, it worked and only took like 1 minute to load on imovie??? Is there any video codec for my imovie or a really good video converter?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have vlc on my imac G3 as my primary video player, and i updated from quicktime 6 to 7, and now when i go to play videos in vlc i get audio but no video and a message saying quicktime doesnt have any of the appropriate chroma. i have tried everything: reinstalling VLC, downgradeing back to QT 6 (which it wont for some dumb reason).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an iMac 17" G5 1.6 intel with 2 Gb of RAM. I can watch videos with no problem unless I try to watch one online such as Youtube or something like a video on Fox news. I have a highspeed cable modem hookup through Cox Cable. I have tried switching between the airPort and direct ethernet hookup but is makes no difference. I don't have this problem with my MacBook Pro.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm finding weird issues in Safari 5.1.7 under Snow Leopard the more I use it.On this Monday, I attempted to play the Apple WWDC 2012 video numerous times in Safari.The stream ticker loads as though the video is loading. Unfortunately, it never plays.What I see on the screen is a blue box with a white question mark inside where the video should play (image attached).
In addition, Safari will not play the other Apple Event videos prior to June 2012.I only see a white screen when attempting to play videos prior to June 2012. However, the WWDC 2012 and all other Apple Event videos play perfectly in Firefox 11.0.I've uninstalled, re-downloaded and reinstalled Safari with no success. I've also repaired permissions twice with no success. As well, I checked to be sure that no extensions were causing this

Im new. I bought a new iMAC 27". Im wery satisfyed with it, but one problem has emerged.Suddenly over night it wont play any online videos. I am running video to a 40" RCA 1080P television via a HDMI to DVI cable from my Macbook Pro. The laptop has a GeForce 8600M GT GPU and has the capability to run 1080P. However, when I port a video (been trying with DVD Player) the image becomes pretty distorted. Is this a limitation of my laptops GPU or something else?

I'm using 10.7.3. iTunes 10.6. MacBook Pro 2.6Ghz 4GB ram. ITunes won't play my video anymore and it's been a while I'm not sure when it occurred if it's after an update to snow leopard or iTunes updates. When I double click a video I get "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes."? And cannot convert the option doesn't work I get this other message when trying to convert a version for APPLE TV in advanced menu "None of the selected files were converted because they could not be found."?
But the movies are quicktime movies in my library and the MPEG-4 plays in iTunes but not on APPLE TV. From all my videos I get one only going through APPLE TV and when I try opening it it says error occured why opening and never works? It seems APPLE is regularly messing things up in updates to loose people so they have to pay for tech support, I didn't upgrade to iPhoto 11 and cannot import anything anymore into it so my entire library is a dead one; not a cool way to do business than messing people software so they have to buy newer versions!
