I'd like to change the color of the apple logo in the menu bar. I got Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.7 and this is how it looks like:
You see: standard leopard style... But I'd like to change the black apple logo in to a blue one. Like in Mac OS X Tiger:
I know there are some useful programs but they don't work in 10.5.7!
You all know these....

I was working in my iMac - OSX 10.5.8 and i believe i did something wrong. I started seeing 2 restart / shutdown/ force quit links on the apple menu.

Today just woke up and turned on my iMac. It started with apple logo then I saw a cancel logo which shocked me..
View 10 Replies View RelatedI know this is kind of off topic and the logo does not make the product any different but I found it a little odd that Apple decided to not to put their logo on the remote. It's made out of aluminum and has enough space on the back for a logo to be present. Apple put's their logo on everything that has enough space for one. The old remote had it, mouse, keyboard, MacBook/MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro, iPod's, iPhone, docks, and gift cards all have it. Their earphones don't have it because they are to small to put a logo without making them look stupid. I wonder what Jonathan Ive and Jobs were thinking when they decided to not put the logo. The back of the remote almost seems bare without it.

After a day of installing and trying/deleting new apps as well as trying terminal tricks from UsingMac.com like these and these, i went up to my apple menu in the menu bar for the first time since i started fiddling around, and it looks like what you see below in the attachment. I have absolutely no idea what made it happen; I'm just wondering if there is a way to reset the menu alone. because instead of having just what it says in the "system services" section in the menu, it has all that other stuff as well (Calculator, FruitMenu, etc.).
P.S.: Fruitmenu isn't even installed. i uninstalled it after i found out it was only a demo.
So basically:
1) how do i restore the main menu in the menu bar back to its original settings?
and 2) I need to do it in a way that wont screw up the rest of my computer or settings
When I upgraded to 10.5.2 a .Mac icon was placed in the menu bar. I don't use .Mac so I'd like to get rid of it but I can't figure out how. Every other icon in the menu bar can be removed/changed via System Preferences except for the .Mac one as far as I can tell.

I removed it under system preferences at the bottom but I cannot seem to get rid of the icon on the menu bar. I cannot drag it out and am stumped at what to do. I even manually removed the plugins from the library.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a lot of icons in my menu bar and I thought I saw reference to an app one can run that only has like one menu bar action that will free up most of the space so one can see the other menu bar icons. Does anybody know the name of this app or have any suggestions (other than "remove some of the menu bar icons"?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed Symantec Anti-Virus and it automatically puts an ugly icon in the menu bar. I already have a few things up there that i like/need and don't want the symantec button, but symantec doesn't give me the option to not display the button in the menu bar.
I would like to know if there is a way to override this? I would really appreciate being able to get rid of that little button.
I used my Macbook Pro's Time Machine to restore everything on the iMac that I received. However, the battery icon is showing up on the menu bar (in between the bluetooth and airport). Is there a way to remove it? Are there any other problems from restoring files onto an iMac with a Macbook Pro's Time Machine?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently uninstalled vmware fusion and afterwards noticed that the little icon on my menu bar is still there.
I tried clicking on it to get to the "applications menu settings" section, where I could presumably remove this, but since I uninstalled it doesn't do anything.
I also tried holding command and dragging it off the menu bar - nothing.
My googling has given me solutions for it, but only if the software is still installed. Is there some way around having to re-install it to fix this? That would be a pain because I no longer have the disc.
Maybe there's some file I can delete or something I can kill via terminal?
I'd like to disable the 'stop recording' button on the menu bar during screen capture on 10.6.I know that Quicktime X doesn't have the option of changing preferences and I've seen some codes out there that will alter certain preferences, but not this one.

my first night with my new Macbook was last night! All is great so far, just one questions though. When I was in the bed las night, the apple logo was so darn bright in the bedroom it woke the wife up once! Can I turn that sucker down a little for night time use, or should I position the pillow to cover the back up?

I'm using a new iMac (OS 10.7.4) and was wondereing if it possible to stop my machine from constantly changing the input menu from "Britsh" to "U.S.". This is the item with the small national flag icon in the Finder menu.
Is there a way of removing one of these options permanently, in my case remove the U.S. option?
I own a 17" iMac Core 2 Duo. It has been crashing more and more lately. Now when I turn it on, it sits at the apple logo. The spinner does not appear. I tried new sticks of ram, and same thing. I can boot off a windows or Linux cd with the c key, but they freeze halfway through bootup. I ran a hard disk check also.
Does the Apple logo still light up on the MacBook Air whenever the screen is on? Like this:
View 13 Replies View RelatedI shut the computer off like i normally do. It was fine and well. Went to turn it on, and saw a bar. Whats it for? Its been moving, but very slowly. It never does this. Is there malware or something causing it? I had a movie on the DVD slot, it that caused it. It wasn't spinning though.

You'll notice this person's hard drive is labeled simply using the Apple Logo. I've seen alot of screenshots that use this symbol. How do I do it?
I have a 2nd gen Mac Mini that when booting chimes and goto the Apple logo with the circle below it. I tried once, let it go for about 10minutes before holding in the power button and trying again. It's been at this point for about 30minutes.
