How can I play an Mac Classic game on my 10.5.8?

I am trying to play an old mac game called warlords on my intel mac laptop running leopard. I have yet to find a version of the game created for something other than mac os classic or windows. Is there any way around this? If I used boot camp and dual booted into tiger would that fix my problem cause tiger has the classic environment but I dont have a ppc. If that would work I am wondering if there was the potential for some of my stuff on my 100 gb hard drive to get deleted in the process because I only have 30 gb left and no external hard drive to back stuff up on.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have had problems with my iMac, whenever i play the my game on Java, it crashes, yesterday it started out slow, happened like every 2 hours, but right now, when i get the error, only option to pull the plug, and then restart, and i open the game again and it happens within 5 mins, i made a video of what it looks like on youtube.(Btw, its lower half of the screen black, and the top is flickering)
I cant do anything anymore, i can pause the music by keyboard, which i couldnt do before on the older crashes from yesterday strange enough, and i can move the mouse, but i cant click anything or w/e.Cmd - alt - esc doesnt work either
I am trying to find an application that I used when I was much younger in the classic environment. It was called Cocoa and was a basic game/application builder that was object-orientated and worked around creating rules for each object. I can remember that the sample level involved moving away from a dog to get a key and open a door - not specific I know but it is something...
I've been trying to find it, but it is hard to find considering there are so many other things called Cocoa. Hoping that someone else knows what I'm talking about, where I could find it or if it's been brought to OS X.
how do i set up classic mode to play old games?

I managed that, but now I am confused as to how to get the game to run. can someone explain to me in straightforward terms how to open the game. I have a whitebook, 64 mg intel gma950 chipset, and 2gb ram. XP is running on bootcamp and I was wondering if I could play the game "DJ Max Trilogy" before I bought it. According to the specs you need at least a Geofre 5700 which I think is 128 mb. Anyways, I've bought a few other games off of play-asia that had those same specs, but ran perfectly on my macbook. Can anyone confirm if this game will also work?

I have an extremely old Touchbase (AfterHours) application program (runs on Classic). With the purchase of a new IMac, I realized it doesn't read the old Classic system. This database has over 2500 contacts for our small office. Is there anyway to put this on a new IMac or any software out there that could convert the old program into a new database. I don't relish the idea of retyping 2500 pieces of information.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI am in the process of pulling the data off of my collection of floppy disks. A lot of them are the really ancient 800K kind so I am using a Mac Classic II running System 7.0.1 to access them. The process is going well but occasionally I've run across a PC formatted floppy that the Mac won't read. It just says: This disk is not a Macintosh diskette. Do you want to Initialize it? So how do I give my Classic the ability to access these PC format diskettes?

Although I print at home with an Epson Stylus 740, I would like to install a basic printer for the classic Imac OS 9.6 at the office, mostly for printing pages of type. It would be used exclusively for the old, classic iMac only.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new iMac with 1 processor with a speed of 3.06 GHz, dual core, 4 gigs of memory, and a bus speed of 1.07 GHz.
I'm trying to run an old Tiger Woods golf game on it. When I put in the CD it says the game requires a bus speed of 500 MHz and at least 1 MB of disk space free and the game will not run.
Being brand new, the Mac has almost all of it's memory space available and the speed required (500MHz) for the game is well below the bus speed of my computer (1.07GHz). Any ideas why the game won't run?
