I have an iMac with updated Lion OS. Until today I have never had difficulty receiving videos or other intensive graphic downlods. Now, for some unknown reason, I am unable to receive a BMW ebrochure or a see a video from a newsletter site.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had numerous, yet infrequent, kernel panics with my 2010 15" MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard. I have a dual-core i7 model with the NVIDIA GeForge GT 300M. They always happen when I'm using a graphic-intensive program (Motion, Photoshop, and - believe it or not - when running PowerPoint presentations). They have all happened when using an external monitor or projector as well - although I rarely work without an external monitor plugged in, so it could be a coincidence on that. The maddening thing is that they don't happen all the time (well, I guess that's good) - sometimes they come at the start of the day when I'm first in a program, some come later in the day, some come when I've been using a program intensively (as in working in Photoshop for hours), and some just seem to happen right away when I first start using the program. There will be days I get multiple ones, and then not see the panics again for weeks and weeks.Â

I am having an odd issue with an IMAP email account. Mail does not receive emails anymore on an account, but is able to send them. Also, I was thinking that something was corrupted with the inbox and wanted to rebuild said inbox : but I cannot as it is greyed out.

I am running Lion 10.7.3 on a early 2008 Intel based Mac Pro. I cannot play most internet videos. No error message with Safari. Firefox notification indicates Adobe Flash crash. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash over a dozen times. I have also reinstalled Lion. My other Macs (iMac and Mac Mini) have no issues. I recently upgraded my graphics card to a Nividia Geforce 8800 Ultra 768MB. I have no issue playing my own video materials be it home movies, DVDs, or downloaded videos. Could their be a conflict with the graphics card driver and Adobe Flash?

Installed windows 7 today (geniune copy) to play the Star Trek Online open beta, managed to download and install it, but when I go to play it, it crashes. Went to performance information and tools and under graphics it says: Total Memory Not Detected and everything is 0MB apart from display adapter which says 6.1.7600.16385 and monitor resolution.

I've recently upgraded to Lion and have found that Quicktime movies and embedded Flash movies won't work. With the embedded flash all I get is a black box, and with quicktime movies, such as the ones on the Apple website, I get nothing - the irony of not being able to watch movies on the Apple site with my Apple iMac gives me a little chuckle. Anyways ....... I've been reading thread after thread and trying lots of different things but nothing works. I've got this feeling inside that says it's something simple but just can't seem to find it.

long story short, I have set up an email signature on my mac which includes a PNG graphic. On its own this is fine and can be opened and viewed as intended at the other end by PC. However, when I include an attachment (ie word, powerpoint or excel doc) the PNG graphic and all text which should appear below the PNG graphic in the body of the email is not there when received by a PC.

The message is 'Cannot Get Mail, the user name or password for iCloud is incorrect'.When I enter the correct password it will not take and continues to ask me for may password over and over. I had an active @mac.com address and made a smooth transition to iCloud some months ago. My iCloud apple identity is my @mac.com address but since Sunday, I cannot send or receive emails with this address, only with my @me.com address. Same for iMac, iPhone and iPad.I have now spent two long phone calls with the apple help number. I then had a fast track on-line conversation with someone today for another hour to have it escalated to a senior advisor. They have tried to sort out the problem unsuccessfully - am sure they will have another go on Monday. In the meanwhile, is there anyone who has had the same problem before? I have tried changing my password on iCloud, deleting and reinstalling my iCloud on my iPhone but nothing has worked.

my hard drive was wipped clean, and I lost everything. So, I wanted to get all of my TV, Movies and Music back that I bought from iTunes that was not on my iPod. They gave me all of it back. All 872 files. So, now I just had to go to Store-Check for Available Downloads. And I did. Then I entered my password and it said Checking for Downloads... After a while, it came up with an error message saying that it was unable to check for downloads. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again. I checked and both were good so I tried again. It didn't work. Then I tried again and again and still, nothing.
I rebooted my computer, uninstalled iTunes, restarted my router and still nothing. It won't work on my laptop and it also won't work on my Dad's desktop. So I called Apple and they had me do a DNS flush, still no luck. Then after a while, they said it wasn't iTunes so I should call my internet provider (Verizon Fios) They did all of this stuff, change the readings of my router to avoid 2.4 GhZ thing (I don't know what that means) and they also brought me to [URL] and had me optomize my speed and I did that and still no luck. The guy eventually said that it wasn't my router so I should contact Apple. So know I am here. If anyone could help that would be great. Especially if it's solved by Sunday night because I have a 10 hour bus ride on Monday and I would like to have something to watch on the way there.
