i just receive my imac from apple store after they fix my HDD , my imac is using version 10.6.8 and have 2.66 GHz intel core i5 prossesor also have memory 12 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 , i had problem before with my imac and i sent it to apple store to fix it , after they fix it ( they said) i wont have any problem anymore with my imac , and when i try it at home, i used migration assistant to get back my old data to my fixed imac, and now everytime i try to update my imac from software update on apple icon, they can downloading the updates but when i click instal and restart my imac can not installing the updates, keep getting error instaling update on my imac.

I am getting this error "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)." when I try to transfer files from my Mac Mini to my External Harddrive which is connected to my Airport Extreme. " The error does not appear to happen all the time. It does seem consistent if I am transfering files and then try to transfer more.  Â
The files I am transferring are .mp4. It does not appear to care about the size of the file, it happens with small files and large files, I can transfer some large folders (2.54G). I can connect the hard-drive externally directly to the mac mini and it will transfer any file.
When I try to empty my Trash with a certain app in it I get error code -8003. I can't find reference to that code anywhere and do not know how to clean up the trash. "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003)."

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Macbook (from 2007) running Tiger OS X 10.4.11. I am trying to install BootCamp onto the computer, but Tiger did not come with Boot Camp installed. Because of this I had to download Boot Camp 1.3 Beta. This is old, and has expired, but I changed the system date to be 2006 and this has made it work. When I am partitioning the disk, this message comes up: Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again. I have already Backed Up and the computer is already formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled), but this message still comes up. Disk Utility has Greyed out the Erase section for Macintosh HD so I cant re-format it.

so I just booted up my MBP, and I got this message that said that an application called srserviceagent, which is not in my applications, quit unexpectedly. I hit ignore, and the message just popped up again five seconds later. I did this multiple times, before just deciding to click relaunch. Well, all this does is immediately bring the message back up. So I hit report, in which it said that the report couldnt be sent. I have force quit, restarted and shut down already.

I can't install Java update, not via 'software update', nor via download from Apple support site. Always get error message at 'writing scripts', even with the camera update. Same thing happens when trying to re-install Adobe flash-player, which I had uninstalled after virus threat. Seems I can't install anything anymore. I had previously uninstalled everything Java in Safari and run Mackeeper duplicate eraser.

What I found was that this behaviour was reset between reboots. That is, sometimes the problem was gone; other times, I would have to restart repeatedly, hoping for a "good boot."In July I found a good boot was hard to find. I was out of town for a month after that. When I returned, there were only bad boots. I tried to update Safari, but "an unexpected error occurred." The next day, the machine chimed on boot, showed the grey Apple plus a progress bar (which never got very far), and turned off. That's all it does now.

I am using Mac OS X 10.5.8. I had a program that was working perfectly, I tried to update it. Why? - I dunno myself. Anyway, now I can't open the program. When I try to delete it I get the message "sorry, the operation could not be complete because an unexpected error occurred. (Error code -61)." I made sure the program was "forced quit," but this made no difference at all. I tried to make the files "shares" files and not "locked" files in the "get info" tab, but it still doesn't allow me to delete them. Any idea of how I can get rid of this program now?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've been trying all weekend to install windows 7 through boot camp. At first, due to a lack of dvds to burn the iso I have, I tried doing the whole usb thing. I got as far as the Legacy Loader screen and could not find a solution. Finally, after getting a couple of dvds I burned the iso and tried to go from there. At first I just got a completely black screen every time I tried to boot from the cd. I tried a lot of the fixed on this forum as well as countless others through which I looked. I reset the PRAM, shut off the computer and disconnected everything including the power plug, waited a while and then restarted, changed the resolution to 800x600. Well eventually I got to the point where I got the black screen but with a blinking cursor.
I waited about 5 minutes and got the this msg: Windows encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer.

Waited like 15 minutes to see if anything happens but nothing. They teased me by telling me that if I pressed enter I could continue but in fact nothing happened. I know the dvd works because I tried it on a laptop running windows and when I popped in the dvd the install menu came up.
Since last few weeks I am having strange problem in safari. Whenever I try to view youtube videos embedded in any site facebook, udacity etc I am keep on getting error saying "Unexpected error occured please try again later" or videos just stops playing by itself behaving its finished. Its very annoying problem. Clicked restart and was presented with a screen that said "none of the software updates could be installed, an unexpected error occurred" I clicked OK, was left with blank screen that did nothing. So I powered down, and restarted, now I'm presented with a Unix screen indicating "unable to find driver for this platform" and a window instructing me to restart.
Restarting in any mode, shift, command, command s, etc will not move me past the Mac OS version not yet set screen. This is a mess. I installed Lion over the Internet and do not have a startup disk I can use to recover and reinstall to even restore from my Time Capsule ... Isn't there a way I can install over the Internet?
When trying to restore a 19.8 MB backup file to iCal, I get an "unexpected network error 60". What does the error mean?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI composed an email today and it didn't like the way I configured the addresses. I got an error message saying the message couldn't be sent because of the address format. Now, every time I send an email, no matter to whom, that error pops up. My correctly addressed emails go out just fine. How do I get rid of it? Where do I find the draft to delete it so the program doesn't keep trying to send? (It's not in my draft folder)

So a while back I had final cut pro installed, and eventually deleted cause I no longer needed it. I used AppCleaner when removing to try and make sure I got it all.
Well every time I do a software update it wants to install "Pro Applications Update" and "Prokit Updates" Which are updates for final cut pro and its related apps.
Any idea how I can stop it from wanting me to install these updates for something I no longer have?
