OS X V10.7 Lion :: Make Dvd From Imovie11 Lion Preinstalled
Feb 5, 2012
Just created an imovievideo from iphone4..720p..The imovie editingprogram is super..fast.. easy..and nice designed.PROBLEM when it came to do an DVD .standard disc.In pro version of FCPX i think there is a fast way to do a DVD-disc..NO new IDVD in appstore..Using a brand new imac21 with Lion preinstalled.Perhaps it will work if i download 30 days free FCPX...but whit this very nice and easy imovie..there must be a easy way to burn DVD.Easy if you make a film for your children and theres dvdplayer.
Why in the world would Apple make the track pad LESS useful in OS Lion? I hate that I can't g back to the top of a web page with a singe swipe. And of course all the other gestures are totally reversed. IMHO, this was not an improvement.
Previous version of imovie only supported 720 HD. I did not care much because m my old camera was only SD, but now I would like to edit my HD content with ilife but I am afraid that it would down-sample my videos. Does it now support full HD?
Is it possible to create your own Storyboards? It seems this would be a no-brainer for after market sales and to help those of us who use similar technology with Avid/Vegas/etc.
I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch late 2011), that runs Mac OSX 10.7.3, and I was wondering if there was a way to get the bar across the bottom of Finder windows, that says: "7 items selected. 13.25 GB remaining", or something like that.
How can I get the mail app to stop prompting me to set it up when I log in. I have no interest in using the Mail app, and if I could I would delete it (alas it is a required application and I cannot do that). I use google mail and outlook as a client, and I would really just like the Mail app to leave me alone. I have changed all the file associations, and I have checked that mail is not one of the "start on login" apps under my profile.Â
I would liek to make an iso image of OSX Lion but as i seem to recall i downloaded the upgrade from the App Store. Can i do this? i do i need to go back to the last set of physical discs i have an make one from there. If so, how do i create an iso of the OS from those multiple discs?
Ever since installing Lion, my MBP has been very slow and I cannot make any admin changes. In any event where admin privileges are needed, I hit the padlock on the bottom left of the window. It asks for my password. I enter it and it accepts, but the padlock is still locked. . . My username is listed as "Admin" in the users list. I can't add another user because I cant unlock that privilege. I've verified and repaired disk permissions and verified disk with no errors. The installation of Lion was on a clean Hard drive, not an upgrade. Considering going back to SL at this point.Â
I would like to leap to OS X Lion, and have two Macs at OS X v10.5.8. 1. Do I have to purchase OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, and then purchase OS X 10.7 Lion? 2. Do I have to do this twice? i.e. separately for each Mac?
i buyed the new macbook pro with lion software 1- why there is no cd comes withet 2-how can i make a recovery cd 3- why lion is not at list of purched software at apple store if apple sale the hardware with thatÂ
I have an iMac (2008) and a Mac Mini. I heard somewhere that you can connect two macs together and use the processing power of both to make a more powerful machine. Is this true? How do I do it?
Info: iMac (24-inch Early 2008), Mac OS X (10.7.3), and a Mac Mini
I am using Lion on a new MacBook Air, and after migrating my old data from my old MBP, I noticed that Mail no longer makes sounds for new mail or sent mail. I did some research and found something related to IMAP settings, but I use POP, and still don't get the sounds.
Info: MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.4), Migration Assistant
As far as I can tell everything is setup correctly but every time I try to connect I get this message: "You were disconnected by the communication device. Try reconnecting. If the problem continues, verify your settings."
I am trying to connect to a Linux based VPN server. I have double checked my username and password multiple times, made sure the MTU is set the same on client, server, and router, and tried turning the encryption off and on on the server and the client. Nothing has made a difference, I get the same error every time. I am able to FTP and SSH into the Linux box.
As far as I'm aware the hardware is not an issue it's the firware lacking the drivers to be able to install Snow Leopard. I've tried 10.6, 10.6.3 & 10.6.7 to no avail.Â
I've also tried formatting the drive and booting the dmg's like that also to no avail, now backing up to lion via time machine.Â
Years of using windows being easily configurable and moving to mac 4 months ago finding that it quite restrictive but probably why its safer as an OS is frustrating.Â
Is it possible to delete apps that were preinstalled in my Macbook Pro 13"? I would like to free up the space that the apps take up. Some I will never use plus "Safari" doesn't work at all, I have to use "Google Chrome" for the Internet.
I have purchased a new Macbook Pro and am at set up stage yet. I can't go further because the pointer is not working when I am clicking. I can't click on "Start using Mac OS X Lion." I have become so frustrated now! Please let me know if I can fix it or I have to return it to apple centre for fixing.Â
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Mac OS X Lion
I'm trying to make an OS X Lion boot disc. A failed Windows 8 Bootcamp install killed my Mac, but luckily I had a Time Machine backup which was accessible via the Recovery Disk. However, I would still like to have a boot disc handy in case something like this happens again and the Recovery Disk is somehow corrupted.Â
I Googled(among other things) how to make one, and the instructions seem fairly simple. Only, I can't find a Mac OS X Lion Installer anywhere. When I bought my refurbished iMac from Apple, OS X Lion was already on it. Since I didn't download it from the App Store it seems I don't have the Lion Installer to make a boot disc... Anything I can do (besides wasting $30 to redownload Lion from the App Store for the file) ?
Anyone know of a way to make the "Name" field on the login screen in Lion longer? My students login with their active directory account/email address, and almost all of them are too long for them to be able to see the whole thing when typing it into the username field.
For a variety of reasons I want to make the Users' Library visible. The main reason is that I want to Import the Safari bookmarks into Opera. I can't do that because the Users' Library is invisible.Â
If I enter Safari into Spotlight I can find the folder okay but that is useless for my purpose. It's okay if I want to transfer Bookmarks to a new computer or external drive but not for importing the Safari bookmarks to Opera.Â
It used to be visible, I don't know why, it just appeared out of the ether. Since I have updated the OS it has vanished again. Never could understand why the folder was made invisible anyway.Â
I wanted to make a partition like this: but when I click apply, the size keeps going back to half of my hard drive. How do I get it to stay at 40.00 GB? It also shows this when I click apply, so it doesn't work anyway. How do I fix that?
