View 2 Replies View Relatedsome of my friends imessage doesn't work unless they are using wifi. everyone always says hold the message like you are going to copy it then click send as text message but when I hold the message it only says copy and more. how do I get it to send as a text message without shutting my imessage off and without holding the message and clicking send as text message?
View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since upgrading to Yosemite OS X on my MacBook pro, I've been unable to view pictures that I send or receive via SMS Text and iMessage on my phone, and receive via AIM, within iMessage on my computer.
All images show up as their file name only, and cannot be viewed or downloaded (see attached screen shots.)
I can view the images fine on my phone, just not on the computer. I've played around with iMessage settings and nothing seems to work.

I am a new MBP user. I was wondering if there was an auto-correct and predictive text feature for iMessage on the macbook. Also, the double space for a period would be nice as well.

I was wondering how can I change my icons text color as sometimes my backgrounds make the text on the icons to hard to see
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe text color in iWorks Pages (08) seems to be inverted. Though the text colour is set to black all the text appears white. I couldn't find any way to change this "setting" so the colour appears normal again.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a html text editor that color codes html tags. I am used to using cuteHTML on Windows which works EXCELLENT! I would assume there is something like this on OSx? I dont want anything to "build" webpages for me like Dreamweaver. For doing html by hand (and copy/paste) the colors really help your eyes work on a complex page easier than just using textedit for example.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a couple-year-old Dell 22 inch monitor (model SP2208WFP) and I'm having trouble figuring out the best connection to use. I have a early/mid 2010 MacBook Pro and the monitor can connect via VGA, DVI, or HDMI. Connecting via VGA is terrible - text is incredibly unclear and hard to read on the external monitor. Connecting via HDMI is much better in text clarity, but the colors are weird such that I can't see most pictures because they're too dark. Connecting via DVI seems to be the best option - colors are the correct color and the text clarity is fine, but still a little jagged with smaller text. I've tried using the calibrationg assistant in System Preferences on my Mac, but that seems to make things worse.

before switching to Mac, I used an "X-Rite Eye One Display 2" color meter device with software. You can find them most places like Amazon for about $150. The device should still work, but I can't find any software for it for the Mac. After going to the X-Rite web site, I could find no software at all for the Mac as it is only windows based.
Surely someone out there has used a color meter such as this one as they are quite popular especially for graphics artists that use professional graphic monitors. I am hoping someone can tell me how to use my color meter (USB), what software for Mac Leopard I need and how to save the color profile in the Mac OS.
The bottom of my macbook has formed an air bubble and I'm not sure why, or how to fix it. I'm wondering if it may have been caused from heat? It is a 2009 13" Macbook.

got an Emac G4 bubble slow to load and sometimes you just get a blank screen and nothing happens ?
Then you turn of the power and mostly it loads with the apple chime.
Sometimes you got to do it three times .
Other times you notice in the little box as it loads a "?" .
What can i do to get it to load properly ?
When it wont load you get a beep instead of the chime.
I am on the latest 10.10.1 Yosemite, but this problem has happened to me on previous operating systems. On my dock I have a red bubble that says I have unread messages waiting. When I go to messages, I have no unread items. I even went as far and deleted every single conversation. The bubble went away but returned quickly.

All of a sudden my macbook pro's iMessage stopped working! Every time I'd send a message, a red circle with an exclamation point pops up on the side of the message. Somedays it'll be on and off where i could send iMessages but only receive one on my mac. I already reinstalled os x and deleted everything, but iMessage wouldn't work on my mac. Same goes for FaceTime! When I accept a FaceTime call, the whole window goes to the side and disappear.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I send an iMessage to my daughter in Boston, it works fine. She is also an iMessage user.
Sending the same message with a photograph: iMessage will say it has been "delivered" - but then 30 seconds or so later it changes to indicate that transmission failed. Retry never works.
Earlier today I received 2 iMessages from another iPhone 4 user, I only realised this now, when I checked my iPhone. He sent them to my mobile number not my email address. They never showed up on my Mac, (messages beta), are only iMessages sent to email addresses received on mac?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI couldn't log into my iMessage account in the Messages application on Mac OS 10.8.5 on my Macbook Pro. At first it would try to log in, then I get a window saying that I couldn't log in and to contact support, . And this was the "validation code" - 2759-9329-5430
I called support, they said that there was probably just a glitch and it'd be fixed in an hour... it's been about 4 days. Still can't log in. After I received that first message that took me to this page, then is just started saying "can't log in." .I'm back to getting that "validation code" page link again... Who spilled a beer on the iCloud server again?

I have an 09 Mac Pro Nehalem, with nvida gt120 graphics card running 10.6.2 with the latest mac pro 1.4 efi and two 23 inch Apple cinema displays (the older DVI kind)
I go into system preferences>displays>color and try to adjust color on my monitors but selecting different color settings on either monitor only affects ONE monitor, the other monitor is essentially stuck at whatever color setting it is set to.
