I keep getting a message telling me the my Cloud storage is full. Before I purchase more space I would like to see what is only cloud and possible delete some of it. Is this possible and if so how do I do it?

Having Wifi issues ever since the latest upgrade to 7.3.I want to re-install 7.2 She has a MacBook Air SSD Mid 11 production My Grand-daughter never did a backup with Time Machine. She can backup her files now. And the easiest way woudl be to simply do a clean install with 10.7.2

Using 10.6, I've just set up a VPN and it seems Mac prompts me to enter my password every time I access it. I am using 'default' for the configuration. The password is stored in "authentication settings" but then when I hit "connect," I get prompted to enter my login ID and password again.
Not a problem in itself if I could get it log and store my ID/pass at this second prompt. What's worse, I can not even copy and paste text into this 2nd/final access prompt, making it very frustrating to have manually enter a complex password every time I want to use my VPN.
Any ideas how I can have the login ID/password stored? Or otherwise avoid having to manually type it in each time?
It seems that everytime I open an e-mail that has a photo in it, my computer automatically stores the picture. If you type "." a bunch of pictures from my e-mail come up.
My questions are:
1. How do I keep it from storing the pictures?
2. How do I clean it up?
I am running on Snow Leopard. I enabled web sharing, and when I go to http://localhost in Safari, I see a page, but I don't know where it's stored on my computer.

I have an iMac with an 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. My memory consists of 4 GB 1067 Mhz DDR3.

On my iPhone 5 it works.Â

A friend of mine (PC user) used a program which copies a web-page as well as all sub-pages linked within the main page. We used it two years ago a road-trip when we wanted to read about up coming locations while we had no connection. It has been two years, by now there must be any equivalent app for the Mac side.

Due to the volume of photos, my iPhoto is becoming cumbersome and certain photos are only retained for historical reasons not viewing.
I tend to "save" email addresses by remembering the first few characters, and allowing Mail to fill in the rest, from some list of addresses it saves based on who I've sent mail to in the past.
WHERE is this list saved? I now want to move to a new Mac, and I don't want to lose all my "almost saved" email addresses.
I want to store my iTunes library on an external hdd and use it with a Mac and a PC. All changes made on the Mac should be recognised on the PC and all changes made on the PC should although be recognised on the Mac - one library for both. I already tried to store my library from my PC on an external HDD and then started iTunes on the Mac, pressing "alt". But I wasn't able to open the library. When I choose library.itl, the Mac just opens iTunes without opening my iTunes library. How I can put all my music, videos and podcasts on the external and then use it on Mac and PC?

I am getting my MacBook Pro from my college in the next few days and for a while now I have been thinking how I will listen to my music. My college likes to have the best of both worlds so they install Windows 7 right onto the hard drive before I get it. I have a zune and I highly prefer using the zune software as opposed to itunes. I also like having the option to listen to music on both OS's.
I was thinking about storing my media on a separate partition of the hard drive that is in a format that would work and is readable/writeable on both OS's.
I have my iTunes library set to an external drive. The boxes in Pref/advanced are check. I have checked my internal drive in the old iTunes location and see new podcasts and music living there. I need to perform a organize library to move the files.
This seems to have happened in iTunes 9 and 10.
The iTunes Music library does point to an external.
I use the Mac mail application on my Macbook Pro. Running OS X 10.6.5. I have several email accounts. 2 of them are aol accounts (IMAP). For some reason, for the past 2 days, when I send an email from those aol accounts, even though the email goes through, the email does not show up in my SENT folder. I know the email goes through because I receive replies from the recipient.
My 2 other email accounts (not aol) don't have that problem. Once again, this just started suddenly, 2 days ago (only with aol accounts)
When I highlight the SENT folder in the sidebar - and then go to the MAILBOX pulldown menu - and select USE THIS MAILBOX FOR - the options are all grey. I can't select them.
I have a huge catch of photos that I am currently scanning and would like to store digitaly, numbering in the thousands. Right now I'm using iphoto to store the ones I have scanned, but I have only a macbook with an 80gb hardrive, and an external drive of 320gb. Evantually i am going to run out of room. I am wondering what is the best way to transfer the photos to the external drive, so that I can delete the current photos from my internal drive to free up space, then later, when I have added more photos, transfer those to the external drive, without having to have all of them in the iphoto library photo catch? I am concerned that if they are all stored in the iphoto library folder on the external drive, then eventurlly, this folder will be too big to reload on my computer. Also, when I erased the photos already stored in the external drive from the internal, then added new ones, then tried to put those in the external drive from iphoto, the external asks me if I want to overwrite the iphoto library it has stored because the folder names are the same. I would like to be able to have several iphoto library files on the external drive, so they don't all go into one huge file. Does that make sense? If anyone has any experience with organizing a huge catch of photos, I would love to hear it, as this is relatively new to me.

I asked in the shop and they said it was possible to store files on Time Capsule when they're deleted off the mac, but I was wondering if you could how its possible, and how I would do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know that it's possible to have iTunes point to an external HD for storage. My questions to the board are:
a) has anyone or does anyone currently do it
b) how difficult is it to set up
c) plusses or minuses that you've come across
d) synchability with iPhone

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to keep my pages documents in the cloud to access and update them from different computers (i don't write on my iPhone or iPad). For some reason this doesn't seem intuitive, and I can't figure it out... Everything I read about this just talks about moving from a desktop to iOS devices, which I don't care about. I have Pages 09 on OSX10.7.4.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a time capsule setup and I'm trying to keep my iTunes library on the time capsule drive to keep my MacBook hard drive free. I keep pointing the file path in settings to the library file on the time capsule but it will randomly fall back to the default location on my hard drive with no warning. Is there anyway I can make sure it STAYS pointed to the time capsule? It's a pain to have all my songs come up with "!" and have to go and fix the path in settings again and watch it "update" everything and reorder the files and then work fine again.
The time capsule is hosting my internet network so the second I step into my house I connect to that network so I would think iTunes never has to search for it and not find it for some reason. However, I would also like to have iTunes setup to see my library on time capsule when I'm out in the wild and talking to it over the internet. I haven't set up time capsule yet to be seen over the internet but I plan to do that tonight, I'm just wondering if I'll have to change the iTunes path every couple days back to my remote drive instead of it's default path.
I have a lot of music on my macbook and want to download more. I just bought a 520 GB hard drive. How would you recommend storing this music so that it would be easily accessible from the external and backed up yet cleared from my computer? there has to be an easier way than what I had with my pc......(everytime I wanted to hear a song from my external or put one on a cd I had to go through all these folders - transfer the song from the external to the computer and wait)

I purchased my computer in 2006, had optical disc drive replaced in 2009 and iafter three years of limited use, the second one will no longer burn discs...I have tried all of the options available on this site....so I think I am going to invest in an external burner, a La Cie. However, would it be possible for me to store some of my music and photos on a zip drive? I have never used them before and wonder if this computer will work with them. My iPhoto is so full and I want to remove some of the pics and store them.

I certainly hope that the news of Photo Journals for IOS devices will also soon allow us to store, edit and save our photos not only on IOS devices, but also on our laptops, MacAirs and desktops.Â
Most of us that have been using iPhoto for the past 5 (ish) years, prefer to edit and store them on our laptops and desktops.Â
