OS X V10.7 Lion :: Software Update Catch 22

I started up my Intel Core 2 Duo Mac Mini (10.7.3) this morning and software update told me I had 7 updates to install. When it got to the "installing 7 Items" stage, an installation alert popped up telling me to close iPhoto to continue with the installation. The problem is that iPhoto isn't open. Perhaps another family member has it open but if I try to log out it gets cancelled by software update.so, it is currently hung on "running package scripts" and won't move until I close iPhoto. I'm loath to force shut down and force quit isn't highlighted.

I know that this error in the Console Log has been around for a while, but I've spent all day searching and I can't find the answer. It's the last, and only, error that I have in my log now. Here it is:

im new here and just bought a new macbook! so im new to mac as well.
i work for 24 hours, and i leave my macbook at home...now my roommate has people over all the time, and i know they try and use my macbook to play music. but they always deny it.
is there a program or way i can use the isight to take a pic, and see what password they are trying to type when they try and login?

I just heard about Flashback and wonder if my computer (or possibly iPhone) is infected. My iTunes account was recently hacked and I received over $70 in charges for purchases I did not make. I was told that Flashback can and does hijack usernames and passwords. I installed and ran iAntiVirus but it didn't pick up anything. I also have an iPhone and an iPad that I access my iTunes store from quite frequently.

All my 4 Email-Accounts are invisible. It's unable to click in th checkbox in iTunes 10.6 (Synchronize Mail-Accounts).I can synchronize my Mails in "Mail-Programm" and on my iPhone.

As I move my mouse, it will suddenly stop and then catch up again. I'm on 10.7.4 mac mini 2.3gb with 8gb ram, anda second monitor attached to the thunderbolt port.

I updated with the latest Lion patch yesterday and since then Entourage has either hung or taken a very long time to update from our 2003 Exchange server (I have MS Office 2011 but as you're probably aware, there are issues integrating with a 2003 Exchange server). how this might be fixed, short of updating both our 2003 Windows Server to Windows Server 2008 x64 and Exchange to 2010 so I (the only Mac user out of 85 staff) can use Outlook 2011?

Started the 10.7.4 install, and it halted. Turned my Mac off, started it back up, and apparently the 10.7.4 update didn't install, but it has caused the Mail function to not work AT ALL - I get a long error report that is auto sent to Apple.Â
I downloaded Lion from the Apple store, but have my Snow Leopard disk. How do I go about re-installing Mail?Â

"Software Update can't connect to the Update Server" - so I can't even check to see if updates are available.This has been going on for sometime. For a while if I created a new admin account and used that it would work, but not today.Tried creating a new admin account but to no avail.
I clcik on the Apple Icon, (top left hand side of screen), click on SOFTWARE UPDATE, it runs for a split second, then: [URL]after which I check my internet connect to see that it's fine. (And I attempt to run SU with nothing else using the internet). [URL] I've checked the forum and found a few people with the same problem. I've tried deleting PLISTs and using 008.008.008.008 DNS address, [URL], but still cannot get it to work. I still have my old G4 Power running OS 10.5.8 connected to the same modem (Netcomm NB6PLus4w Modem which has 4 ports) as my Mac Mini, and it runs Software Update without any issues. So it's not my internet connection and it's not the Apple server, so it's something about the Mac Mini that's not right.

When I try to update my mac i get the following error:Â
"A network error has occurred. Check your Internet connection, and then try again." Â
This has been happening for over a week now. Looking at the Console I get the error:Â
"4/10/12 8:03:54.398 AM Software Update: Error: The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -3001.) (NSURLErrorDomain code -3001)"Â
I've verified and repiared disk permissions a couple of times and restarted the system with no success.

I just bought my MacBook Pro and installed the updates... however, when I try to update my iTunes (since it says version 10.6.3 is available) but when it's almost done I get a message stating it can't be installed because the "update cannot be verified". I'm trying to update my Macbook Pro to the new 10.7.4 I have downloaded the update twice (no interruptions during download) and when i click to restart the computer to install the update, the update dosent install. I keep getting an error message saying the download is corrupted, when the update tries to unpack to install. Â

Whether through the App Store or the Apple download page, it starts to download, gets a certain way through, and then just stops. In the App Store, after awhile I get a message that Software Update can't connect to the update server. On the Apple.com download page, it just stops downloading. I don't think it's our internet connection, because the update worked just fine for our other iMac (which is older than the one I'm having trouble with).

I bought my Macbook pro 13'' mid-late summer last year. During that time perid Lion osx was being advertised but not realesed. If you bought a computer during that time period you were given OSX Lion for free. Im sure their are commercials with it and the cashier even said i would. I never received it and im tried calling them but of couse i didnt purchase support. My macbook broke within 1 week after purchase but i received a new one because it was under warranty.Â

The update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.  I seem to get this every time Apple update Mac OS X. Eventually after many many tries it will work , but come on!
