I am new to Apple. I would like to set up folders in iMail like I had in Outlook. In fact, I converted my folders to iMail and they are 'On my Mac." I tried to drag them to the accounts where I want them, but it won't work. Any suggestions?

Going on a business trip, taking laptop. Have Comcast, POP service only. Don't want emails to accumulate on my home computer while I'm gone. If I delete the accounts from my desktop and set them up on the (borrowed) laptop, what happens to the many emails I've saved to folders on my desktop. Don't want to lose those....

All of my iMail accounts/mailboxes disappeared overnight (two nights ago). I did not delete the accounts/mailboxes, nor was anyone else using this computer (a MacBook Pro). Did make one change before this happened: I setup a LogIn Password. Running OSX 10.8.5 Mountain Lion. Time Machine not setup (so no backup). Using iCloud but not for Mail.

I have a user who just switched from Mac Mail to Outlook 2011. Getting a strange issue when sending to users on Outlook 2010 PC.
When sending a message, users on Outlook 2011 and people viewing the message via web mail can see the message fine. It reports that it's a digitally signed message (just one sentence), and the certificates look fine. Via the web, the message appears fine. It says:
"This message has a digital signature. The digital signature could not be validated because the S/MIME control is not available." However, it comes up fine.
However, users on Outlook for PC (my version is 2010), cannot read it. I first get a preview pane error "This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read its contents." And when I double-click on the message, I get a pop up window "Your Digital ID name cannot be found by the underlying security system."
Anyone can provide clues why other Outlook MAC users and via the web the message can be read, but just not PC Outlook users for now?
I will be switching from Outlook 2007 to Office for Mac Outlook 2011 for my business email/calendar/contacts. I am pleased with Outlook 2007, but despise my PC otherwise. I will be using Microsoft Exchange as my email server. My concerns: Calendar Syncing, Accessing Archived PST files, Transitioning current mail folders.
I have a couple questions regarding this switch:
- Will Office for Mac Outlook 2011 accommodate by business needs and offer a comparable application as Office 2007 (PC version)?
- What roadblocks or issues should I be aware of when making this switch?
I have OS X and never bought LION as I dont know that much about this stuff. Do I buy OS X LIon now or wit for OS X Mountain Lion? Dont hate me because I'm a LUddite..

We use Exchange 2007 in our office. My mail, notes, and tasks all work fine in my Outlook 2011 for MAC. The calendar is blank. I have removed and added the account twice. It's been this way for more than a week. My calendar is fine when I go through outlook web access. It is also working on my iphone. Others in the office using the same Lion version have no problems. I added my account to another MAC with 10.6.2 and everything, including calendar, works fine.

I'm tired of having to jump thru hoops to replace files in my Utilities folder with updated versions. First I have to move the old file to the trash, but I have to enter my password. Then I copy the new file to the Utilities folder but, again, I have to enter my password. Much less user friendly than older versions of Mac OSX (and even Classic). I'm guessing it has to do with security, though I can replace files in the Applications folder without so much effort.I'm guessing the permissions of the Utilities folder have to be changed but changed to what? I want to be able to simply drag an updated application file to the Utilities folder and replace the old one without so much effort.

I have my MacMail set to see my work's Outlook exchange (for PC), but all I can see in MacMail is my Exchange Inbox, Sent, and Trash, but I cannot see any of the (admittely numerous) folders I have on my exchange e-mail account at work. Is there anyway to do this WITHOUT using Mac OfficeÂ
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it still the case that one cannot import data from Outlook into Mail without having to pay for additional third party software to facilitate the task and IF so - do we know whether Apple plans to resolve this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just returned to the iPhone after 2 years with Android and am trying to sync my calendar and address book via iCal. Supposedly this was made possible by Outlook 11 Service Pack 2, released in April, but I can't make it work. I'm on the current versions of Lion (10.7.3), Microsoft Office (14.2.2) and iPhone (5.1.1). Here's some of what I have tried so far: Rebuilding the Microsoft Office database. Turning sync services off in Outlook by unchecking all the boxes, then turning it back on again. Resetting Sync Services on the mac side from the menu at the top of screen. Going into Library/Preferences and deleting everything related to SyncServer. I also tried creating a new OS X user account then syncing up that account from Outlook to see if there was a problem with my user account and once again could not sync.

I'm having some trouble figuring out how to sync outlook over a iMac and Mac Book Pro without connecting them by a cable each time.Â
Had the Mac Book first and did a migrate to the iMac. Everything is working fine but when I open an email on one it doesn't show that its already been opened on the other.Â
Is there a way to get outlook to update itself, or a program out there that will do this for me.

I am working with a friend who uses Microsoft Office 2011 on an iMac running 10.7.2. He is suddenly unable to print from Outlook. Choosing Print... from the File menu or clicking a print button produces no result at all - the normal print dialogue box does not appear. Previously he could print without a problem. He has no problem printing from Word in Office 2011.
We have updated Office to 14.1.4 through Microsoft Update. We have worked through the advice in the Microsoft support document 2409305 - backing up Outlook identities, and removing Oulook Preferences as advised there. The error remains. We then created a new identity and found we could print from that. So we followed the Microsoft advice to rebuild the Outlook identity database. We still cannot print from Outlook.
I try now to transfer all my mails with their categories to Outlook too but I don't succeed. I read some discussions on this forum but they are obsolete as they were with snowLeopard and Outlook 2011. Would someone have good news for me and find a way to transfer all the mails with their categories from Apple Mail to Outlook 2011 for Mac ?

When I send an email with 2 or more docs attached, the bottom half of the email disappears when opened in Outlook! Any tips how to prevent this? It only happens when I send to an Outlook user - the same person can view the whole email on their phone. This has happened a couple of times recently.

I have a large dataset in Excel that I have to do a multiple find/replace in (changing USPS state abbreviations to their full names). In searching the Microsoft boards--I was directed to use Applescript, and even the documented help with Excel was recommeding this. Unfortunately, there wasn't much help potinting me in the specific direction I needed.
