[10.7.3 Lion] How can I disable the saving of wifi passwords in the keychain? This mac will have multiple users and they will each need to login to the WIFI using their own creditentials.

A friend of mine has a MacBook and for some reason it won't keep the WiFi password for her home network. Whenever she restarts the Mac or turns it on it will find the home network but it prompts her for a password. She is selecting to have this network remember.

Just curious if there is a way to not allow the user to change the "Require password" option (Security Prefs/General) in Lion (10.7.3). If I make the user managed by the server I could disable the pane, but I'd rather than do that in this case. Any way to do it with a standalone machine? I want to force the Require password option and not allow the user to disable it.

I worked out this bugger mostly by chance, some people online are offering some out date info on this topic. Which involves pressing a pencil icon in the advanced area of network to pull up the hidden password, but that is not available. I found it in KeyChain that is easy to find in the Utilities. Its pretty easy to work it out from there.

Periodically the wireless network has to be manually reselected in airport even after several attempts to save the preferences. It appears as the preffered network but simply won't stay connected. It is an existing network that has worked just fine with an older PC, and a macbook. The only issue is with keeping the iMac online. Is there a way to correct this so that the "network not selected" nonesense ceases and it remains connected?

been trying to log onto airport with my pismo at work. log in attempt pops up a window claiming that my password is wrong...but system admin says and demonstrates it isn't with other laptops...plus, I can log into non-password protected wifi in the building no problem...what's going on? I am a network administrator and an mac user. No one else is my IT dept knows anything about macs so I have been given the responsibility of managing our 5 or so Mac's in the company. I've been able to figure everything out fine, but I have one user that insists on turning on the screensaver password on his computer. Now on windows, you can unlock a computer using an administrator account but on mac this is not the case. I want to disable the option for the screensaver password but I do not know how. The user is a local administrator on the computer because that is needed for a few things but he is making it impossible for me to work on his computer because of the password. Also, I've tried telling him not to enable it but he seems to not care what I think.

Since installing Yosemite 10.10.1, every time I turn on my MacBook Pro I have to Select User and then login with my password. I don't want this, since I'm the only user and it wastes time. This didn't used to happen before installing Yosemite. I can't find the button in Security and Privacy that turns this off!
