I have Mac OS X Snow Leopard Version 10.6.8. Can't receive nor send email. I have two email addresses using ATT. One address works, the other doesn't. The bad address is behaving weirdly: In Mail, in the "On My Mac" folder labeled "Recovered Messages," the contents refer to one email sent with a PDF file (19.7 MB). This email keeps cloning itself, and I keep deleting them. I resorted to deleting the PDF file from my computer. No luck. I recently changed my email addresses from AOL addresses to ATT (powered by Yahoo) addresses, in case this has anything to do with it. Have shut down computer and modem twice with no luck. The Mail Activity window is wild with activity, none of which I understand.

I purchased my Macbook Pro (late 2013) Retina last month and it was fine to send and receive messages through imessage.I will see a notification for the message, but when actually going into the imessage, the message is shown after maybe 5 minutes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI said I cannot send or receive emails with my @mac.com email address even though both email addresses are listed within the mobileme acoount. I don´t understand. I haven't changed anything or screwed up anything , actually I haven´t done anything at all, just check for emails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I'm a new Mac user, on a macbook and I really like it, but all of a sudden yesterday, I can't receive or send messages to one of my buddies on iChat. On another computer it will work, but not with iChat. My buddy will send me a message, and the red "1" will come up on the icon on the dock, but when I click on it, nothing comes up. Even further, when I click on this specific buddie's name, I will not be able to send a message, because no chat box will appear. When I have my computer show all things that are open, nothing will show up from that buddy, so...when I spoke to my AppleCare help, they said that it wasn't their fault or an app issue, that it was the other computer or the AIM server that had the problem. Is there anything I can do to pull up my chats with my friend?

The Apple Mail on my son's iMac 5, running OS X 10.6.8, shows the number of unread messages (9), but if I click on InBox, the messages themselves don't show up in the main window. This suddenly happened, and none of his old, read messages show up either. But he can access them just fine from his iPod, or through his Network Solutions web mail interface. Also, in Mail we can search part of his email address, and all the messages show up, read and unread! He has no rules set up. The connection doctor shows the connection is fine.

In the past few weeks, I have had major trouble in sending emails from my Macbook via the mail application (program), but I am able to receive mail fine. Any hints before I throw my Macbook onto oncoming traffic (which is also running majorly slow since the last update). I have been sitting here for about 30 mins waiting to send an email.

I recently bought a Mac book Pro and I was starting to set up my Hotmail e-mail on my mail app. But when I set the e-mail on the app I did not receive any message although I could send messages out. I had a mac air and when I set up the e-mail, I received mail with no problem. Why am I not receiving mails on my Mac Pro?

My apple mail version 7.3 has never had any problems connecting with my gmail account, but recently whenever I try to send an email, it goes straight to the outbox and then a popup saying "Gmail cannot connect to the server" or something like that comes up. It asks me to enter my password, and I do and then it just pops up the same error again. I have tried changing my password and made sure I am entering it correctly but it just does not work. I can receive mail fine.Â
