View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a folder with about 600 funny photos that I randomly saved. And you know how pictures you save from sites have random long numbers as names? Well here is what I want: I want to know if there is a way to automatically number all the photos starting from 1. Any way to do it that is already in Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 or recommend some software.

I was wondering if it were possible to put a poster of a movie I downloaded in Front Row just like how the movie previews have it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to Itunes 12.0.1.26. When I go to album info/artwork I drag, or add from saved location, a movie poster from Ben Dodson (Standard Resolution). The poster appears in the box but when I click ok the movie box shows the working wheel but when its done the poster is not added and its the default box. *Note I am working with my own added movie and not an iTunes Purchase and my media library is on a local network drive. Also I did not have a problem adding posters in iTunes 11.

I'm in the market for Illustrator, but I just can't spend the money on the full version. Would CS2 be good enough for designing shirts and posters for charity events, or should I bite the bullet and spend the extra money on CS2?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhere did this feature go? In the previous version of iPhoto, you could select a picture and there was a one-click process for ordering prints and/or posters. Is this feature hiding somewhere? I use it on occasion for posters. I have attached a pic showing the group where the button for the feature used to reside.

I was looking for an external hard drive to backup my photos/music collection. I was hoping to stick with Western Digital in 1TB capacity.
Do I have to buy one of their hard drives that says specifically on the box "For MAC" or can I buy any Western Digital Hard Drive.
My concern is that it won't work with Time Machine.
I'm able to make DVDs from iPhoto or IMovie & I've mastered IDVD's Menus pretty well. The DVDs play ok in DVD players to that's a plus. Now, what I want to do is somehow put folders of photos .... mainly those I've used in the slideshows...... if possible, on the same DVD. The idea is I can gift a DVD with a video/slideshow & if the recipient wants the photos they can insert DVD disc into their own computer (not necessarily Apple) & download the photos.

I work on Excel files through my Office Mac program. On two occasions, a large Excel file, (about 1.5 MB) will not save and is not recoverable. It gives me an error code -43. I work on many such files without problem, but this has now happened on two occasions with important files.

Don't know how to file a possible bug report. I checked my OS-X version and it is 10.5.8, maybe more recent versions have been fixed: Here is a cut & paste from the gfortran bugzilla site  [reply] [-]2012-06-04 02:38:12 UTC Calls to fortran subroutines that use large temporary arrays fill up 'idle memory' on the MAC-OSX, as can be seen with 'top' or the Mac 'activity monitor'. I found that I can get around this by using: call system('purge')  in the code to evoke the command line 'purge' from within the program before the 'return' statement for such subroutines to free the idle memory; but I was wondering whether something could be done more fundamentally at the compiler level to avoid this problem. Without such clearing of idle memory I used to hear lots of disk access being done to get around the small amount of free 'core' memory. Massive arrays would eat up many Gb of core memory by turning it to 'idle memory'. Maybe there is a compile time option that I do not know about. [reply] [-]Comment 12012-06-04 02:47:43 UTC This sounds more like a bug in the Mac OS X kernel/libc and how it handles memory allocation.
