Software :: Trying To Upload Photos In Facebook - Java Won't Work
Jul 5, 2008I seem to have some problems with Java. For instance, when trying to upload photos in Facebook, the java "thing" won't work. It's no longer asking me if I trust the certificate. This has happened on other websites as well.
I have tried to go in to Java webstart in Utilites and when it opens I am getting these messages:
"java.security.PrivilagesActionException: java.io.IOException: permission denied"
"java.lang.NullPointerException"
I'm not quite sure what all this means and to be honest I'm not really sure "what" java actually is (is embarrassed).

Jun 21, 2014More details: I used to be able to upload photos of people into Address Book (now Contacts) from wherever I had them stored on my MacBook Pro or separate drive. Now that I have upgraded to Mavericks I am being told that this is only possible using iCloud or Face (Aperture). I do not store my photos on iCloud and have no intention whatsoever of doing so. Is there a way around this or do we need to tell Apple that this needs to be restored.

Sep 1, 2014I created a smart folder on my MBP so I can see the streamed photos without using iPhoto.
~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub is where they are stored.
The criteria is to search for "kind is image" in the sub folder.
I see images that do not exist anymore on my iPad and iPhone. I thought that everything would sync and that images older than 30 days would not appear. Why are these photos collecting on my mac? If I delete them on my iPad, shouldn't they be deleted from my MBP 10.9.4 as well As from my iPhone?
