ICloud On Mac :: Deleted Photo Stream Pictures Still On MBP
Sep 1, 2014
I created a smart folder on my MBP so I can see the streamed photos without using iPhoto.
~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub is where they are stored.
The criteria is to search for "kind is image" in the sub folder.
I see images that do not exist anymore on my iPad and iPhone. I thought that everything would sync and that images older than 30 days would not appear. Why are these photos collecting on my mac? If I delete them on my iPad, shouldn't they be deleted from my MBP 10.9.4 as well As from my iPhone?
Info:
MBP 15 CD, MBP C2D 17, 17 Uni; TiBook, G4 MP500; iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7),
Downloaded the new Aperture that allows you to delete pictures from Photo Stream. I deleted photos but those photos remain on my iphone. What did I do wrong?
Photo stream on my iPhone does not have all pictures in Photo stream on my computer. How do I get the missing pictures to show up on my iPhone? I followed the instructions to plug my iPhone into my computer. The instructions then indicate to select photos under devices to sync them but photos doesn't how up under devices.
Info: MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
I have sent invites to my photo stream but invitees are getting the message that the photo stream may have been changed or deleted - it hasn't. What do I do?
I've seen a few threads similar to this, but I haven't been able to find an answer. So, here goes. I have been having ongoing problems with photo stream not syncing all my photos. It's almost as if it has a mind of it's own. A few weeks ago I took three pictures for a friend - two of them appeared on photo stream the last never did. It STILL isn't there. It shows up on my camera roll on my iPhone 4S, but not in the cloud. Today I took EIGHT pics at a park and NOT ONE shows up in photo stream. Below is what I have tried:
Turned photo stream off on Mac and then back on
Turned photo stream off on iPhone and back on
Restarted iPhone
None of these steps have fixed the problem. I thought one of the big selling points of photo stream was that it 'AUTOMATICALLY' syncs all of your pics and pushes them to ALL your devices.
Also should point out - I am aware that photo stream ONLY syncs photos over Wi-Fi - I've been connected to my home wi-fi for about four hours and the pics still aren't syncing
We were huge fans of accessing pictures via Mobile Me and using them as a screensaver on Apple TV.It appears this functionality is disappearing once Mobile Me ends and being replaced with Photo Stream which only shows pictures uploaded in the past 30 days.Is there any other way to view albums created in Aperture as a screensaver on Apple TV?
I used to share albums and slideshows with friends and family using MobileMe. Does iCloud have the same capability or do I need to find another app to share photos?
I've noticed that my Photo Stream is not updated after I've made significant edits to my photos in Aperture. If this is not working as intended, is there something I must do to have my Photo Stream updated after I've edited it? If it is just not an implemented feature, would this be something you could implement in the future. I'd rather have my edited pictures show up on my iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV when I'm showing pictures to my friends, than the raw photos that I simply uploaded into Aperture.
I take pictures with my iPhone 4s and they go to my iPad just great but I only get about 50% of them to my MacBook Pro. They are radomly not there. There will be five or six that are there then 5 or 6 that are black no photo. All the warythrough the 200 photos I took on my latest trip? Is there any reason for this random messing up of photos? Is there anyway of getting them on the MacBook short of syncing my iPhone 4s through iPhoto? I am not liking this Photo Stream right now to many missing photos.
It was good that Apple added the much needed "Delte" Featuer to Photo Stream. The next issue that came a long for me is: Photo Stream still saves all photos I take into my iPhoto library.
So, even though I choose "Delte" in Photo Stream there is still a copy saved in my iPhoto library.
Usually it creates an event and names it "May '12 Photo Stream" or something similar.
Then I again have to go into this event and delte the photos a second time.
Is there a way to disable this feature?
I would like to manually add photos from Photo Stream to my library.
I wanted to free up space and stop the hundreds of pictures from automatically transferring to my moblie devies, so I thought I'll go ahead and reset photo stream, but I when I try to, I keep getting this error: "Could not reset your photo stream."Your photo stream could not be reset at this time due to a server error. Try again later."
I have an iPhone, iPad and Macbook but can not get my photo streams to sync on all my devices. Example I have 5 different streams on my phone but they are not visible on my macbook and iPad
How do I change where photos are saved from photo stream? Right now when they are just in iphoto I cant access them when i go to upload a photo to email/blog/fb. I want them to be more easily accessible for upload automatically, like go into a folder rather than the iphoto app in the Pictures folder.
I just got a new macbook and I want to get all the pictures from my phone to iPhoto. On my iPhone are all my iPhoto events and I can't figure out how to transfer them. I know how to tranfer each new picture I take, but not the older ones. How can I do this?
I am trying to setup photostream to work with two iPhones. I have created a me.com account for one of them and a gmail.com account for the other iPhone. The me.com account works for photostream but I cannot get the gmail account to work. The me.com account says that it is the primary account. Does this mean that photostream only works for one account?
When photo stream photos go into your iphoto library, do they stay there permanently or do they disappear over time? like in the events tab on iphoto I have october 11 photo stream, nov 11 photo stream, etc. Are they gonna stay there or do I have to save them?
I haven't been able to figure out why, on my icloud homepage, I don't have the photo stream icon. I've gone through my preferences many times to see if photo stream is checked and it is, and still no icon on the homepage. I'm at a lose.
