I have the original Harman Kardon Soundsticks (USB connection) which have worked beautifully through every OS until 10.7; now my mini no longer recognizes them. I've tried the various remedies offered (unplug USB and/or power cables and reinsert) during the 10.6.8 occurence of the same issue (and I had no problem with that OS) to no avail.

I got a new MacBook Pro with 10.7 (updated to 10.7.3 now). I'm running the printer through Airport Express's USB.It was working fine, but at some point, I'd get the interminable "Finding printer". I could be misremembering though,and maybe it never worked with 10.7, though I think it did!
I tried to deselect the printer driver and re-select. I stupidly deleted the driver (or perhaps just removed it from the Print & Scan window? and now I can't get it back again (via the HP site). The HP site maintains that the driver comes with 10.6 and I assume the same works with 10.7 -- is this a correct assumption.

I have a MacPro 1,1 with a 2 x 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon and I just upgraded to OSX Lion 10.7.4. Upon upgrading my system stopped recognizing the two optical drives I had installed. Is there a patch or are there drivers that I can download to fix this? Has this happened to anyone else? I was prepared to lose access to some older software but not my optical drives!!!

I backed up some movies for the kids onto an external drive (USB without power cord). Now when I plug it in, it does not even show up. If I try to look at it with the disk utility it sayd the file system is not recognised. Last time I accesed the disk was under leopard. Could it be that the change to lion has cut off access now?I do hear the disk start up when it plugs in and I have not seen any strange history with this disk before switching to Lion. (A drive of the same make but bigger and with power cord plus USB still works from before and after Lion). Small disk is Freecom 1TB (pocet size), Large disk is 2TB also Freecom but with powerfeed seperately.

I hope I can get some help for a bizarre problem I'm having with my iBook G4 (1.2ghz). When I first got the machine (2004) I put in a 256mb Crucial stick and never had a problem. Recently (last 2 months?) I've noticed that a big slowdown so on a whim I checked my "About this Mac" and sure enough it only lists the stock 256mb. Is it possible for the added RAM to have just plopped out?

About two weeks ago I started using external speakers, but my headphones still worked when I plugged them in, until about yesterday. The headphones are not even recognized the the volume just goes throught the laptop speakers. My headphones work with my ipod still so I know they are fine.

It was working fine for a good month or so but as I was copying something to the card today, an error message appeared which said something about not having the right privilege to copy the content over to the SD card. The SD card was unmounted (if that's the word you'd use) automatically. When I tried plugging it back in to try again, nothing happened. I've tried plugging it into my PC but it says the device I've plugged in is not recognisable. The SD card reader has a red light that goes on when you plug it in which doesn't switch on anymore.
I've put the SD card itself into my TV as I was copying some video onto it. 15 minutes of the video has been copied and it's playable which to me suggests that the SD card itself is fine? Is there any way I can get it working again? I don't really understand what's happened.
I've got a 1.5Ghz PB G4 (128MB Radeon 9700 model), and it would appear that the DVD burner is no longer being recognized. It's out of warranty. I've opened it up and verified that the cables are all connected. I know it is receiving power, because it spins up when I tell the computer to shut down. Symptoms: disc in the drive does not mount, eject key does nothing, Disc Burning in System Profiler says "No burning device was found. If you are using an external device please make sure that it is connected and powered properly.", disc in drive is not seen by Disk Utility, ATA in System Profiler only shows my hard drive.

Was taking an impossible amount of time, so I canceled it. Now iTunes won't recognize it. I can't see it in Disk Utility either (although I'm not sure that is possible)
Anyway, I've tried restarting iTunes and the iPod and neither has resulted in success. Ideas?
recently (the last week or so) my computer has stopped recognizing my digital camera. I have a G5 running in version 10.4.6 and a Fujifilm FinePix 460 camera. I had never had any problems before, usually I would plug in the camera and it would show up in iPhoto and on the desktop right away, but now no matter what I do, it won't connect. The camera says it is connected, but not the computer. I have tried switching around the plugs in the back, and also restarting, etc... but nothing's working...

I have tried various ways of loading the xml file, and it just comes up as a blank/ new Library. The other day, for no reason I could tell, I launched iTunes and it created a new Library and will not open my usual Library. This problem did not exactly coincide neatly with updating to 10.6 either, so frankly I have no idea what happened. So, maybe I could restore using iTunes 10.5. But I can't find any download links for 10.5. Is there somewhere to download previous versions of iTunes? Or do they remove anything and everything for previous versions with each update?

I have an iMac 21.5" Late 2009 3.06 GHz Intel Core Duo 2. OS X 10.9.4. All of a sudden my iSight is no longer recognized. There is no open application using it. It does not show up in the System Profilier.
Some people suggest to zap the PRAM but I can't even get my computer to do that. It only chimes once and then stars up normally even though I am holding down the option/command/P/R keys.
I have the original Harman Kardon Soundsticks, which have worked beautifully since the early 2000s, till this new iMac - they're not showing up as an output source in Sound Preference. I've contacted both Applecare Support - no idea - and Harman Kardon - Apple isn't supplying the drivers anymore. The thing is, they played just fine with the older iMac just replaced, which was running MacOS 10.7.2. Drivers are software, right? Were they just dropped from the OS with this last update, or is there a hardware issue? The older iMac was a 24", Intel, that I bought in April, 2007.
Anyway, this is very disappointing since the Soundsticks have excellent sound and still work. Is there a way to get the drivers, or is there also a hardware component?

Lion does not recognized HP Scanner. Lion initially recognized the scanner and it worked perfectly for months. All of a sudden communications with the scanner stopped. I have checked the USB cable and it is working properly. I am using Bootcamp and when I boot in Windows the scanner and computer (iMac) work perfectly. I have downloaded, removed and reinstalled the HP software and update for Lion. When I go into System Preferences > Print/Scan, It sees all other printers and scanners including another HP printer scanner.

I have noticed for few days, that since I have upgraded to OS X 10.7.3 I cannot open my scanner any more. Mac shows a message that says "it cannot open de applications installer because the application PowerPC is not compatible anymore" I have tried to search new drivers on Epson website but they still have the old ones.Is there any way I can scan documents again or I have to change printer. when I connect my Garmin Edge 705 to the MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.7.4) the device won't mount as USB-drive instead it just goes into charging mode. This wasn't the case earlier with the MacBook Pro (>10.7.3) and this isn't the case with a MacBook running still on Snow Leopard.

When I plug the disk in an USB port in the MBP, the light that indicates operation starts blinking but very lighltly colored and the disk is not recognized by the computer. I have put data on it using iMac Snow Leopard. I have plugged the disk into a MBP running Snow Leopard and it works. I have also tried another Lion (older MBP) and it also works.
How come the disk is not mounted or shown in Disk Utility. Can it be a power issue?
I have noticed there a lot of similar posts in the forum and none has been satisfactorily solved. Is this a mayor Lion bug? If yes, how can I downgrade to Snow Leopard?

I am positive the problem is due to the MS-DOS (FAT 32) file system (my other laptop is a PC running on Windows Vista), but I don't know how to fix this. Since i did not want to lose any files on my CF card, I took a blank formatted card (formatted in camera) and took 2 photos. When connecting the reader to the Mac it did not register.
I have a Sandisk 8-in-1 card reader which worked just fine on the PC, and the Kingston reader also works on the PC (after i tried all the above ). I have read other forum discussions whee people say that the Kingston card reader works on their Mac By the way, I checked on two Apple Stores to try and get tech support and got "voice mail jail" which is most disappointing. I suspect this is Apple company policy forcing me to make an appointment (which I am willing to do, but for heavens sake, don't cut me off on the phone!)
