I would like to know if a single user can have 2 seperate address books on his computer at the same time? If so, how would one go about setting it up? I want to import it from my desktop to a laptop computer. Both are running Lion.
bought a new computer and when I sync iPhone to it my audio books did not move over. it is still on my old laptop but how do i get it on the new computer so i can sync it back to my phone.
I purchased three books and downloaded them onto my computer. I now want to read them on my computer not my iPhone and I do not have an iPad. I was told that an icon next to the books purchased indicates that it's for the ipad or iphone only. I had no idea that this was the case when I purchasd them.
1) can I return these?
2) If not, is there a way to read them on my computer that I may not be aware of - e.g. an app for the computer?Â
Could some teach me on how to take a copy of my Bookmarks from Safari, then be able to transfer that on my other Safari app while I'm logged in on my guest log in?
And also on how to take my iTune playlist to my other iTune app on my guest log in please..
I'm about to order the 2.93ghz 24" imac with radeon 4850 and I was just wondering what the fastest/easiest way to transfer all the data i have from my current pc would be.
I presently own a 5 yr. old iMac with OS 10.4. I will be buying a new iMac shortly and want to know the best way to transfer my files to the new computer.
I have a iMac 6,1 (24") and just upgraded to a new 21.5" iMac; with it I bought a thunderbolt cable without realizing that my old iMac has no Thunderbolt port. My question is, how do I transfer all data from my old to my new, and is there an adapter for the Thunderbolt cord to connect to my old computer?
I recently purchases an IMac and want to transfer my itunes playlists from my macbook to the Imac.I tried sharing but it only lists all my songs. I would like to also have the playlists. How can I to that?
I am transferring an app from another computer, can I also transfer files saved on the app? If so, how do I do it?bought an App on the App Store on a mac. I successfully transferred the App to a different mac via iChat, but the files I saved onto the App didn't transfer with it. If there a way I can do this?
My Daughters computer has just died she had her itunes account on it. I have signed her into itunes on my mac if I connect her ipod will it transfer all of her songs and apps or will she lose them?
I am about to receive a new Mac, which means that I will be selling the old one. I would just include the installer disks for the OS as part of the sale, but the last upgrade was downloaded and the proof of purchase is in the Cloud on the Apps Store. How do I transfer ownership of the OS with the computer?
I currently have a Macbook Air and an iMac, but looking to sell them and purchase a new Macbook Pro when they are released after the WWDC :-) along with a Thunderbolt Display screen.
I have just bought s 15" retina display MacBook Pro so am running 10.7.4.Â

How do I transfer files - in particular photos and iTunes stuff. Migration assistant does not work - it just spends hours looking for other computers. I could not get hold of a Thunderbolt/Firewire converter (none in stock). I have got a thunderbolt to ethernet converter but cannot seem to do anything with this.
I'm using Final Cut Pro X 10.1.3 and I can't find how to transfer my project. I want to do this because my laptop is slower than my Desktop iMac and I want to continue editing it on there. "Duplicate Project" no longer works the way it used to, and "Move Project" only moves it between libraries on the computer.
I purchased an audiobook on my office computer, but I use my home computer to sync with my iPhone. Now I can't download the book to my home computer without having to pay again AND I can't sync with the office computer without erasing all of the info and apps from my home computer. ITunes considers my home computer as the master library. I didn't know all of this and, quite frankly, don't understand why it has to be this way.
So it seems that after a few months our computers, yes even our macs, slow down a bit. I just purchased a new macbook pro and am wondering on the best route to take as I transfer files from my old macbook to the new pro. I've read about doing it from a TimeMachine backup as well as just using the migration assistant. But, will moving my files slow down my new computer and make it act like an "old computer" since it will have basically all of the old files?
So I currently have a late 2008 MacBook Pro. I may be getting a new iMac for Christmas. My question is, is there a way to basically transfer all of my files/programs/etc. to the new Mac without having to reinstall everything? The iMac will become my primary computer, and the MBP will become kind of a sitting on the couch/travel computer. This is the first time I will be upgrading Macs, as the MBP was my first non-PC computer.
I got to work yesterday and opened my iBook. Nothing. So I turned it on. Nothing. I checked the battery and it was dead. I let it charge all day it did not charge. I put a new battery in it today. Before I put the battery in it had 3 bars of life left. As soon as I put it in it went down to 1. It still won't power on. Any ideas? All of my info for work is on this computer. I am getting a Macbook soon so is there any way to transfer info from a non working computer?
