Oct 11, 2006I track them in iCal, figuring I can just print out a list of when I get them and for how long.
I have a calendar in iCal labeled "headaches"
I go to print, select list, tell it to start at june 2005 and continue through today. Wwhen I tell it to print, it prints out EVERY SINGLE DAY, not just the days that have headaches.

Nov 16, 2009I'm a bit confused here. I pay my phone bill online and recently started printing the receipts to the "pdf printer" on my mac so I can store them electronically. However, I cannot find the folder where the receipts are being printed to. Does anyone know the location of this standard folder in Snow Leopard?

Jun 28, 2014I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer!
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.

Nov 24, 2010I'm trying to print an Excel 2004 .xls spreadsheet file where I'm using to record attendance for the class I teach.I have my main Column A with Rows A-X and it shows up fine, I imagine because there is content in the boxes.
But I also have Columns B-L and rows A-X with nothing in their cells, but when I print it, they won't print.I need these blank because I'll check them off if the child in the first column attended the lesson. How do I make it so my many blank cells will print as well?

Dec 6, 2010I have had difficulty in attaching my HP Photosmart C5580 printer to my new MacBookPro (OSX 10.6) through my Netgear WGPS606 print server. After much searching I found previous posts here which advised me to add the Gutenprint driver 5.2.6 which I did. That finally DID successfully attach the printer through the server.
However, there is a lag of many seconds (sometimes minutes) between the SEND command and the starting of the printer. Is this the new normal that I need to expect or is there a fix?

Dec 27, 2010I'm new to Mac OS X, but have been working with Linux for almost 9 yrs now. I have set up a Linux box with CUPS 1.3.9. I can print from the server, and from other Linux stations to that remote server. However, I can't print from a client MacBook.
I set up CUPS on the client Mac via http://localhost:631 and created a printer associated with the remote queue / printer on Linux (the URL I use on OS X is http://mylinuxserver:631/printers/hpprinter and the driver is RAW).
I have no problems sending a test page from the CUPS web interface on Mac OS X to the Linux server -- the test page gets printed OK. However, I can't see the printer I just defined from other Mac OS X apps, and neither can I see it from the Add Printer Dialog on System Preferences (it's empty).
I tried creating the printer at the Add Printer dialog, but it would neither let me specify an HTTP URL (as far as I know, I had to use the IP icon on the toolbar) nor specify "RAW". So I tried creating a "dummy" printer in the Add Printer dialog, with a basic config, and then changing it from the CUPS web GUI. This didn't work either, since when I went back to the Add Printer dialog, the printer was gone.

Mar 1, 2010I'm using a MacBook, Mac OS 10.5.8. I've downloaded the driver for HP LaserJet m1319f MFP and the printer worked fine when I connect it directly to my MacBook (using USB connection).The problem is that printer is supposed to be connected to our office network users through a TP-Link Print Server (TL-PS110U). I've tried to use AppleTalk to connect to that print server but my MacBook only recognized that HP printer as a HP Fax machine and I can't print anything.

Jun 29, 2009i'm trying to print some stuff off using adobe and some parts are printing, but some aren't. I've had this problem before i would print of some formula sheets for my finance class and basically if it wasn't a letter it wouldn't print it off but now it's taking out a lot more.
in the first picture you can see how i went through and wrote the stuff in, wasn't that big of a deal.
second picture is one page from the file that printed out fine
third picture, the entire top part is supposed to have a paragraph on it.

Feb 17, 2009I have an iMac running Mac OS 10, version 10.5.6 It is about 3 months old. I have it hard wired to an ADSL Router and my HP 2510 All-in-One Printer is hard wired into the same Router. My Mac lists this printer in "Applications: HP all-in-one chooser." As soon as I click on my printer a window comes up that says "the HP all-in-one chooser quit unexpectedly." I have tried reinstalling the driver software from my disk and from the HP site. When I try to print anything, it will go to the printer queue and sit on the list there but it will not print it. Any guesses as to what I am doing wrong? Beside each document listed in the que it says "stopped", when I try to reprint a document it will open a new window that says "Operation could not be completed, client error not possible." What the hell does that mean? Oh yes, When I open my "Printers" folder I have this printer listed three times, could this be the conflict? How do I get rid of 'em?

Jun 27, 2010I have a 2006 Mac Pro 1,1. I use it for 95% Web Dev, and 4% print, and 1% hi-res grand format print. Now, I am working for a new company who has my focus on probably 80% hi-res print work, 10% grand format print, and 10% web. I currently am just using a C2Duo Macbook Pro, but am going to want a desktop, as the laptop just isn't cutting it. It's got 4 gigs of ram and a 7200rpm 500 gig drive, but I still get beachballs and spinners constantly. What is the setup for a Mac Pro for hi-res print? I am thinking the single CPU version would be fine, with a SSD system drive and then just various drives for files? Better to set up a hardware striped raid to run files off of? Also, for something like this 4 gigs of RAM in the laptop doesn't seem to cut it. Would this be an 8gig minimum type setup? I'm really just tired of beachballs and long render times when trying to manipulate large files in illustrator and photoshop. I don't know if the company will let me spend the money on a Mac Pro, so if not, I am guessing that an i7 27" imac would be the 2nd choice, albeit a huge downgrade from a properly setup Mac Pro, and then a Mac Mini next?

MacBook Pro :: OS X 10.7.5 Will Not Print
Sep 11, 2014My MB 10.7.5 will not print to with either one of my Epson printers, inkjet photo printer 4800, and all in one Workforce 545.
After I send it to the printer the printer window just idles saying that its "sending data to the printer", does the same with both printers. Ive let them idle for plenty of time.
I followed all the advise I read by resetting the printer drives, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted everything many times and still getting the same results.
I don't think it has anything to do with Epson. Should I upgrade to OS 8?

MacBook Pro :: Print To Windows PC?
Sep 1, 2010I have a Kodak ESP-3 connected via USB to my Desktop with Windows 7 on it. I've enabled sharing on my printer, and my roommates can print off my printer no problem at all. When I tried to connect my mac to the printer, I'm at a loss. One guide I found told me to go to Applications > Utilities > The printer option (I can't remember what its called). The printing option isn't listed under utilities, or I'm passing over it. I went to system preferences and selected the printer, but my Kodak isn't coming up. I've enabled sharing on my mac, and same thing. I don't expect my Mac and Win machine to play nice together, but I'm hoping that at the very least I'll be able to print from my mac with out having to keep constantly unplugging my printer from my desktop. My roommate just bought a new router a few weeks ago, but failed to get one capable of network printing, so picking up a new router is out of the question right now....

Oct 29, 2010Using Safari 5.0.2 and crashing constantly when trying to print a PDF file out of the browser. I am using the Schubert-it PDF Viewer to view and print. Sometimes it crashes when I merely click on the print icon on the website or after the PDF file opens up in a separate window and click the print button on the separate window. It has also crashed using different printers.
Could someone take a look at this crash report log and see if anything looks weird. This just started happening, so I am not sure what I did.I have it attached as a doc file since it was too long.
