Tried bringing up a 2 minute QuickTime Tutorial on Apple's site with my new iMac set up connecting to the Net with a Dial-Up Modem.
However, after the video very slowly loaded it would stop after the initial few seconds of a start-up.
Does this mean it is impossible to view Web videos using a Dial-Up Modem?
How is it possible to view such a video: [URL:.....] I installed flip4mac , no use mac os 10.5.8 firefox 3.5.3 anyone could see that video?

Two things: (1) I am unable to view YouTube videos, even those I posted previously and (2) videos friends email to me. Does this have anything to do with the recent malware affecting Macs? Do i need to update Java or disconnect it? Is this an Adobe Flash problem?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a good ol eMac with 1ghz processor, 1Gb RAM and Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11. I would like to watch youtube videos and just surf the web. But when i go to watch youtube videos they are all choppy and glichy. I dont watch them in HD.
Is there any way i can watch them like in a different player. It does not matter if they are not in HD i just want to be able to watch them smoothly. I have also installed flash player 10 and nothing has changed.

I am running Lion 10.7.3 on a early 2008 Intel based Mac Pro. I cannot play most internet videos. No error message with Safari. Firefox notification indicates Adobe Flash crash. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash over a dozen times. I have also reinstalled Lion. My other Macs (iMac and Mac Mini) have no issues. I recently upgraded my graphics card to a Nividia Geforce 8800 Ultra 768MB. I have no issue playing my own video materials be it home movies, DVDs, or downloaded videos. Could their be a conflict with the graphics card driver and Adobe Flash?

I can't view any videos on my MacBook Pro without Adobe Flash and it is not available through Apple App Store. I do a lot of banking on my computer and I've read that Adobe Flash has a lot of problems. I'm concerned it might affect the security of my computer. Am I the only one concerned about this?

(ex: Working with Core Data, Implementing Push Notification). Certain videos appear to download but when I try to play them, the download starts again. I have "downloaded" the same video 5 or 6 times, and it still won't play.
Other iTunes video downloads from iOS Development Resources work without any problems (ex: Ingredients of Great Apps).
Specifically: if I am in iTunes, and navigate to iTunes U, then select the iOS Development Videos category, I see a list of all the videos that are available. If I click the little "Get" button for many of the videos in the list, the download process seems to work perfectly (I see the progress of the download in the header section, and it all looks normal). However, as soon as the download is complete, the "Get" button reappears and the video listing looks just like all the other videos that have not yet been downloaded. If I attempt to play the video (select it, and click the Play button) the download starts all over again. I have found one video that actually downloaded, and can be played.
Is there a setting that controls this behavior? I haven't been able to find it.

I like to use Faces versus Names because I seem to be able to crank through it much quicker.
My flow:
1) I click a project name that has not already had faces assigned
2) I click the faces icon. Then I see the "main" part of the screen with the Faces instructions, and the section under that has the faces that need to be named. So I start naming them. There are 100s in this project.
3) Then I come across a face I only "kind of" recognize. I don't know if they are in the background in a crowd, of the focus of the photo. I need to understand the images composition so I can skip them or figure out their name. I would like to quickly just get a peek at the whole photo.
4) So I switch to the Viewer and it takes me to the first photo in that project. That's no good.
5) When I switch back to Face I also have to scroll to get back to that face.
Is there a better way to quickly see the whole photo without breaking up my workflow?

A couple days ago my mac book pro (with snow leopard) stopped allowing me to play videos. An embedded video in an article comes up as all black or missing altogether (a large white space in the article). If I go to YouTube, the "screen" is black.

Rented 3 movies last night from the iTunes store. Download began and ended just fine. When I tried to view one of the movies, quicktime opened with this message: "QuickTime Player is not authorized to play “Clara's Heart.m4v”. In order to play this content, please open it with iTunes" So, I tried to open with iTunes, and discovered that I couldn't.

I'm having trouble view YouTube videos. When I try to view a video, it tells me my flash player isn't up to date. But when I download the latest player from the link they provide(which it tells me is successful), I still can't view the video.
Anybody have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
I am running video to a 40" RCA 1080P television via a HDMI to DVI cable from my Macbook Pro. The laptop has a GeForce 8600M GT GPU and has the capability to run 1080P. However, when I port a video (been trying with DVD Player) the image becomes pretty distorted. Is this a limitation of my laptops GPU or something else?
