View 4 RepliesI'm trying to figure out a solution to this problem. This popup continually arises periodically while I use the calendar app. I used to be subscribed to a calendar from google that I no longer am a part of, so I thought maybe that was a part of the issue I am trying to completely get rid of google calendar from my Mac's calendar so that these syncing issues no longer arise, since I do not utilize the google calendar.

When I hide a Google calendar from the calendar list online, the calendar continues to show up on Mac OS X Mavericks Calendar. How can I get that calendar to not show up in Apple's Calendar without completely deleting it from my Google account?
View 10 Replies View RelatedFinally updated to LION and I'm trying to incorporate iCloud and it's services. At the moment, I'm attempting to use iCal across the board. I have found it incredibly easy to subscribe to a family members iCloud calendar on my iPhone but incredibly difficult to do the same from my Macbook Pro. The family member uses an iPad and syncs this calendar to iCloud. How do I access this calendar from my Macbook?
This is just a little rant but it really feels like Google makes stuff like this easier to do on my Apple products that Apple does..

I was attempting to fix a 210 error on my 10.5.8 OSX Server Wiki Calendar. I highlighted my 58 user accounts in Workgroup manager and selected Enable calendaring and the machine hung up. I had to force quit the Workgroup Manager and restarted the machine.I then tried to log into my administartor account and was unable to. We logged into another account and had to create a new admin account where I noticed the admin account that was created on install had been changed somehow to Admin, Sharing Only.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my calendar I get an error message "Server Responded with an Error - Access to account "Gmail" is not permitted". This is an old account which I don;t use. I have deleted the account in the system preferences, but the error message keeps appearing in calendar and I cannot clear it. At the moment i can't use calendar or access calendar preferences to see that the account has been deleted. Yet another error which has cropped up since Yosemite.

When I enter an event in calendar, I name it and put the time right after the name. It then enters the time in the detail box that can be opened up regarding the event. What I want to do, however, is show the time in the calendar, right after the name, without opening up the detail box. If I open up the detail box and edit the name by adding the time, it will stay there. Is there a way for me to avoid this extra step and have the time show up right after the event name when I create the event?

running Mavericks w/ Thunderbird for email and Calendar for appointments. (I tried Apple Mail and it was nothing but problems). I work in a Windows/Outlook environment. My coworkers schedule a lot of meetings using Outlook Calendar...and I no longer can receive these since I switched to Mac. (I get the email, but the appointment does not show up.)
Is there any way to create compatability?
I suppose I could try Outlook for Mac, but the user community seems to indicate that this program has a lot of issues.

Every few months I have an issue with iCal. One or more of my calendars COMPLETELY disappear. I have an iPhone with a list of calendars on the phone and on iCloud. The iCal application on my laptop only has iCloud. Calendars seem to magically vanish from iCloud while they remain on my phone. It's driving me crazy!!! I'm about to look for a different calendar app to use. I need my MacBook Pro to sync with my iPhone.

I have my xbox 360 connected to my macbook through ethernet. On my mac i have internet connection sharing enabled from airport to ethernet. Everything works fine apart from the xbox saying I have a strict NAT.
I made sure the ports were all configured to work with my router, and UPnP is defiantly enabled on my router. I even tested to see if it was something to do with my firewalls, but even with them turned off, I still get this NAT error
When I add a new entry to my mac calendar it automatically sets 2 reminders, 30min before via notification and 30min before via mail. I don't want these settings, so every time I add a new entry I have to manually delete both reminders. That is really annoying if you create 20+ entries every day...
I couldn't find any settings about new entries?
How do I get the Calendar to repeat an event just one day a week? It always wants to repeat across all days and all weeks, not just the one day each week I want.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my four main colleagues' google calendars (and my own google calendar) in my Calendar app in OSX Mavericks. Whenever anyone sends all four of us an invite to a meeting, I get four badge counts and alerts for the four calendar accounts that I have set up to view. Is there a way to stop this and only get alerts for a primary google calendar in the mac calendar app?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I upgraded to Mavericks, my once slick and awesome appointment system has been hobbled due to the new calendar integration.... I create a new event, and try to type "conf call" into the location and I have to wait about 4 minutes whilst maps goes through its entire database of locations desperately trying to find something that matches for each and every single letter that I type. Now when I want to create a new conference call in my calendar, I type "conf call" and go get a refill on my filter coffee while I wait for it to fail and timeout looking for an address that doesn't exist.
I'm sure the feature is awesome for people that create the occasional meeting, and always have the time to wait for neat-o address magic to happen, but I'd just like to turn it off. The paperclip was a bad idea when MS did it in Office all those years ago, let's not revisit.
Trying to set up calendar in Mavericks 10.9.3. The defaults are Blue = Home, Green = Work, Purple = Holidays and Grey = Birthdays.. until you uncheck some and they disappear.
all up and adding them ourselves. But when adding my own groups, I'd like them in different colors to make them stand out. However, they're all showing up as grey. I can't seem to find anywhere where I can set up my own colors. I wish Apple weren't getting so controlling. I know many of you want everything to synch up but........not everyone uses the calendar for work or even wants to sync it with anything else.
The Calendar app used to be simple and easy and you could set it up however you wanted. Doesn't appear so now and very group the same grey color, isn't very useful! I'd get rid of "Home" too but it's the only thing that isn't grey besides Holidays-- since I eliminated "Work". I don't know what "Home" is. Since "Holiday" is purple, I want "Medical Appts." in Red. I want other things in other colors.
I have mails with an invitation for a meeting, coming from ms outlook, in format .ics.
When I double click on it, i do not see it in my calendar - neither to accept or refuse.
(I once answered a question, sth like - isdbox need access to .. - not 100%sure about the correct question, i answered "no", but i think it should have been "yes")
Since then i can not see invitations anymore coming from an .ics file.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have a domain that we use for email (let's call it example.com). The domain is managed through Go Daddy. I spoke with Go Daddy tech support about how to add a new Mac Calendar account that is tied to example.com, so that Calendar invites come from email@example.com. She pointed me to the DNS CNAME records, and said this is where I would add a CNAME record for the Calendar account, however she didn't know what the record should be or how to set it up (i.e., "but this is where you would add the info.") She indicated that I should just "Google it", which I did.
I specifically creating a new "CNAME (Alias)" DNS record. When I log into Go Daddy's "Domain Details" portal, and then select the "DNS Zone File" tab, I can see all of the Zone Files (i.e., A(Host), AAAA(iPV6 Host), CNAME(Alias), etc). Looking at the CNAME records, I can see that there are three CNAME records (reporting as Host, Points To and TTL).
1. email, email.secureserver.net, 1 hour
2. ftp, @, 1 hour
3. www, @, 1 hour
The Go Daddy gal said that I needed to add a new CNAME record for calendar that points to the correct ____. When I add a new calendar DNS record, what should the "Host" and "Points To" fields be (TTL is just the time to live, so I'll just leave that as 1 hour)?
Also, when I then go into Mac's Calendar and add an account, will I just use my email@example.com and password to create the account, or is that another trick?

there is anyway to modify the appearance of Calendar and Contacts in OS 10.9. Any app that modifies the appearance of either of these apps? I tried the trial version of Busy Cal but it preserves the look that I find so displeasing in OS 10.9's calendar. I was happy with earlier iterations of these apps, but now they seem glaring and ugly - - so much so that I am thinking of returning to OS 10.8.5. In general, I have found no significant improvements in OS 10.9.4 - - in regards to my work at least - - and somewhat less stability.

Mavericks OSX 10.9.3 (13D65) Calendar question:
Items in my calendar have the correct information (in info) and show up correctly when looking at the Today calendar view. However, when looking at the monthly view, an item dated July 20, 2014 looks as though it is set to occur on July 30, 2014 (see below).
Enlarging the monthly calendar view does not work. Is there anything that will?

How can I block it?

For some reason probably the result of mistakes in synching, I have multiple entries of dates mostly birthdays showing in my iPad and MacMini. I can delete then one at a time, but with 156 repeats in one case, it becomes tedious. Where can I find the fields to delete the extra dates?

Installed Mavericks yesterday over Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and have had a host of problems that have paralysed my computer use. The most irritating problem has been that I use the glass chime for my calendar alert. Well, it won't stop ringing--it's like a button's depressed and stuck in that position. It renders the audio unusable now, which means no VOIP calling or audio of any kind as I'm forced to keep it on mute. My mouse is fluttering all over the place.
