I'm trying to download some videos from YouTube to my mac for me to edit into a video using iMovie or Premiere Elements (preferably iMovie). On my old pc I had a program which downloaded these but if there is a free/simple way to do this and if I have to pay, which program is best value?Â
View 4 RepliesRecently I started have this issue on Youtube where I'm on a vid page and when I try to back out for some reason safari starts downloading the vid in mp4 format! Sometimes so fast I cannot stop it! Also when I just click on a vid thumbnail this will sometimes happen.

Heres the thing ive been using Click to Flash for a while now and have been downloading some videos from youtube as the program allows you to do on safariBut now i noticed that with the new Youtube Layout whenever i click to download a video a new video pops up with the click to flash player just playing the video.I checked for updates my software is up to date i tried reinstalling it and still nothing.Can anyone tell me if they are experiencing the same thing and how can i fix this?

Well I didnt' read the fine print and BAZINGA! I noticed that it comes without a video card.
So For video editing, watching hulu and youtube and netflix What do you guys recommend.

I can go to YouTube and watch a video, but when someone posts a link, I am unable to make it play. I'll get a site with a black rectangle where the video is supposed to be. Happens on links from tweets too. Safari and Firefox both. I tried the Flash uninstall/reinstall/disc permission/restart routine twice.

I'm trying to download the BK Burger Shots commercial so that I can take it into final cut or imovie and make some additions to it for fun. I can only find it on youtube (in awful quality) and on a site called Adland - that one is better quality, but it only plays embedded into the site. Is there anyway I can take this video from the site to my hard drive? Or does anyone know a good site that may have this video available for download?
