OS X Mavericks :: Share Button On IMovie Not Working
Aug 22, 2014
I have the version of iMovie that comes with OSX Maverick(10.0.3) and I've created the movie I want and everything, but when I go to hit share it won't even let me click on it. I've tried going to support but all it tells me to do to export is to click share and obviously that's not working.
I just upgraded Safari to 5.1.4 running an iMac on 10.7.3, now the share button on youtube doesn't function. It's ok on Firefox, looks like I need to abandon Safari.
Is it possible to share an iMovie library like you can an iPhoto library? If so how? I'd like to be able watch the videos i have saved on my imac and view them on my macair.
When I am in the office connected via the local LAN the share screen button in Finder is displayed. When I am at home anc connected via broadband I can still see the server and shares but I have no share screen button. Is there a preference that needs to be set somewhere to enable the remote share screen or is it more likely to be a firewall issue with a blocked port?
I have made a fairly large Imovie with .jpeg, .mov and .mp4 . When I go to share with idvd or finalize, imovie keeps crashing. I am desparate to resolve, b/c I have to get this dvd sent out for duplication asap. below is the log. I have over 200G of memory? Here is my crash logÂ

I created a movie project for school, it is 3 minutes long. When I press the watch full screen the screen turns black and the mouse turns to a rainbow circle and then the application itself shuts off and asks me to reopen it. The same thing happens when i try to share the movie into itunes
So i finished my first ten-minute long short film, i'm really proud of it. I wanted to share the whole thing in 1080p HD and then import it into after effects for some finishing touches. I did sharing < media sharing < 1080p hd.
1. Where did my movie go? it doesn't show up in iMovie anymore, and I found a big file over 1GB which appears to be my movie (but no way is it in 1080p, and I filmed with a sony HDR xr520v). I cant put that back into iMovie nor after effects.
2. Can I import this file into after effects cs4 and then re-export it in an equal quality?
I have a USB printer connected to an iMac running 10.9.4. Printer sharing is turned on.I also have a MacBook Air, running 10.9.4. It does not see the printer.Â
All the instructions from Apple say I can share printers with "other Macs on the same network". I guess the MBA isn't "on the same network" as the iMac. How do I get them "on the same network" so the MacBook Air can see and print to the iMac's printer?

My Macbook Was On And Working And I Tried To Hit The Power Button To Turn The Macbook Off And It Would Not Work....so I Shut It Down Using Computer Shut Down Under The Apple ....now It Will Not Turn Back On......it Has To Be The Power Button Itself....is There Any Where I Could Buy A Replacement Power Button? And Is There Any Other Way To Get It To Turn On Without Using The Power Button?
I don't know if this is normal. However I have the mid-2009 uMBP, and the eject button on my keyboard doesn't eject the DVD or the eject an external device, even if i select the item on my desktop first.
Trying to update to Yosemite but the Get button is not responding. It stays grey and I don't get the green Install App.I'm trying to update from the last version of Snow Leopard.
After stumbling across a few threads talking about not being able to share an ethernet connection over wifi in Snow Leopard and I'm trying to figure out if this is isolated or just a glitch in Snow Leopard. Does anyone have this working?
For example my laptop hooks to ethernet, and I usually share my internet connection from my laptop to my iPhone via wifi (long story but its the only solution I have since iPhone has no ethernet port).
I need to make sure this is possible in snow leopard before my snow leopard equipped laptop comes.
Just bought my MBA about a month ago. Recently it started doing something weird, mostly on the dock icons.
Sometimes when I go to click on an icon, it doesn't do anything, regardless of whether I am clicking, double clicking, or pushing the button below the trackpad. I end up having to move the cursor off of the icon and back on once or twice before it will let me click.
Ok. so my MBP was working 2 days ago and I went to Fry's to replace the HD with a 640GB model thinking larger storage - win. Replaced in and the orange ribbon cable got disconnected between the keyboard and the logic board. Went frantic and after a visit to the Apple Genius, they plugged it back and thought i was fine. Nope, and now the unit won't turn on. Plugged it in and got the green light and battery charges, but the MBP won't power on. I made sure the HD was plugged in securely, the orange ribbon connected fine, and the power button cable was secure. The drive worked fine as I did a superduper transfer of the old data to the new drive the night before the crisis and it worked fine.
Yesterday I backed up the library on my mac (running 10.4.11) and then discovered that the reply button does not work on the email, also the reply all and send button (forward button works, but then cant send). I read a thread on your site in 2005 and tried to follow the instructions, deleting the ps files relating to email and retyping in the server and password information but no good. In fact I was unclear exactly what the guy did to solve it. I should say that I can create a new account on the mac and the email works fine, so it might be some problem with the mail boxes but that is a guess.
This is on my ibook G$. I am assuming its not a keyboarD problem if it works in caps moDe anD also the retailers that solD it too me aDDeD my email to the aDDress book in lower case which contains(yes you guesseD it) a D.
In Mac Safari 5.0.6 the fullscreen button has stopped working for some YouTube videos (which it has previously worked for). I click the button and nothing happens... as if it wasn't even clicked. This only happens on some videos though... not all of them. And the ones that do not work in Safari do work in Firefox.

After 1.5 years of use, my hard drive suddenly failed. This was later confirmed by Apple Genius Bar. So I purchase a new SSD from OWC which was instructed to be compatible with my laptop model (MBP 13" early 2011). It arrived today and I did the installation carefully and successfully. However, after putting the back panel back in place I was unable to power up my laptop.
It was as if the power button is not working. Then I opened up the back panel one more time to realise that every time I click the power button (turn on), the fan started running, this can only be stopped by pressing the power button and held it (turn off). I tried placing my old hard drive and it doesn't work as well. I tried reset the SMC by holding power-shift-option but same result.
my enter button won't work as I'm trying to login. I don't have a password so normally I'd just press the enter button and login right away. But yesterday, I tried pressing enter and nothing happens. I'm certain that the enter key isn't malfunctioning because it's a brand new computer.
When i hit the red x button on mac, it actually quits the application and doesn't restore any work i was doing, be it apps like pages and neither does it restore my last opened sessions on safari. However when i press command q, it should in normal cases close the application, however when i do that now it restores my previously active sessions.Â
In simple words both functions are working opposite to each other:Â
Red x- should merely 'minimise' the app and should restore previous active sessions but is not
Command w- should close the app but is instead restoring previous sessions
I had an end user create a shared folder on a new server. He did this incorrectly, and I had to fix the sharing permissions, folder location, etc. When I moved the shared folder, it seemed to have caused an issue with the list of available shares, and when connecting to the shared folder it now is appended with a -1 (SHARE-1). I believe this is because the preference file for the shared folders still has the legacy folder listed or there is a legacy cache somewhere that I can't find.Â
I've cleared DNS cache, used Onyx to clear out all other caches, I've removed AFPconfig and afp files in etc, I've removed the share and restarted the server and set up the share again, manually unloaded and relaunched com.apple.applefileshare.plist. Probably even more stuff I've done but can't remember. I can't get rid of that pesky -1 on the end of the share name.Â
This week I bought mij first macbook pro. so I new in osx. I have a ubuntu 14.04 server running with samba 4.1.6. From a Windows or linux computer is can acces the shares just fine.
When i try to acces the share from my macbook i can open the share but when I try to open an folder with allot of files/folders the is empty in finder, i thought first it was a performance issue so I've waited for 30 minutes but still empty. smaller Folders ik can open in finder.
In console there his no error on the server the logfile has also no error...
In OSX 10.9.2 [mavericks]Â when I shrink a document [yellow button] where it goes nor how to retrieve it. Sometimes they stay for a while in 'application windows' but then soon disappear. Does they are visible somewhere as thumbnails and can be retrieved as I used to be able to do in snow Leopard?
