I'm having a problem with my msn. Every time I signed in, my account name changed. I kept getting the same friend request every time I signed in as well, they're from asistan-x@hotmail.com, care@care.com, and HacKer@adminHacker.Com. At first I had only the hacker one sendin requests but now there are three and it's annoying.
I have been having somewhat sketchy network problems since upgrading to Snow Leopard the biggest one is that large updates to Time Machine fail with a network error. So I have been doing some digging and I noticed on my stats at OpenDNS that since installing Snow Leopard the requests to time.apple.com have gone from 175/day (already more than necessary) to 1745/day. Also the requests made by OpenDNS updater to myip.dnsomatic.com have gone from 36/day to 1462/day.
I've sent a meeting request from my Mac's iCalendar to a friends Outlook 2007. They have received the email, but when opening it up, it says click the link below to accept the meeting but there is no link. Instead there is an iCal file attached to the email, with buttons to accept or reject the meeting, however they are grayed out and cannot be selected.
My messenger started to do some pretty stupid things. A morning when I logged in, all my contact suddenly were blocked, but I fixed it. But now, when I log in, I get requests from all my contacts, who already are on my contact-list, and I get those requests every time I log in. And also when I then write to one of my contacts, they see me as offline.
I just signed into my msn on my Macbook today to find all my messenger contacts blocked, and whenever I tried to unblock them it didn't do anything.
Also when I signed on, almost all the contacts I had showed up like new contact requests, where I had the option to add them or ignore the request. When I used my windows PC with Windows Live, everything was normal and no contacts were blocked.
I am using Messenger:mac version 7.0.2 (090123) as far as I know, that is the most recent version.
I have the software firewall on and in stealth mode; the online modem Firewall Setting must be at "Minimum Security (Low)" because if I use "Medium" or "High" my e-mail message center in Safari Version 5.1.5 (6534.55.3) times out. I ran GRC's Shields Up and my computer failed the "Ping reply" test. Here's the result:
Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) — Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since "Ping" is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation.
Mail goes through periods where it constantly requests my password. At times it appears that the server accepts the password but comes back later in the day and asks again. Other times it appears not to accept my password and continually requests the password.
Everytime I want to copy, move or trash a file the system asks for the administrator password. I am trying to organize my files for use on my iPad. There are over a hundred files involved. I do not want to enter a password everytime I want to move a file to a new folder. How do I stop the system from constantly asking for a password?

My OS software updater continual requests that I install HP Printer Sofware Update 2.9. I install it and there is no warning of failure. The next time the updater checks it reports the software needs to be installed. How can I correct this problem?
Our IT department at our ISD tells us we cannot upgrade to the Maveriks OS. It is not compatible with the rest of our software. I get a pop up very frequently to the point of being obnoxious for updating to the new OS. How can I turn off the update pop up?
MAC iOS 10.8.5
Have looked under preferences and on the update screen.
I am thinking of using paypal for taking payments. I signed up to their business account (using my business email) then started looking at all available options, I sent my private email a few 'payment requests' and invoices etc, just to see how everything workedWell I was obviously experimenting too much as when I try and enter paypal now I can the following Bad RequestYour browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
We keep getting requests to upgrade our Trusteer Rapport program. It says this protects against phishing attacks and provides credit card theft protection.
I've just tried running the security test on the Shields Up! site, and I note that even though my firewall is in stealth mode (and Shields Up! reported that all the ports it probed were stealthed), it failed the test because it replied to an ICMP ping request - and yet the Snow Leopard firewall specifically states that when it's in stealth mode, it won't respond to such requests.
Both our Macs have started demanding we enter the login keychain on various functions, particularly including Mail and the Address Book. Both have recently been upgraded to Mavericks, but I'm not sure that's what the issue is. It seems to date back more to when iCloud was installed.
