I just bought a brand new MacBook Pro 2011 and I've downloade adobe flash, java, silverlight EVERYTHING i know of and I cannt watch Facebook videos

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)
I have the latest MacBook Pro (see sig) and for some reason when i try to record a video on someones facebook wall or in a message, the camera will turn on for a second then turn off and facebook says "look for camera again" and it never works. When i right click on the video box and go to flash settings, its set to USB for webcam and when i double click to check it in settings it'll show me (meaning the camera is working from the usb setting), but when i go back to the facebook video box my camera will never turn on. anyone have a fix for this? All other macs i've used have done this just fine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm able to watch videos on youtube and other webpages, just not anything on facebook. Not even ones that i have submitted myself. I've already wiped out my whole harddrive and reinstalled it, repaired any disk utilities, disk permissions, made sure i've got the newest version of adobe, and made sure that all of my software is updated. I just don't know what else it could be. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.8, Snow Leopard. Also, whenever i click on the video to play, it just appears as a small black box.Ps: I'm using Safari and would like to continue to use it.

Videos ONLY on Facebook, will not play on my Macbook Pro. After updating my OS X to Maverick 10.9.4 I started having this problem. Here's is what I have done and NONE of it worked.Â
-I tried using Firefox, safari and Chrome. Did not work on any of them.
-My Flash is up to date
-I CAN play videos on Youtube. The problem is ONLY on facebook. Â
Just to see if it was something with my account and not my computer I logged into my FB on my ipad and the videos will play fine. So it is something with my Macbook Pro.Â

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a very hard time downloading youtube videos.
I have an app that will take out the video and turn the audio into mp3 which works perfectly
but I do not have an app that will download the video to view it at a later time.
I used to use Jdownloader , but downloading stops with a message saying "Aborted" , and sometimes when it is downloaded , the video will be corrupted with a blackout.
I have this video on youtube and i would like to convert it on mp3. How can i do that?
View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore I ask my question I must state that I know very little about computers. Is there a way to download videos from Youtube that would be fairly simple?
I'm uploading videos i've shot with my camera, edited and uploaded to YouTube in HD. I do plan on making a backup with an external HD but don't have access to it till I go back home in a few months, so was wondering how can I download my own videos from YouTube, preferably in HD? Currently i've been using the programs "iSky Free Video Downloader" & "Tooble."
But I'm almost certain they don't download in HD.
Since I upgraded to Lion 10.7.3, the method I was using to download videos, from YouTube and other internet sites, no longer works. This method (with Snow Leopard) involved going to the Window menu, clicking on Activity, and finding the video file in a list, and double clicking it. Usually the video would still be downloading and would be a certain number of MB in a long list of files of various KB sizes. Now, there is no downloadable file listed (in Activity) for the video I'm watching. Is there a way to download the video without purchasing additional software?

So I am trying to download a video, which is online only and I was wondering if there is any way to do that? I have a slow internet and it would be nice to have it on my computer so I can watch it whenever i want it. Here is the link, for other videos you have to pay so I am guessing they disabled any sort of ways that let people to download them but maybe there is a software that would let me download this videos. Does anyone know of such things?

View 8 Replies View Relateda colleague of mine has an older MacBook with Mac OS X 10.4.11 and Safari 4.x. She can use the Activity window in Safari to download a YouTube video, but after the download is finished (20MB or 6MB or ...), the downloaded file is called "videoplayback", without the .flv suffix. Even if she appends the .flv suffix, she can't play them back in VLC or SWF + FLV Player.
It's no biggie, as she can use KeepVid, but I was just curious, why it is that way. Does anyone know?
I'm fed up with all the good videos on a certain adult website disappearing after a couple of days. How can I download and save them to my MBP?

I have noticed that it is taking too long to download YouTube videos. I have tried a few things: emptied cache, reset Safari, downloaded OnyX and cleaned everything up I could. I also reset my wireless router, but those have not worked. I have also updated Adobe FlashPlayer, Flip4Mac, and checked for new updates from Apple. With all of that, nothing has seemed to work. Not sure what to do next.
