every wallpaper i choose suddenly disappears and the desktop turns BLUE... The original wich cames with the notebook or some wallpapers that i've downloaded, it's the same, suddenly disappears?

I'm not sure why but whenever I go onto the internet, my wallpaper disappears and it turns blue. If I want to restore it I have to click on a different wallpaper in system preferences then click back to the one I want. Any ideas?

OK....breath....now the last nice pic from the 50% of my family vacation is on my wallpaper. OK....how do I save my wallpaper to a new image ?
In other words, the image should no longer exist because I deleted it....but its on my desktop wallpaper....I need that image !!!! Any way I can save it ????
The first picture is my desktop. I currently have my wallpaper set up to change every 10 min. There are 3 pictures that rotate and as you see in the first picture, they are merging together...The second picture just shows some weird 5h*t. This happens almost every where. It happens a lot in YouTube. I have a MacBook pro i7 (2010). It's only 1 month old and this has been happening for like 2 weeks but it does not happen everyday. More like every 2-3 days. I have to restart my computer to fix.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recall that, in Leopard, you could use TinkerTool in order to set a screensaver as your wallpaper. In Snow Leopard, however, it seems as if that option has disappeared. I have tried to use Wallsaver, but moving windows around or doing something dynamic on your computer causes the screensaver to flash or distort. Does anyone know of a good way to set a screensaver as your background without any interruptions? I don't care if the utility or application allows you to select a different screensaver than the one in System Preferences.

I'm having a problem where my Macbook Pro keeps resetting back to the default 'space' wallpaper everytime it boots up. When I go into the settings and click on 'Desktop & Screensaver', it changes back to the wallpaper I originally set before shutting the Macbook down, without me clicking anything else.
I've read in several places that a file needs to be deleted, something like (top of my head) 'com.apple.desktop.---' in the library folder. However, that file doesn't exist or at least I can't locate it.

I have an aluminum Macbook Unibody 13" that I just picked up off craigslist and was wondering if anyone new what I can expand the memory to. It has 2 GB Ram in it right now, and it is the 2.4 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 250 GB Hard Drive. Also I am trying to download apple wallpapers for it, but when I set it as my wallpaper it doesn't look as clear on my background as it does in the preview, even when I copy and set the one with higher resolution. I must be doing something wrong, if you don't mind could someone take me through the steps of how to properly download and apply wallpapers, as your background?

I am using macbook pro. I changed my wallpaper to the ones provided by apple in system preferences but after a few mins my screen changes to blue while I am still using it, also when I turn it on after sleep same thing happens its blue! I've Google to no end and the bottom line turns out to be reformat. I've tried editing the symbolic link, renaming the wallpaper in the system folder, etc. but upon reboot no matter what wallpaper I change it to, it reverts to just plain blue. The last thing I did on it before this problem occured was full screen iTunes and set my own wallpaper from within safari (right click Use as desktop Picture). The full screen iTunes bit may be the culprit upon a google result I found. Does anyone know a definiative solution to this issue? Just google '10.7.4 wallpaper' to see the countless others with this issue.

I have noticed another weird MBP 2010 bug. I have the 15" i5. The cursor disappears for a few minutes sometimes. I haven't noticed what card is on and I've been doing just random stuff. I mouse around and click around and after a few minutes it comes back. The keyboard responds normally. Everything else is normal. The cursor just completely takes a vacation for a few minutes. The really weird thing is, is I've seen this several times in Windows XP SP3 in BootCamp as well! Maybe it's the crap NVIDIA driver.

It still works because things are hilighted on the screen and I can still click things when i move the trackpad around with my finger, there is just no pointer on the screen. The dock on my Mac only appears when I click on it. I'm pretty sure I just accidentally pressed a keyboard shortcut, but I don't know how to reverse it.
I already tried Command+Option+D, but that's not the problem (it's not that my mouse has to hover over where the dock should be - I physically have to click in that space. As soon as I click on another application, the dock disappears again).

I have a Macbook Pro, the cursor is going out and turning into a weird flashing slashed/dotted black line on my screen everytime I connect my Macbook to my TV with the mini display port adapter connected to a VGA cable. I use it to watch movies on my TV through my mac. I haven't had any problems at all with it, I was actually watching something today before it stopped working.
I've already made sure cables are plugged in properly, and displays are mirrored. The cursor is usable-- it can still click on things...I just can't see it.

I'm using a MacBook Pro (Penryn) running Leopard. Every time I try and change my wallpaper in system preferences, it crashes and asks me if I'd like to report it to Apple. It eventually gave me the "would you like to reset settings and relaunch" dialogue. Still continuously crashes. I just want to change my damn wallpaper and this is annoying me to no end.

A few days ago, the messenger just "hangs." I just get that little circle and I can no longer view my webcame at the bottom of my screen. My BF says he gets my transmission from the webcam just fine as the messenger menu at the top still works. But it bugs me I can't see the image he sees. Also when I go to photobooth with the messenger on, the camera does not work. There is a camera icon with a line across it. When I sign out of the messenger, the still camera works just fine.

The only fix I've found is reboot, then the list reappears, but only for a while then the wifi networks disappear again.
Could this be the Airport card needs replacing or something else? I'm guessing it is, but need to know if it could be something else first. Would a new airport card fix it?
I have a brand new macbook pro which doesn't experience this problem and works perfectly, so I guess it's not the router or Airport Extreme that I use.
