On some days I get the message 'cannot send message using the server mobileme' and 'sending the message content to the server failed'. On other days, mail works fine - (today is not a good mail day). Is there some setting that I need to change? I have been through the books, and as far as I can tell, it is all in order. Why am I getting this message and why can't I send my mail?
View 1 RepliesOccasionally when trying to send mail I recieve the 'Cannot Send Message Using the server' message. I click 'connection doctor' and it always confirms that everything is fine. If I then try to send the email again it will send it straight away, but if I try to send another in 10 minutes time, then I'll probably have to go through the same procedure again. I've never been unable to send mail, but having to launch connection doctor most of the time gets tiresome. I've been unable to trouble-shoot as its occurence appears to be random.

I got on to virgin who excessed my Mac remotely and could not find anything.The same on my other Mac running 10.6 and a mate up the road also running 10.6
Okay I have looked around and the only thing I can find to fixes this is get another mail client. Looks like it's another Apple thing

I have 2 mail accounts setup in Mail. They are on separate domains I host on my server. One account works great, the other gives this error message every time I try to send. "Sending the message content to the server failed." It offeres me to use a different outgoing mail server.I am on latest Lion 10.7.3. mail version os 5.2 (latest). I connect through Airport Extreme.I Googled the problem and searched everywhere. I also tried deleting and setting up the account. I checked all my settings (multiple times). There is nothing to fix in settings. The Connection doctor does not see any problems.
Here is the really frustrating part: Messages actually get sent. The recipeint always receives them. If I try again with the same server, I get the same error message and again message gets sent. But to Mail it is still unsent and sits in Outbox prompting to send.I also tried the MTU trick. No luck. I should also say that I have seen this problem before on other accounts. I've also seen it come and go. It happened on Snow Leoprad and Leopard too.

Having some mail issues lately with my gmail account Imap set up. I can receive mail but when trying to send mail it pops up with the following: "Can not send message using the server [URL]" I tried deleting the gmail account on my iMac and setting it up again. in the set up It gives me two choices as an outgoing server: [URL] and just Gmail.If I choose Gmail I can send the messages, but is this secure? I've always used [URL] for outgoing without any problems.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the last few weeks when I open iphoto on my iMac (OS 10.7.3) I get the following error message, "MobileMe didn't recognize the stored password for (my name)'s MobileMe account". As far as I can remember, I never had a MobileMe account, but I did put in the password I use for my Apple account and it rejected it. I created a brand new password, and it still wouldn't recognize it. I don't care about MobileMe and I have other Cloud accounts, so I just want to get rid of this annoying error message. Where do I go to stop this message for good? I have looked everywhere I could think of. I also checked on my iPad. My contacts and calendars are successfully synching.

I have migrated on both my MacPro and MBP to iCloud, I assume my iPhone has too. So every now and again this message pops up (on Mac Pro) " You entered an invalid MobileMe member name or password. Verify your MobileMe member name and password in MobileMe System Preferences." click [OK] a few times and it goes away for a while... click [open mobileMe preferences] and get message "Your MobileMe account has been upgraded (!!) to iCloud"

I just need to know how to upload folders of images to iCloud and send links to clients from my iphone when on location as was simple with MobileMe. I'm a professional photographer so it needs to be as easy as it was under Mobile Me. I've looked at several alternatives but they don't seem to give the same facilities of uploading folders from the Mac then sending the link from the iphone.

I am getting an error on my iMac (running SL) that says: "You entered an invalid MobileMe member name or password. Verify your MobileMe member name and password in MobileMe System Preferences." Now, the thing is, I don't not have (nor have I ever) had a MobileMe account. This error only starting popping up after upgrading to Snow Leopard. It only gives me the option of clicking OK and pops up about every half hour or so.
I've check the MobileMe preferences and there is nothing entered in the username or password slot. I called AppleCare and they were not really familiar with the error either but gave me two options. They asked me to
(1) Reset my keychain to defaults and if that didn't work then
(2) Delete the SystemPreferences.plist file. I have done both and the error message continues to pop up.
I'm getting this message over and over. My MobileMe was dropped today (yesterday?).I saw another thread that suggested removing a plist. I did. So now the icon doesn't show up on my finder (also had to change sidebar preferences).

I have an e-mail that I tried to send using Mail 3.6. I accidently selected it to send from an account that has an error with the outgoing mail server. Usually when this happens and the error box pops up I just choose another server. The problem is that the email was going to a whole list of people and the options are lost at the bottom of the screen. I can't access the buttons. I have had this message on my screen now for over a month.

this problem has just occurred for two days. before that, this program was working very well.
everything in my msn messenger works fine until I start having a conversation with someone. After I send a message I need to click on the message area every time I want to respond.

I have some mobile contacts, however if they are offline and I want to send them an offline message when I click on their name it starts sending them a mobile message. I want to send them an offline message, I was wondering how to just send them an offline message, when I right click it just shows, "send mobile message" or "initiate group convo". I want to do this because I was trying to message someone the other day and I Was talking away thinking it was an offline message and they messaged and said I was im'ing to their phone.
Anyone know how to just send an offline message?
