MobileMe :: IDisk Not Allowing Sites On IWeb To Be Deleted
May 7, 2012
So, by June all my iDisk content will be gone forever? Whatever happens my issue right now is that:†I already switched to iCloud. Probably about a year ago I thought I "unpublished" my sites from iWeb, took them offline or whatever. Well, my iWeb sites are online and now that iWeb is discontinued the only way to access my iWeb sites are through my MobileMe iDisk.
I want to delete the blogs, posts, photos, etc from iWeb but the trashcan icon is not illuminated and it will not allow me to delete the content. How do I get rid of this stuff!? Or will it even matter because it will disappear June 30?†I have been browsing the discussion board and haven't seen any recent questions pertaining to this specific problem.
How do I remove iDisk from the sidebar and clear that folder on my mac? If I click on the icon after closing the account. I am asked to log back in to MobilMe.  Mobil Me is over. I don't have iDisk anymore, so how do I clear it from my computer?
I recently purchased my first mac and I wanted to get more information about mobile me. I visited mobile me website and it asked for my apple id and password. Now I just noticed that "iDisk" is listed in Finder under DEVICES although I do not have a mobile me account. How can I remove it and remove any other configurations/settings that Mobile Me has made on my mac?
My MobileMe account says "your mobileme account has been upgraded to icloud." How can I verify that any documents still saved on my iDisk are migrated/will be migrated to iCloud to avoid data loss when MobileMe ends 6/30/12?
A small one, but on my Macbook the local iDisk displaysa purple icon with a cloud, but on the iMac it's still the .Mac logo. I wonder why. I think, think, that the contents are the same - but it doesn't fill me with confidence that they're syncing together...
How can I save my iDisk to an external drive rather than to my MacBook Pro's hard drive?  Also how come iDisk and my Mac hard drive no longer show in the finder's list of drives (since I upgraded to OSX)?
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5), also PowerBook G4
How I can transfer all documents from iDisk to Pages at once? I only read information how I can transfer one document at a time, but I have thousands of documents to transfer from my iDisk which will disappear at June 30th.†In MobileMe I was using iDisk as an automatic backup system. With the software from Backuplist I made a backup from my hard disk tot iDisk.†How can I transfer all of this to Pages?
In preparation for the end of iDisk, I would like to delete all my documents. I have one file in the Documents folder that I am unable to delete. After moving the file to the trash, and confirming that I want to delete it, I get a message stating "The operation can't be completed because the item "personal.doc" is in use."†How to delete this file? The format is a password protected Word document.
Info: MacBook Air (13-inch Late 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
iDisk no longer appears on finder.†Need to back it up before end of the month. Cant seem to do it from the web application where I can still see idisk. I'd like to select all (including the folder structure) and drop it /copy it to a new location locally on a disk I can see on my imac finder for instance. iDisk we application lets me select all, I just cant drop it anywhere. iDisk had gotten turned off in the sidebar and could be turned on using finder > preferences > sidebar and clicking idisk.†When the transfer was made finder to finder all the files started coping over.
