I have Lion 10.7.2 and am running Safari version 5.1.2, hopefully I am good so far. I'm not sure what hapenned, I must have done something, but one day my address bar decided it wanted to play hide and seek and it won....the "show toolbar" option does nothing upon clicking it, neither does the "customize toolbar" option.

Safari on my MacBook just stopped working. After several failed attempts to fix the problem, I purchased and installed Snow Leopard today. At first there were no issues and I was very relieved. Now when I open Safari, I get a pop up that tells me the community toolbar doesn't support my Safari.

Community ToolbarÂ
We’re sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar. How can I make this box stop coming up since I don't even know what it is. Can it be deleted?

I am creating a photo book on shutterfly but it won't let my type in the text box on the page. When I start typing it automatically types in the Google search box.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has just recently started happening...when I type in a web address such as [URL] it will pop up and then disappear to a blank screen or some other websites just come up blank....does anyone know how I can fix this. My friend just started a new company and I can't even look at her site because it comes up a white blank screen and apparently I am the only who is having this problem. I have reset Safari and even clean up my hard drive with Onyx. Please help!!! Also, I have seen other post regarding this problem and I have clicked on the links for software for parasites but they all seem to be for Windows. I am running Safari on a Macbook 10.4.11
View 13 Replies View RelatedEarlier when i was using Internet Explorer in windows, i used to save in Favourites the various links of common web sites which i used to visit for avoiding searchng for these web sites again and again. Now, after switching to Apple, when i started using Safari, i was looking for similar Favourite folder to save common bookmarks, but i did not find any. Instead, i got one folder as Popular, which i feel as equivalent as Favourite in internet explorer.Â
Now, to organise the links in alphabetical order, i am unable to organise, since i did not find any option for the same.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my macbook pro for about 2 years and any time i would type into the search bar of safari it would always come up with a google search. recently it is coming up with a yahoo or bing search and not google. my settings for safari have it set to google as the default search engine so I'm not sure why this is happening.

In Safari whenever looking for a specific web site, other web sites on the background start to erupt and show up, which I never look for, which has become so annoying. I tried to change the Privacy settings, but all in vain.

Safari was accidentally deleted from my MB pro. Im running OSx 10.6.8 with safari 5.0.5.I was able to install it again using the install disk and checked for any software updates but it still is not showing up in my toolbar.I searched and tried the view/customize to drag the default set to toolbar, made sure show toolbar is selected etc, but still no middle section of toolbar. When I would try to drag the default set to toolbar nothing happens. The toolbar area is being shown, with the left and right arrows (on the left) and the Google search window shows (on the right), but the center white window to type web address' is not.Â

This issue has been annoying people for a number of years and all kinds of solutions have been posted by Geniuses, mainly to carefully dump the Safari .plist from the Preferences folder. That does not fix the issue! What does work is this: View, Enter FULL SCREEN. Click it 'OFF'. The display will resize and IF you want to stretch it bigger, you can BUT the Toolbar will stop disappearing!

Suddenly the toolbar at the top that shows the website and a spot to search google is gone. The only way I can access it is to go to Edit>Find>Google Search. Once I've searched the toolbar disappears again and then there is no "back" button, so if I need to search again I have to go back to Edit>Find>Google Search. UGH!

My Safari top toolbar rolls out of sight, this reappears once I move the cursor to the top of the screen but is annoying. Does anyone have any idea how to stop this? If look in View 'Hide Toolbar' is the first option at the top, this is greyed out and cannot do anything with it as a result.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else customised their toolbar (ie added/moved/removed items), only to find it resets itself every so often?
I have yet pin-pointed a pattern to this. It seems it just wants to revert to its default every now and again. Is there something I'm missing/doing?
Is there any way to change the dark gray color of the tool bar? Those with vision problems - even a little - have a hard time with black letters on dark gray background.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI cannot uninstall the TV Center Toolbar from Safari. I used the uninstall feature on the toolbar, and the uninstall feature in "applications" "toolbars" "uninstal" folder. I have even re-installed the application and then tried to uninstall (as per the companies instructions). A good 3rd party software to uninstall perhaps??
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I click in a link that opens in a new window, it opens without the toolbar/address bar. So I have to go to menu>view>show toolbar to enable it manually. I've searched in the Preferences and other menus, and in other forums and help sites, but nothing.
