I have added a language under the first tab, Language, only to find that there is no correspondingly supported input option under the fourth tab, Input Sources.
I would now like to remove the entry I added under the first tab, Langauge, but cannot figure out how to do this. I have tried highlighting and pressing delete, dragging it out of the window, etc., but so far nothing works.
If I buy a macbook in canada, but want to be able to type in Japanese, is there a fee to change the keyboard /system?

I have just purchased a Mac book pro and installed Microsoft for Mac and tried changing the language setting for the spell checker to Spanish.
I have selected the dictionary as Spanish and check add, but still my documents do not spell check in Spanish.
I used to have no problem on my PC laptop with the same function in Microsoft Word.

why the text language I had in a "for sale" flyer that I created in Pages is now in Spanish? I highlighted & pasted the text into Google Translate thinking somehow the language was changed from English to spanish but it did not translate as what I had written. I'm asking because I don't like the option+command+u shortcut for the full screen.
I am trying pages '08 in hopes that it will be the long sought replacement for MS word. Only one problem so far - I do lots of writing in Spanish but there is no way to access the Spanish dictionary in my Pages spell checker. When I hit <spelling> and then <spelling> the spell dialog comes up ok but only in English and there is no dictionary button that will allow me to change languages. It is not a problem with the OS X speller because the dictionary and dialogs work fine in both Spanish and English in other programs such as Mellel, Word, and even in the '08 versions of Keynote and Numbers. I love everything else about it so far but this one quirk would make it impossible for me to give up Word. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem with Pages?
