My 4 month old Macbook Pro 13", early 2011 has problems with its trackpad everytime i'm charging it. So whenever the charger is connected to my macbook, the trackpad doesn't do what it's supposed to do, it's really slow and clicks on things i didn't chose. When Im disconnecting my charger, everything just works just fine.

i just bought it and am having a little trouble exporting a track i made. i didnt do much to it, just cut it and can not figure out how to export. i go to the export option and then try and save it to the desktop but it is not there when i go to find it

View 5 Replies View RelatedThen I can reboot work for half an hour until battery is like 50% then it shuts off again... then I can reboot again and work for some more time. I've checked with coconut battery and when the computer stops at 70% I still have like 1700 mAh...I've reset PRAM, power management, etc...
Of course my battery is old, but it should work until 00%... not stop at 70%. Before I spend like 100$ (that is what a macbook pro battery costs here in Mexico) I'm willing to try anything...
My girlfriend's 06 or 07 white macbook is starting to stop charging pretty often. Sometimes toying with the plug or turning it around fixes it, but then it will stop again. She tried it with my roommates plug which seemed to work fine.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Macbook pro is not charging. If I move the cord (specially at the Macbook charging port) it charges. But again if the cord is slightly disturbed then it doesn't charge. The problem got worse as my Mac randomly shuts down (especially when I remove the mag at the Macbook charging port). I dono what to do. Apple care (Genius) is far from my place.There is no visible physical damage on my mag charger. Could anyone suggest what I should do? Each time I try it says "No error". Once it said "this user is not authorised for online use" but that stopped when I quit iTunes and restarted. Should I delete the app then reinstall?

I calibrated my battery for the first time since Dec. When I plugged it in this morning, it took 3 hours to charge all the way, and now it's stuck on 99% full, 0:00 till completely charged, and I'm getting an error when I click on the battery in the menu bar that says "Service Battery". When I click on the error, it tells me that it may not be functioning properly and to take it to an authorized apple service retailer. Before I waste 2 hours by going to the Apple store and back, has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to fix it without having it looked at?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased The 99 Darkest Pieces of Classical Music from Amazon. Yeah, it's sucky MP3, but it was free and I'm not a big classical music buff. I have the Album Artist field empty, and every track marked as "Part of a Compilation". So far so good. When I go to change the Artist field of any track, to fix a misspelling or capitalization error, for example, that track is instantly dragged out of the track listing for 99 Darkest and into its own album, with the album name being Unknown Album. This despite the track still being marked as Part of a Compilation. If I restore the original spelling, the track is dragged back into 99 Darkest's list. It's not like iTunes to maintain state like that. What's happening and how do I fix it?

Now hit FFW or REV. What appears in the track info box? Nothing, right? iTunes doesn't show you what song it has shuffled to. It only works if you are playing, not in pause.
Surely this is wrong? Sometimes you want to select song before playing it, right? This works fine on my Ipod. Everyone else have this problem?
I have a mid-2009 13" Macbook Pro with 8GB RAM. I have the odd situation of the power indicator on top right of screen showing that the power adapter is plugged in, but the percentage indicator stating that the laptop is "not charging." I have been working on the computer for several hours and the laptop has only charged to about 27 percent according to the battery health application that is runningI have. It says the battery has gone through 281 cycles and is 2.4 years old. It suggests the battery should still charge to 92 percent of its potential. The battery is warm as is the power adapter cube, so something is happening. The little light on the end of the power cord is green but only two of the little green dots light up on the left edge of the computer.

I got my computer yesterday, it's a iBook G4 OS X 10.5.8. The charger worked fine until around six o' clock. Then it wouldn't charge. We switched the power pack and it worked for an hour or so, and then the same thing. What can I do? I CANNOT take it to be fixed.

i have a macbook pro 13 inch 5,5. 2010 model about 2 days ago i started noticing some odd behaviour on my mbp trrackpad. the tap works fine but the click doesn't.would also like to state that my laptops battery had a health of over 90% suddenly dropped to 78 and then to 67. charging cycles=280. what can i do to bring it back up. are these two related (trackpad and battery one over the other) is there a fix?

I'm in a position where I have no way of clicking, this brings up a ridiculous problem I never thought I'd encounter whereby I can't even back up or fix the problem.
Ridiculous error if you ask me, there is an option to use universial access and turn on mouse keys but I can't click the stupid option.

I am working the the text will turn yellow with a dictionary term pop up. If using the track the cursor keeps going or goes to another place on computer. It is worse on internet use. I keep restarting the computer. I have run a full virus scan. I tired using a mouse instead of track pad.

My track pad will work to move the pointer, but I cannot click on anything. If I shut down and restart my computer, I am able to use a usb mouse just fine. If I so much as touch the track pad the usb mouse will only move the pointer and not click anything. I will have to restart the computer to be able to use the mouse again.
I have tried a SMC and a PRAM reset and it did not work. I did check the track pad settings and those are all ok. I am not sure if there is a way to do the AHT without a disk. I did look into some .plist thing to, but was not able to find what they were talking about so I did not do that.
I use my laptop in my office and i like to just have it plugged in until i need to go somewhere...
Question: Is it bad for the battery life to keep it charged for 7-8 hours a day or just charge when the batt life is very low...

i've recently noticed my mac getting hot when being used and hotter when charging, the contact for the charger has not been as reliable as it once was and the gray molding aroung the copper contacts on the mac charger port is darkening on one end.

I connected my laptop to it's magsafe charger but it just says "Not Charging". The little light also isnt turning on to show any kind of signs that it is charging or not. My laptop does get brighter when on the chager, but thats about it. I tried plugging my laptop into my sister's Macbook Pro charger, and it works perfectly fine. Alright, here goes my last two weeks. Two Sundays ago I was playing football with a couple friends. The game ended abruptly when I broke my leg and went to the hospital, but thats not the bad part. I was in the hospital for 6 hours and when I got home I found that someone had broken in and stolen my 32" Vizio flatscreen TV, xbox 360 elite, DVD player, and most importantly my 15" Macbook Pro. I called the police immediately and they came out and did the standard police thing, but as I've been in contact with them lately, they say they have no leads and I'm not going to get my stuff back, bottom line. Now I'm left with no computer to work with and worst of all, I know I'll never get the things back that were important to me on that computer. I had pictures on it from when I was 10 years old and I'll never see them again. I worked really hard to save the money to buy those things and they are all gone in an instant. I just can't believe it. I have no one else to turn to and I just don't know what else I can do. I'm getting married soon and I can't afford to go buy a new laptop, to be honest at this point that's all I care about as far as what was stolen. If anyone knows any way to track a laptop or xbox 360 it would be appreciated. I know its a long shot.

Whenever I start or restart my computer, the keyboard and track pad click are unresponsive at the login/password screen. The computer recognizes them and eventually enters them but the delay is almost 2 minutes long! I have logged out without restarting and I do not have this issue. I have tired repairing permissions, and resetting PRAM. I am thinking about an Archive and Install.
