MacBook Pro :: IOS 7.1.2 - Cannot Send Video To Friend On IMessage?
Aug 22, 2014
This is what pops up whenever I click enter to send the message with a video in it. it says that they cannot receive any files I send. What is happening?
I purchased my Macbook Pro (late 2013) Retina last month and it was fine to send and receive messages through imessage.I will see a notification for the message, but when actually going into the imessage, the message is shown after maybe 5 minutes.
some of my friends imessage doesn't work unless they are using wifi. everyone always says hold the message like you are going to copy it then click send as text message but when I hold the message it only says copy and more. how do I get it to send as a text message without shutting my imessage off and without holding the message and clicking send as text message?
I changed my apple password - BIG mistake. Now iMessage will not deliver any messages from my mac. I have tried everything, even unregistered my phone yesterday and switched iMessage back on today only to find the problem still exists. It is a great new feature of Yosemite but if it doesn't work then it's pointless and I will have to turn off iMessage permanentely
My friend and I need screen share with each other, we can't find a direct root. We both have MacBook Pros. She needs to play something on her laptop in NYC and I need to see it in LA.
I have a lot of photos and a few videos on iPhoto and Mobile Me. If I send the videos using iPhoto to FaceBook they work fine, but not if I just send out the link (tell a friend), the videos don't play. They get a prompt that says install quicktime, but then it still doesn't work. I did an online chat with support and the person told me to use iMovie and how to do that. So, question one is, is the problem with sending video through iPhoto that the file is not compatible with other computers? Question two is, should I be sending the video through iMovie?
A friend send me a video on Mercury Messenger and when I opened it I wanted to save it but where it says "Pro Save" or "Pro Save As" they are grayed out and it wont let me click it. How can I save the video?
I'm working on a video project in which it is necessary to send large chunks of video back and forth (500mb up to 4gb). So far, we've been using iDisk, and it's painful. It's dreadfully slow and times out occasionally. Is there a way to simply connect to each others Mac using Leopard? If we have the ISP information? I'm new at this, so I'm not too sure of what information we'd need.
I have been trying to send videos from my photo booth album, i've tried more than once, and various videos. But, on the receiving hand, they are not able to open it because "it's not compatible" with their computer. They do not have an Apple computer, but how could I convert the video into a file they can open and view?
Bit of a strange one to describe this, but I tried to send a message to a lot of recipients and it wouldn't send (I used the wrong server). Now I have an error message that falls off the bottom of the screen and I can't clear it.
If anyone on here uses aim, have you had issues since using Leopard sending files on AIM(AOL instant messenger)? I am unable to send anyone any type of file on there. I can receive, but I am unable to send anyone anything....any suggestions? I can send files through yahoo...so I'm not too sure why AIM hates me so much.
I installed but I cant send any messages to my friend's iPhone. Am I need something more?? I use macbook air 11" lion 10.7.3... what should I do after installation? the program say ".... is not available for iMessage". how can I make available my friend's iPhone?
Usually when I turn my computer on or open it back up & log in, iMessage will automatically log me in and show my buddy list. For some reason, sometimes it won't & whatever I try to do (like change my status from offline to available) will not work. I have tried restarting iMessage multiple times & still it won't work.
I just uploaded the new software to my older MacBook and i have "imessage" now. when i try and send out a text it says "messages couldnt send message to "number@gmail.com" " i have friends that use there macbooks to text and i have tried sending them messages and it wont work. I am signed in on Facetime but still not sure how to set up "imessage"
when I try to send a message to any contact, it says that contact is not registered. However, I can send him/her imessage from my iPhone. I have already tried to reinstall Os X, to sign in and sign out.
I decided to test out the IMessage app on my laptop, but when i try to sign into it using my Apple I.D it says that “Your Apple I.D XXX can’t be used to set up an account right now” and then tells me to contact iMessage Support, I can’t call Apple Care because my warranty is up and i’ve tried everything i can think of. It’s the correct I.D and password. When the message pops up and i click contact support - it sends me to a page with a verification code and says they dont have enough info to set up an account.
