MacBook Pro :: Finding IMT Or .xfdl Readers For Apple?
Mar 26, 2012
The Air Force uses IMT forms but the reader they provide is not compatible with Apple, the files are .xfdl, is there any IMT or .xfdl readers for apple?
I've been having the same 'no-write' problems with my card reader but now it won't work at all! I've checked the system profiler which states: 'This computer doesn't contain any Apple Internal Memory Card Readers.'
Info: MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
My Mom and I have different cameras and she doesn't use a computer, so she usually asks me to upload her pics. Problem is, she's got a Sony Camera and it uses a proprietary Sony cable and I hate having to switch between my cable (just a standard USB camera cable) to hers. What I want is a compact USB memory card reader that handles both SD and Sony Memory Sticks. I'd like one that just plugs straight in to USB without a cable. I've looked around and can't find a whole lot.
I have a camera that has an SD slot and I use an 8GB card. When I connect my camera to my Macbook, it looks like it's going closer to uSB 1.1 speeds than USB 2.0, nowhere close to 480 Mbps. This is really inconvenient and would like a faster solution. I've searched Amazon and I've found CF to FireWire 800/400 readers, but none for SD. I've found a few USB 2.0 ones for SD, but USB 2.0 is not nearly as fast as Fire Wire in the real world. Anyway, does anyone know of Firewire to SD card readers? I'd really like one. It annoys me they only have fire wire for compact flash.
My 27in late 2013 iMac using Yosemite 10.10.1 will not recognize USB card readers. I've tried 3 different card readers and even a brand new 3.0 reader. I only Lexar Professional Compact Flash cards, so I have to use an external card reader. My 2010 Macbook Pro has no problems reading all 3 of my external card readers. If I plug in an SD card to the external card reader nothing happens, but if I insert the SD card straight into the iMac it can recognize the card immediately. What am I doing wrong?
I have the base model 13" MBP in my possession, but I have been trying to return it for a 13" 2.53ghz machine since last Friday. And even until today, they have been out of stock of this particular model. I have called all the Apple Stores in my area and they have been out of stock for about 5-6 days. I checked the online store and all 2.53ghz models (13" or 15") are backordered 5-7 days. All other models ship within 24 hours.
So, what are your experiences at your Apple Store in regards to the stock of 13" 2.53ghz model? Are the higher end 13" selling this well, or could there be a problem producing/sourcing enough 2.53ghz processors?I will continue to wait until they are back in stock until then.
My late 2008 MBP has been running very hot (with a virtual machine running the other night, it got up to 175F/80C) so I took it in to an Apple Authorized Service Provider today about an hour ago. After reading some of the threads on here about the thermal paste, I figured I'd at least have an AASP look at it first since it's still under warranty. The gentleman there told me it'd be middle of next week before he'd have a diagnosis. Is this a normal timeframe? I guess I assumed that they'd just take a look at it right away or at the latest I'd have to stop back in later today to pick it up, but that's almost a week away just for the diagnosis!
I work in Fort Wayne, IN, so I'm 3 hours from the nearest retail store in Indy, or closer to 4 for Chicago, so this is my only option.
I'd love to be able to add a Blu-ray drive (internal) to my Mac Pro, now that the Format War is over. But I don't want to just buy some BD-ROM drive and pray that it will work in my machine.
Does anyone have any clues about when Apple will announce a BD-ROM drive, available as a purchase-time option or an optional later-on add-on from Apple, which Mac Pro users can buy and install?
I recently purchased the new mac mini from Best Buy: [URL] Unfortunately they had no option to upgrade the units RAM, so for now I am stuck with the standard 2gb.
My question to you would be my best option out there for cheap RAM. My preference would be either a single 4gb stick or to 4gb sticks to get me to 8gb. In full I am looking to spend no more than $300 dollars, but want to have the best performance possible. Unfortunately the Apple branded RAM is a little too steep for me at this time: [URL](8gb in particular), and I would hate to get two 2gb sticks and have to re-purchase everything again when I decide to go to 8gb in the future.
So i found a really cheap g4 cube.I was wandering if i could use it as a apple tv.Id upgrade it and put leopard on it so i could use front row.Is there any way to make the cube output video to componet or composite?like the red, yellow, and white.
does anyone think that Apple wil create a professional version for web developing. I mean it seems they're heavily invested in the web developing world and with html5 around the corner an all. Not to mention, I dont want to use dreamweaver as it doesnt seem to be intuitive (at least to me) and rapidweaver is very nice and very easy to use, except missing a lot of features, even with 3rd party plugins, there is a lot left to be desired.
So someone offered me a g4 cube and a 32 gb 2nd gen touch for my 160 gb apple tv. I already have a 8 gig touch so i figure ill sell the 32 gig touch cause i dont need all that memory. The specs of the cube are 450 mhz processor,1gb of ram, leopard, and a 20 gb hard drive.Should i do this trade?
Now, I have Apple eMac 1 GHz, G4. I would like to have an extra hard drive, since this one is almost full. As I've understood, there are only 2 "slots", and one of them is used by DVD/CD reader, other is, of course - hard drive.
For me, it's easiest to buy internal S-ATA drive. Now, how will I connect it. Are there any S-ATA to Firewire cables / adapters.
I've been having the problem with my i7 iMac that the computer randomly stops responding to my remote about 5 minutes after I start using it. I can unpair/pair the two and they'll work for about another 5 minutes, but then it happens again and the remote is useless until I go mess around with the machine. This problem has been noted by noted by several people over at the Apple forums, but I hadn't seen it mentioned here. I guess the first question is asking if anyone with a 27" iMac and remote DOESN'T have this problem (i.e., has an iMac that doesn't crap out and stop recognizing the remote periodically). I've got both the old white remote and the new aluminum remote and it happens with both, so it's definitely an iMac issue rather than a remote issue.
Does anybody happen to know if Apple has a feedback or suggestion page for Safari? I would like to request a feature that they seemed to overlook, the "Home Page" button. This is like my most used button in a web browser, and I miss it in such a great browser. I've tried searching to but no result.
I currently have a 450MHz Cube with a standard CD-ROM. I would like to add a CD burner, but I'm debating whether to buy an internal burner, perhaps one that originally came with the Cube, or a faster external version.
i got a kensington bluetooth usb 2.0 adaptor since my mac pro desktop does not have boothtooth...
when i reboot or lose power to the computer, i lose the connectivity of the keyboard when i turn on the computer back on...i cannot find any downloads or help from kensington nor apple..
I don't know if this forum is the correct one to ask the question I have.
I'm going to New York next month, and I'd like to know if I could buy the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard (Spanish version) in one of the Apple Store of New York.
(First of all for the people who will not read the thread, but just post away) I DO NOT MEAN LIKE THE iPad, BUT USING GESTURES ON A PHYSICAL KEYBOARD Okay, would you buy a keyboard where the keys are coated in the Apple Trackpads' glass and have touch sensors built-in. It would allow you to do things like swipe three fingers in the same row to start a new paragraph and automatically indent, Finger swipe up for select all, some undo commands, and a lot of other typing related gestures.
I put my music library on an external hard drive. When I open Apple TV and try to listen to music it does not find any until I open Itunes on my computer and click on a song. After I do that it seems to find the right path.
I'm looking for an applescript to detect if a cd is inside my mac, if cd inside (possible to detect if empty?) do one thing.Otherwise do another thing.
I have recently bought a 2008 Mac Pro (8 Core) and have pimped it up with RAM, Vertex SSD and a few 2TB hard drives, on top of that I have pulled the trigger on a Apple LED display however require a graphics card that is compatible for the Apple LED Displays with Mini DisplayPort.
-can I play windows games on my new imac? (a company of heroes) -I dont fully understand how the anti virus works...i feel like i need to download something?
Can someone explain to me why Apple has refused to make a wireless version of their full size keyboard with the numeric keypad? Their wired version is great, but I can't stand wires. When my full size white Apple keyboard went to the sandbox in the sky last year, I dropped $120 for a brand new one I found online (high price to the fact Apple didn't make them anymore then), and now that one has just taken a dump -- I spilt literally three drops of water on it and the space bar stopped working completely.
Now I'm stuck with Apple's micro wireless keyboard until they come out with the full size wireless one - if ever.
Is it just a server? and how much do they go in retail shops / stores??
I would like to find out as i have a mac mini, g5 quad and a macbook.. just a fan of apple mac lol. I do alot of webdesigning for many clients, could the xserve be a way to i don't know host these clients or something if it is a webserver?
I recently went to turn on my laptop, and it started up, I heard the hard drive cycle, and it automatically went to a grey apple as the typical startup...but it froze there & a pinwheel was spinning...but it wouldn't boot up! What can I do to check this out?
