MacBook Pro :: New Feature Of Inertial Scrolling ?
Apr 15, 2010So, been playing with it and I don't know if it translates as well to the laptop world. I love when i use it on the iPhone but it feels a bit 'funky' using it on the trackpad. Maybe it's me, but it just doesn't feel quite right. I am going to give it some more time but I personally may be turning this feature off.

Jun 11, 2010I just bought a new 13" MPB from the Apple Store today, however after using it I noticed there's no inertial scrolling. I'm using the old hard drive from my 2008 unibody macbook so would that have something to do with it? I can't find the option in the preference pane either.

Jul 10, 2010So I just installed an Intel x25-M into the hard drive bay of my MBP 15" i7, and put the stock HDD into the optibay.Installed OSX onto the SSD, wiped the HDD clean, everything seems to be working perfectly.Disabled SMS, disabled hibernation, all fine. I would like to enable noatime, but for the life of me can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
After I restart, I check the status of naotime in terminal (as directed) but all I see is "hfs, local, journaled" and there is no indication of noatime.

Apr 29, 2012I own a MBP 13" early 2011 model  I just recently Upgraded my 320GB hard drive to an intel 520 SSD (240gb). After setting up lion 10.7.3 i realized that TRIM was not enabled by default. after searching around I found a way to enable it. However, I've also read that alot of sandforce 2281 controllers have their own form of garbage collection. intel uses some custom firmware they written so would it be benificial if i enable trim or not?

May 22, 2012i just noticed today that my photo stream has not been working for over a month. I have all the current updates, but when i try to turn on my photostream in iphoto is says " iphoto was unable to connect to photo stream." In my system preferences, I have photo stream checked but when the errer comes up, it automaticlly unchecks it.

Essentially my problem is that I'm unable to set new shortcuts for the F5 and F6 keys for my Silver Macbook. Since it doesn't have a backlit keyboard, there's no function for F5 and F6. I'd like to make them go to shortcuts such as "Show Desktop" and "Spaces", both of which are supported under the "Keyboard Shortcuts" Tab of "Keyboard & Mouse". So, I have them configured to match up to F5 and F6, but they do not activate the corresponding function when pressed.
I have the "Use function keys as standard function keys" checkmark unset:I apologize for the fairly small problem...I just really want to free up those two keys! I appreciate any response.
Hardware :: Scroll Wheel Won't Scroll Down
Apr 7, 2010I'm using a wireless Mighty Mouse with a Mac Mini (the newest model) and am running 10.6.3.
The scroll wheel can scroll up just fine, but scrolling down, it literally only scrolls down a fraction of a pixel (if that's even possible) per finger flickr/scroll.
I opened the Mouse panel from System Preferences and adjusted the Scroll setting, but no luck.

Dec 27, 2010I have an Unibody MacBook. I've experienced that under OS X "Tap to Click" function of the trackpad stops to work after "some" usage. Then I go to System Preferences, disable the feature, reenable it and it starts working again. OS X is updated and firmware updates are all installed.

After reinstalling it, I am unable to do so. I have investigated the trackpad features in System Preferences, but it shows only the three-finger drag option. How do I get to select + drag a windown using single tap.

Jul 3, 2009Suddenly I can't scroll down using my aqua scroll bar. I can scroll up just fine. This is true whether I'm in Firefox, Safari, or any sort of document-making applications. System preferences is set to 'scroll horizontally and vertically.' It's not the end of the world, but it's klunky and annoying. Could someone please remind me of something very obvious that I'm obviously doing wrong?

but I cannot delete the # sign. When I highlight the # and press delete, nothing happens, but I can delete other letters in this window. Is there another way to enable?

Mar 26, 2012PHP version 5.3.3 seems installed. But when I attempt to open php pages the browser opens them as text. It seems that I must edit the httpd.conf file to actually enable php. I changed the permissions on the file with sudo chmod ug+rw for httpd.conf. TextEdit still doesn't allow me to change it. It's saying that I don't have permission to write to that folder. I changed the permission the /etc/apache2 and that didn't help. What must I do to be able to modify httpd.conf and enable php support? Is there a different way to enable PHP? I am aware that MAMP is an option. But I should not have to use that option if php is available in apache.

I have been trying to figure how to correctly enable SSH and RDP so we can use either of them to remotely manage the box.
First, is this possible on just Snow Leopard and not Snow Leopard Server?
I am struggling to see if this is possible to do. Maybe it is not?
