MacBook Pro :: Connect It To Wireless Projector?

Feb 16, 2012

I have a Casio (XJ-A240V/XJ-A245V) data projector, and I'm trying to connect wirelessly with a MacBook Pro (10.6.8). I see the projector in my Network wireless connection menu as "casiolpj_default1." The projector's LOGIN CODE is four digits, but the Network settings on my laptop must contain a minimum of eight characters. I've also tried connecting to the projector's Server IP address via computer to computer. I can join, but no projection. The projector is set to Wireless Input. I have clicked "detect monitors" on the MacBook.  No further info is available in the projector manual.

MacBook Pro :: Connect To TV / Projector / Soundsystem

Sep 24, 2009

Looking to connect your Mac notebook to a TV, projector, or sound system? Here's a quick guide that outlines all the things you need to make it happen - from adapters to cables to ports. Just follow the simple instructions to verify that you're getting exactly what you need. And remember, just because you setup the video side of things correctly doesn't mean you're going to get audio. If you want both video AND audio, make sure to also follow the directions indicated in the "Audio" portion of this post. VIDEO Check the ports on the back of your TV or sound system to see which of the following options are available to you. Find the port that matches below, and you're set! Remember, if you also want audio, check the "Audio" section at the bottom of the post. If you want to use composite video and you're using a MacBook (white, purchased after fall 2009), you need this adapter + a third party converter + a VGA cable + a composite (aka "RCA") cable. Aluminum unibody (black keys, purchased after summer 2009) MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro, you need this adapter + a third party converter + a VGA cable + a composite (aka "RCA") cable.

MacBook Pro :: Connect New To LG HX300G Digital Projector?

Jun 11, 2012

I just got this new computer and the connections are different. I realize that we now have thunderbolt instead of the video connection I had on my last MacBook. I have to teach a class on Friday. How can I connect my new computer to the projector? There doesn't seem to be an adaptor cable made for this. The projector is relatively new, expensive, and I can't buy another one. The video cable from the projector is a PC-type thing with two screws.

MacBook Pro :: 2013 Retina Display Won't Connect To Viewsonic Projector

Sep 3, 2014

I'm having difficulties connecting my late-2013 retina display Macbook Pro to my Viewsonic PJD5223 projector. I have a (working) HDMI to VGA adaptor as well as an HDMI to mini-displayport/thunderbolt adaptor, and I have tried using two methods to connect:

1. Using he HDMI port directly

2. Using the thunderbolt port through the HDMI/thunderbolt adaptor on the Macbook Pro

Neither method appear to working. My Macbook Pro screen begins to blink/flicker, as if connecting then disconnecting rapidly. During the quick flashes, sometimes I can catch a glimpse of successful connection to the projector because the display settings panel for multiple screens appears.

I know that my adaptors are working because I can connect my Macbook Pro to my HP monitor with either of the two methods. I can also connect my PC to the projector using the HDMI/VGA adaptor. The problem appears to be specific to the retina display Macbook Pro or a more recent software update because I can connect to the projector using an older 2008 non-retina Macbook Pro.

I can plug in my windows netbook fine via VGA to VGA, and the projector can catch the signal.

MacBook Pro :: Can't Connect To Internet - Using Wireless Modem To Connect To The Netgear Wgt624

Dec 27, 2007

I have a blackbook (intel core 2 duo) and I can connect to my landlord's wireless network (they have a netgear wgt624) but I can't actually use the web (Safari or Firefox will just "think"). I've tested the diagnostics and it confirms that my mac can connect to the network, but it cannot connect to the internet. The network uses WPA personal and it has a 19-aphanumeric passphrase.

*Also - would it be possible for me to extend the wireless range (and make it possible to browse the web) if I used my own 2wire wireless modem to connect to the netgear wgt624?

MacBook Air :: Rev.C 1.86 Won't Connect To Wireless Router

Mar 11, 2010

I have a Macbook Air Rev.C 1.86GHz and just yesterday, it stopped connecting to my D-Link wireless router. There have not been any updates applied to the router or the Mac recently, nor have I installed any apps to the Mac either. My iPhone sees and connects to the router fine, as does my MSI netbook, and my TabletPC too. I have turned the router off numerous times in trying to troubleshoot this, and only for a minute or two, does the Mac see the router and connect getting an IP. It then loses the connection shortly after. I have turned off the Mac's Airport a number of times, I have reset the SMB (I think, using the ctrl/shift/option/Power button while off, letting go, then pressing the Power Button only).

MacBook :: Why Cannot Connect To Wireless Network

Mar 26, 2012

I've been using my MacBook to connect to the Internet through my Linksys wireless router around three years now. While I've had more than my fair share of problems between my MacBook and my wireless router, recently, things seems to have been going fine. While my wireless router needs a restart at least once or twice a day, I haven't had any major issues with it until a few weeks ago when my MacBook refused to connect to the network. It suddenly started working again two or three days later and I haven't thought about the issue until yesterday, when my laptop has again refused to connect.

When I login, the Wi-Fi searches for a Wi-Fi network and eventually connects to mine with the error 'Alert: No Internet Connection' in the menu. It can connect to my phone's wireless hotspot fine and all other devices in the house can connect to the network fine.

MacBook Pro :: It Can't Connect To Wireless Internet

Mar 30, 2012

I have a MacBook Pro that I have had from about 3 years now. It's been great but earlier this week, it wasn't able to connect to the internet here at my school (college). I didn't think too much of it because my schools internet is always spotty and goes down from time to time. Yet when I go on to my computer tonight nothing I do with my airport or computer will get my webpages to say anything other than "Server not found". I tried turning off my airport then back on and reselecting my network because usually that helps. It would say it connected and I would have full bars but still the same error message. I tried again, and when I did it this time, I did it from within the system/network preferences. When I did this, I watched the connection of my airport go red, then I would connect and it would go to yellow saying I had no IP address.

I would then sit and wait and eventually it would fully connect giving me the green go-a-head. But, again when I would open up my internet, I would get the "Sever not found" message. I would then quit my firefox all together and tried again that way and still same massage. I restarted my computer and tried again...nothing. I became more concerned because my roommate could get on the internet just fine and I could use the wireless in my room through my phone. I was consered that now this was a matter with my computer and not just the internet, so to make sure I got out my ethernet cable and hooked it up with my connection in my room.

MacBook :: Could Not Connect To Wireless Network Timeout

Mar 2, 2012

I´ve massive trouble with connecting my wireless network via Airport. I´ve a MacBook (2008) with Lion. My connection was working till last week. I´vnt changed any setting or something..I was working like every day. From one secound to another the connection to my network was broken. When I try to connect to my network my Mac gives a trouble message: "timeout". I allready checked my router config (192.168.0.1 as admin) and everything is fine. No MAC Filter! Everything is set like it´s written in the apple manual. I allready restarted my router. Plugged it completly off. Not working. I was so desperated that I installed my system (Lion) new 2 days ago. The connection problem is still there! I don´t now where the problem is! I can connect with my MacBook to any other wireless network and via ethernet. The router is working fine because I can connect with my other laptop to it (by the way with 2 iphone as well). Do anyone no this problem? I don´t know what to do now.
