Jun 30, 2012How can I determine which SSD (if any) are compatible upgrades to my Macbook? I currently have the OEM 250gb drive and am exploring options that can speed it up a little more while keeping it functional for another few years. I'd want a drive that is at least 256gb or maybe larger so as to not be losing any space. I'm currently running 10.6.8 and am hoping to leapfrog directly to Mountain Lion this month when it releases at the same time as installing the new SSD. This is a 2008 (late fall) 13" aluminum chassis Macbook with the 2.4 Intel Core 2 duo processor and 4gb of 1067 Mhz DDR3.

They offer their models with either the old Magsafe connector or the new, silver, tubular connector. I would prefer the tubular connector, but I have the old style MBP (non-unibody).

Sep 25, 2010I have an early 2010 13 inch macbook hooked up to an AG neovo F-417 monitor. Now i can get it to connect in both mirror and clamshell mode, but it seems to black out on me every few seconds ranging from 20 to sometimes a few minutes, switching back to the macbook screen.
I have basically tried to use every possible screen resolution but the blackouts won't go away.
is it possible that it is an incompatibility issue?

Mar 19, 2009This relates to: [URL]. We are trying to determine the compatibility of the air keyboard to the macbook unibody. Can someone with an air tell what these basic measurements are:
* from side to side
* from top to bottom
* the exact size of the Esc, F1-F12 and eject keys (one would be enough)
If you would like to go further you can measure others as well, but if those 3 match than the rest probably do as well considering that it has already been confirmed that the keys from an old non-unibody macbook can be swapped to the air or mb unibody.

Jan 12, 2009I have had my alum Macbook since its release, and have a personal preference issue about the black keys. Since 08 I have loved my slim IMac chicklet keyboard with the white keys, so much so that I purchased an apple bluetooth keyboard to type on for long typing excursions. I had the bluetooth keyboard right up against my Macbook and realized that the layout, size and shape of the keys were identical. I love the white keys simply for the contrast of the black letters on the white chicklets. I also hate how the keys are getting shiny black, just kinda feels cheap. I should try to swap the keys on these units? I would love the white keys on my macbook, but I am not sure if they attach the same. I don't have the backlit keys, so I wouldn't loose anything.

However, it is missing some parts such as a battery and firewire.Before I buy these things, I want to know if I will even be able to transfer videos from the camera to my computer, and if I will be able to edit them on iMovie, and generally how compatable the two are.I also want to know which firewire I can buy that will work to transfer videos from the camera to my computer. I have been looking on Amazon for the cable I think is appropriate (IEEE 1394) but the cable which have good reviews and seem to work are 4 pin/6 pin and I don't think those would fit in this computer; the ones with USB endings don't seem to work for most people.
