I can't print anymore on my Canon i850 printer. It worked flawless previously. Now it keeps saying 'printer is offline'. The printer is connected through USB. I connected the printer to my old PC. Initially there it also says 'printer is offline' but after a few seconds the printer starts working. So the printer works on my PC, but not on my Apple. So why won't it work on my iMac anymore? I have a feeling it could have something to do with recent software-updates I installed, but I'm not sure.
View 3 Replies View Related"This page can't be displayed because your computer is currently offline" - what exactly does that mean? I've gone through and repaired by hard drive, and there didn't seem to be a problem there. I've manually entered in an IP address several times...and I've checked that there are no proxies selected.

I am new to the forum, I apologize if I am posting in the wrong spot! I am also new to mac.
Just bought a 17" macbook pro & am trying to get my HP C6280 to work on the mac. The printer is connected to our wireless router. The mac sees the printer, but says it is offline. I tried (after googling online) connecting it thru the usb to the macbook & updating the drivers, then I could "open print que" but not sure what I was supposed to do there. It will work if it is connected thru the usb, but not just wirelessly.I thought maybe of "uninstalling" it & starting over, but I do not how to uninstall it.
I have MacBook (10.5.8) connected to a wireless router. My printer also connected there. When printing via USB - it is OK when printing via WiFi - I am getting the message in printer queue: printer is currently offline.

I have a Canon MX310 hooked up via a USB hub (shared with a HD) to an gigabit AEBS. Everything works fine under Leopard but no Windows boxes (either bootcamp or otherwise) can see the printer as being online. I have the latest Bonjour and even tried manually installing the printer. I checked the port/IP and everything is as it should be. Airport Utility says that printer is being shared over Bonjour and the Bonjour Print Wizard has no problem finding the printer for me to set up but the printer appears offline and won't print. I have rebooted the AEBS. All boxes are running Windows 7.

I have an older desktop Mac that I have Garageband on, amongst other software. It doesn't have any network access (no network plug nearby, no wifi hardware).I was thinking of updating Garageband so I can upload songs from my iphone version of Garageband to this offline Mac.Can I purchase the necessary upgrade from the Mac App Store via an online Mac, then transfer it to my offline Mac?And if so, can I install the upgrade without needing a network connection for verification or whatever?

I have a Windows XP Desktop with a Epson Stylus S21 connected to it with bonjour downloaded onto it. Using the step-by-step guides, I've managed to connected my MacBook Pro to the printer over the system and have managed to print. The only problem is, when I do send a document to print from my MacBook it only prints out a blank page with nothing printed on it. I know that the two are connected as I can send things to print, and it's not an issue with the printer as my desktop is able to print fine.

My MacBook Pro OS 10.9.4 regularly "loses" my home printer, set up through my WIFI. Even though I can see it in the Printer Menu, it claims I am not connected. So, I delete said printer. When I go to add a new printer, it cannot find said printer and I cannot figure out how to manually tell it that it is sitting right here on my desk.

I have a pre-Intel iMac G5, running OS 10.5.8. I have been using an HP LaserJet P3005, connected with a USB2 cable, with no problems. The fuser got "muddy" on the 3005 so I bought a new HP LaserJet P2035n. I've loaded and reloaded the printer software from the provided CD, downloaded the driver software from the HP support website, but the computer doesn't recognize the printer. Called HP support and everything they suggested came up empty; they told me to exchange the printer for a another new one, but I get the same results with it. I'm using the same USB cable I used with the 3005 -- it worked perfectly with that printer as recently as this morning. What's wrong with my iMac or setup?

I just got a ps3 and what it boils down to is that I cannot use the ps3 and my macbook on my wireless network at the same time. I have the late 2008 unibody 2.0 macbook. Each plays nice with the network individually but as soon as I try to connect to the internet on both at the same time they crap out and I get the "your computer is not connected to the internet" error message in safari and a similar message on my ps3.
I tried researching it online and all I could find is that the routers DNS server could possibly be issuing the same ip address to both units and this could be causing the problem, seeing as you can't have the same ip address twice on a given local network. I've done all the basics like restarting each machine, disconnecting and reconnecting etc and it doesn't seem to work.
We have a 2007 white MacBook. It's connected to an HP all in one color laser printer, but we also want to connect a second laser printer. We've tried both an HP and a Samsung, which the boxes said were compatible but when hooked up and we try to print we keep getting a Printing Stopped message, even when we click on "Start Printing".

I have purchased an HP C4580 wireless printer. My main computer is a Macbook Pro and I connect to the internet via a wireless modem/router I have managed to get the printer operating in both USB wired and wireless mode over the modem/router with my Macbook Pro running OSX I need to run and print from some windows programs so I have Windows 7 running on the Macbook also via Parallels. The printer will work in Windows if the printer is connected to the Macbook via USB but I cannot get the wireless to work in Windows. When running the HP install for it I get the following message: The PC and the printer are connected to different networks(237DB2A87D and 66616B65). They must be connected to the same network. This can happen when you use the manufacturer's default network name (SSID) and another nearby network is using the same name.I also have tried to connect to the printer via another Vista desktop connected wirelessly to the modem/router and get the same error message so I dont think its got to do with the fact I have a Macbook, OXS, Parallels etc.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy macbook is running Mavericks OS X 10.9.4, and I'm having difficulty getting rid of the vertical black columns on my computer screen when it is connected to my classroom projector. I've played with the resolutions, and the best resolution for the VGA display is 1024x768...Unfortunately this creates less than desirable black columns on my computer screen. Another teacher in my school has display settings of "1024x768 stretched," and her macbook does not have the issue mine does. However, I don't think she is running Mavericks 10.9.4. I cannot find this display option on my computer.

However, there is one problem I cannot resolve, I have an HP printer connected to my Buffalo Linkstation Live NAS which works fine on my windows computers but for the life of me I cannot get my Mac to see it. It has a static IP and i've tried putting this into the printer and fax utility with no joy, also connected it directly via usb and installed the correct software and it works fine, but as soon as I try and access it over my network, no joy.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got an HP Laser Jet connected to my Time Capsule that until recently worked just fine. I was able to print to it from both Lion machines on my network (and my Windows XP box). We also have an HP PhotoSmart printer D110 on the same wireless network. After applying the 10.7.3 update, none of the computers on my network can print. They all give me "printer not connected" messages.I thought it might have been the Time Capsule, but we can't print to the D110, either and it has its own print server.Has anyone else run into this with 10.7.3?
