How do I upload existing pictures from IPhoto to ICloud? I am trying to off load all these pics to make laptop faster.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe monitor on the far right is the one in question. I have a dual monitor set up with the other two. I don't know why that third one exists (I don't have a third monitor, TV, or anything else hooked up); it's annoying since windows seem to randomly appear over there and I have to "fish" them out. All I know is that that display is called "Television". Any ideas? I'm running Tiger, fully updated, on a PowerMac G5.

Can I sync another phone to my already existing itunes account without losing any information on both the computer and Iphone?

I cannot just drag and drop new tracks into an existing playlist. I do NOT want a whole new playlist, just want to add these tracks into a play list I already have. But itunes will not let me do this.
Info:
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), also have an iBook and an iPod Touch
can I convert an existing playlist to mp3, then burn or do I have to go back to each after... . and how can I look at just files that are mp3...? should I convert my whole library?

I'm trying to understand how itunes imports files and where it puts them. Does itunes duplicate existing files when your first install it?
In other words if I have some songs and videos in my computer and I install itunes, I know it will search for files during the installation and add them to the itunes library so, here is where my question comes, does itunes copies the files it finds to the itunes library and leave the exiting files in its original location or it moves them to a new location?
I'm just trying to understand how itunes imports and stores files and where it puts them.
I have a Mac Mini connected to a Lacie external HD that houses all of my iTunes library. I've just bought a new iMac to replace the Mini and want to keep the iTunes library on the external, just point the new machine's iTunes to the existing library on the external.
How best to do that? I don't want to restore from TM because I want to start fresh from this Mac and there really isn't a lot to keep other than the iTunes (most of it is on the external). If I point to an existing location, I don't need to Consolidate, do I? Any risk of losing the library? Do I need to unlink the library on the existing Mac?
I have a mac book with my itunes account on it and the machine is also sync with my iphone. I need to return my laptop to my friend and have bounght a new Imac. Can I set up my existing itunes account with my new imac? I'm not too worried about transferring the files I can reload those later but I wanted to avoid setting up another account as it's already sync with my iphone. is that possible? or do I set up a new account on my Imac and then how do I put this on my phone?Â
View 2 Replies View RelatedI copied my cousin's itunes music folder onto my external hard drive so I could add it to my own.
I dragged the artists into my iTunes music folder.
I was asked whether I wanted to replace existing folders... e.g we both had "Arctic Monkeys" folders.
I CLICKED REPACE ALL... What a mistake.
I'm very much into music and I have lots of songs, whereas my cousin only had a small library.
Now, my "Arctic Monkeys" folder only has a few songs in that she had, and i've lost loads from my library from many artists that both of us had.
My old computer died and my most recent iPod stolen. I have a new computer and a new iPod but iTunes won't let me authorize the new computer to access my previous library. How to authorize a new computer when old computer died? The iTunes I have downloaded does not give me a deauthorize previous computers option nor does it give me an option to authorize the new computer. I would very much like to access my previous iTunes library.

iPod nano (5th generation), Windows 7
When I log in and try to manage my exisiting playlist, I click on add songs.
THe search window opens and I enter a song. The choices which then appear do not have "add song" buttons next to them. Instead, they have purchase options buttons.Â
I have tried this for weeks. Using a macbook pro (LION) with latest version of itunes.

I want to buy an iPod with more memory. Can I transfer music from my existing account to a new iPod?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy AppleTV keeps showing old podcasts which don't exist anymore in my iTunes library. Of course I can't play them because the file has since long been deleted. I don't see them anywhere in iTunes, so I can't delete them from my library.Â
I found the reason for this behaviour: those old podcasts are still present in my iTunes library xml file. I deleted this file and restarted iTunes. iTunes will create a brand new xml file from the original .itl file. However, the old non-existent podcasts are still present in the new xml file. So the error must be present in my .itl file.Â

Is this a deeply-buried function, or does it not exist as an option in the latest version of iTunes? Or am I missing something obvious and easy?

Okay here's the thing: I (not so long ago) copied my entire itunes library to my external hard drive. Now I have updated my itunes library on my powerbook, and want to make sure that I back up the new songs/albums I have. The problem with this is that I have always found that when I drag the itunes folder from my powerbook to the itunes folder on my external drive, it asks to 'replace the itunes music folder'. I don't want this as there are some albums that I have stored in my folder but not on my itunes library and still want to keep them stored.
Is there any way that I could just keep adding to the 'existing' itunes folder on my external drive?
My Aperure (version 3.2.2.) can't display certain pictures from the Library. I can see from these "pictures" only their information, rating, adjustments, but not the photo itself. Their is a message saying that the picture was edited with a previous version of Aperture RAW version. BUT the older photos are okay in my Library.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Canon Powershot A610 digital camera, and recently I switched laptops to a Macbook Pro. It downloads photos automatically to the iPhoto folder, which I dislike but don't know how to change. iPhoto only lets me view my photos in a slideshow, which is totally inconvenient when I need to move files around and edit things, but for some unknown reason, when I open the photos in any other program, they only display in thumbnail size. Yet they're fine in iPhoto!
I need high-resolution photos for my university projects, and the only way I can get them on this laptop is to open my photos in iPhoto, start a "classic" slideshow (which is still too small, really), take a screenshot of the slideshow, then open the screenshot in another program. This is truly bizzare. Why are my photos displaying in high quality in iPhoto, but stuck at thumbnail size in Premier, Photoshop and every other program I open them in? It's almost completely unworkable, and I know the problem isn't with my camera, as it worked fine on my old laptop.
I don't know what I did but I cannot get my photos to show in the normal 2x2 grid showing all photos at once. Instead with "photos" selected from the top left it will show one photo almost full size and then I can use the slider on the right side to scroll thru all my photos at pretty much full size. I want to be able to see the grid view, which is working fine when I select "events". Can anyone help me to get photos back to displaying properly?
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, on Mac:Messenger, I can not see all my contact's display photos. I see very few of my friend's display photos, all others just display as the green msn man.
I've looked into the cache folder of M:M, and there are a lot of display photos in that folder, which belong to my friends, however they're not showing up in the actual program. I can only see like 10% of my friends's display photos in the application.
I can set my own display photo fine. However, after a certain amount of time, a random time, my photo will stop showing up in the window, and I have to reset my display photo again. The image is 150x150 pixels, and is 147kb. It's a bit annoying.
Simple question: Why suddenly can't Safari display photos and images on websites? Chrome works fine, as does Firefox.
Info:
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Safari 5.1.5
My cache was accidentally cleared last night (I was working on cleaning my computer out, d/led Cocktail and I guess it did it automatically) and all my settings were reset. Everything has been put back to normal, except for my Photobooth-- it won't show any of the old photos taken in the app itself! It just says "No Photos", even though all the photos still remain in the user/Pictures/Photo Booth folder. When I take a new photo, it shows up in the folder right next to the old one so I don't know what the probem is.Â
Is there any way I can make the photos show back up in the application? None of the folders are locked. Stupid Cocktail.
