View 2 RepliesI've never had any success in watching videos posted on Apple's web site. All I ever get is a QuickTime icon, controls and what I assume is a loading bar flashing back and forth like Kitt's lightbar from Knight Rider! It will never start playing anything. I'm at work and on a Windows 7 x64 workstation. I've tried Firefox v13, IE9 and Safari v5.1.7 using QuickTime 7.7.1. Here is a screen shot of what I see..

I can watch movies on flash drive and dvds no probs or from harddrive but streaming is very choppy. I know connection is not the issue (I have broadband) and streaming works fine on sony desktop running xp 1ghz with 256 mb ram. What gives?
View 10 Replies View RelatedAfter 3 to 5 minutes of viewing video on international media website EWTN, the streaming just stops, and doesn't restart. It happens it on multiple browsers (Safari and Firefox), it does it on both of my iMacs (both 10.9), and this is a new symptom which never happened before after years of viewing. I also have not had a change in my cable subscription or cable speed. I know that there are a lot of points and parties involved in online streaming, but given the facts that I've presented, why this is happening? One more detail. My iMac upstairs is a new 27" and the second one where I am doing most of the video streaming in the kitchen is my older 2007 aluminum iMac which got a new 1 terrabite hard drive and was kind of started from scratch around the same time as getting the new 27". I mention this because this problem may correspond to this change, new computer and new hard drive with system starting from scratch. I do have adobe flash. Should I have any other video viewing systems and try them for this website?Â

I would like to know what the lowest processor speed of a PC that you can watch streaming videos thru the net that keeps up with audio and video at the same time.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy wife loves to watch Thai movies and tv shows online. Unfortunately we have had to settle for watching everything in very small windows, as the "full size" options never work. I assume this is because these websites are set up for windows. We currently need to use Flip4Mac to watch these sites. We are using Safari as our browser. Any one have any idea if we would have better luck with another browser, or another video player? I could just install different browsers and video players and try them out, but I was hoping someone may be able to point us in the right direction so we don't have to install, then try and un-install a bunch of stuff, and I certainly don't want to install windows!
View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone know of a Mac OS X software that will capture streaming video and save in a playable format in Mac OS X? Kind of like Download Helper for Firefox captures FLV, MP4, MP3, etc... and saves it to your hard drive.

View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I bought an hdm cord and adapter so it would fit into my MacBook Air. I also bought a separate speaker system. When I set it up, it worked perfectly. I had to disconnect my MacBook and when I set everything up, it did not work. I could see my MacBook's background colors on the TV, but the video would not stream. I could see it on my computer, but not on the TV.

So, at the moment I'm torn between the Rev B 1.86 SSD MBA and a fully loaded (2.4/4GB/128 SSD) MB to replace my aging MBP. As a student, my usage is light, with the caveat that I watch an awful lot of streaming video in Safari - sites like Channelsurfing, Megavideo and especially ESPN360. Am I likely to run into major fan/heat issues with this kind of usage profile, or have the revisions Apple has made to Rev B made a big enough difference to assuage my worries?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a macbook. I love it with the exception that when I stream sports, the picture and sound are clear but the picture's streaming speed isn't steady.
For instance, a watching hockey, it looks like the players are speeding up and slowing down the entire time.
Does anyone know of a driver that I can run to stop this? Maybe a different browser. I have tried firefox and safari and the problem is the same on both.
I can't seem to watch video of any duration, now. Downloaded tv show and slowed to freeze, stills, with audio going forward. I used to be able to. Watching streaming video is also similar, though have the variable of the wireless to factor in. I have one of the original airs with regular hard drive. I turn off virtually every application, but still doesn't work!
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt must be some ad blocker or something, but I can't view videos. I can't seem to find what's causing it. I can go to YouTube and watch a video, but when someone posts a link, I am unable to make it play. I'll get a site with a black rectangle where the video is supposed to be. Happens on links from tweets too. Safari and Firefox both. I tried the Flash uninstall/reinstall/disc permission/restart routine twice.

I am new to Macs (the MBA will be my first) and I was wondering if it was possible to stream video from my new MBA (OS X) through iTunes via airplay to an Apple TV and what I would need to do this. When I search all I find is how you will be able to stream through iOS 4.2 and there is not much on OS X.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Macbook Pro with 17" monitor that I use in my middle school class daily. I have it connected to an external monitor and had no problems until a student fooled with it when I hasn't looking. Now only Power Point works on the external monitor, I am not able to use the iphoto as a slide show any more, nor can I use streaming video. While both show fine on my computer the external monitor only shows my screen saver.

Watching series online on a regular screen pretty often looks ok but not great. Depending on the internet speed and the movie qualitity you can see the compression in the picture and so see the pixel. How does this look on the new retina display?Â
Has anyone of the early owner time and motivation to check and post a screenshot?
I'm essentially looking for a an adapter between mini DisplayPort and RCA connectors. I'm using a 13 inch macbook pro to a TC with only the red, white, and yellow (RCA) connectors. Unfortunately I can not find the cable anywhere online.

I'm looking into purchasing a new wireless router for our home. Basically used for basic Internet and video streaming. We are an apple family, No PC. Looked into the airport extreme but seems kinda pricey for what we need it for. Since we won't ever be gaming or running a server. Which wireless router do you use and how do you like it?
View 24 Replies View RelatedI've seen many saying that they have payback problems on youtube watching HD videos. But my problem is that the video that I'm streaming, regardless of quality, will often stop while streaming [however the audio continues], then all of a sudden the video fast forwards to catch up to the audio that it is currently playing.

It would really be great if the viewfinder mirrored to the MBP as well..
I continue to get a plug-in failure message whenever i try to watch a video. I get it on safari, Firefox, and chrome. I have tried updating my adobe flash player multiple times, but it never helps.

I have a first gen MBA. It is 1.6Ghz with 2GB of Ram. I am trying to watch the NCAA tournament on MMOD and the quality is terrible. It gets so choppy and I often have to quit Safari or Firefox and even restart the computer. It usually starts off ok but after a few minutes it becomes unwatchable.
What is wrong? I am not running anything by the OS and the browser. It isn't my internet as it makes no difference if I use wireless or ethernet and my download speeds are about 10-15Mbps. I don't have any problems watching streaming on my 5 yr old Dell.
Every time I watch a flash video in especially HD.. I get these sounds! (see video), any idea what they are?
