I got my MacBook Pro finally and I've been thinking about investing in a capture card to record gameplay from my Xbox. I've heard alot of mixed reviews on the Pinnacle for Mac, and it's also pretty expensive. So, is there a good device that can capture gameplay off of an Xbox while not forcing me to play on a computer screen?

So I am interested in getting an airport express so I can capture the wireless from my netgear router and then connect my xbox 360 to the ethernet port to use the internet... I would also like to connect my desktop PC to the ethernet port to use the internet because I use my Macbook Pro for internet use. Since my desktop doesn't have a wireless card I won't have to buy an adapter for it if i use the airport express. I also want to use the airport express to connect to my AV receiver.
Basically in my room I have a desktop PC, xbox 360, AV receiver, and a tv. The reason I ask about the requirement to have an airport extreme base station was because it seemed like most of the posts on this topic said you need to enable "Allow this network to be extended" and i don't think my netgear router has this option, but i dont see why it would need it...
In my mind I would expect the airport express to be able to connect to my wireless network after i enter in the password, and then be able to connect my xbox or pc to the ethernet port...
I don't know how to capture photos or record videos using isight camera. the software available for use isight camera.?

Yes, I did launch CamTwist before iMovie, but it doesn't show up in the camera drop down.

I have a camera with RCA style jacks for power, audio and video. The red RCA jack is used for power, and has its own power supply. Yellow and white RCA jacks provide video and sound, and which I connect to my VCR Input jacks.
I would like to capture the camera's output into my computer.
Do you have a recommended product for this, or link to read about my options. My computer is not new, which may be a complication. But I have a couple of empty bays.
I have searched some forums, but most of what I find is VHS to DVD conversion, which might not be what I am after.
I have a New MacBook laptop computer with 2GB of RAM. For my PC I have Dazzle Digital Video Creator 150 to take old VHS video's from our old VHS camcorder etc. and put them on DVD to preserve memories. I was looking at apple.com and looked at eye tv and Plextor ConvertX PVR but the review says it isn't capatable with intel Macs. I am looking for one that includes software as well.

I have deleted the photos off my camera manually and wanted to change it to shoot in RAW but then when i connected it back up to upload using 'Image Capture', the old image files show up as missing, and the new ones not at all so i changed back to jpeg format, but the problem wont go away
it seems like its saved the old image info in a cache or something can i wipe it clean and start over some way?
i was trying to get a screen capture of an issue with itunes when previewing tv shows/movies..etc but it appears you can no longer take screen caps of iTunes movies/tv shows (well ones you didnt import yourself).... or is there a work around?

Right now my NAT is set to moderate and I am trying to open it. I've tried opening ports but there are so many IPs/computers in the network settings I feel like it might be interfering. Another thing is that I manually set my ethernet ip to 10.0.0.1 and my xboxs ip to 10.0.0.2. This is obviously not one of my ISPs IP adresses so should I change it to one that is in the DNS range?
First I don't know where this kind of topic belongs, but I'm new here as you can see, and I just would like to receive help for this problem of mine. Alright, I get very confused when it comes to stuff like networking and I'm trying to get Xbox Live working by using my Verizon Wireless 5GB card plugged into my laptop and then connecting that with a ethernet cable into a port on the Xbox. Alright, here goes my last two weeks. Two Sundays ago I was playing football with a couple friends. The game ended abruptly when I broke my leg and went to the hospital, but thats not the bad part. I was in the hospital for 6 hours and when I got home I found that someone had broken in and stolen my 32" Vizio flatscreen TV, xbox 360 elite, DVD player, and most importantly my 15" Macbook Pro. I called the police immediately and they came out and did the standard police thing, but as I've been in contact with them lately, they say they have no leads and I'm not going to get my stuff back, bottom line. Now I'm left with no computer to work with and worst of all, I know I'll never get the things back that were important to me on that computer. I had pictures on it from when I was 10 years old and I'll never see them again. I worked really hard to save the money to buy those things and they are all gone in an instant. I just can't believe it. I have no one else to turn to and I just don't know what else I can do. I'm getting married soon and I can't afford to go buy a new laptop, to be honest at this point that's all I care about as far as what was stolen. If anyone knows any way to track a laptop or xbox 360 it would be appreciated. I know its a long shot.

I've tried using the USB cable that came with the camera itself, as well as a USB card reader. iPhoto, and the laptop itself does not recognize the card, or that there is any device mounted at all. I've been looking around the internet for a solution to this problem. I'm currently in an apartment with a single wired connection running to my Macbook Pro, i haven't got time to buy a switch or router right now and i've been trying to connect my 360 to the internet using Airport. All of the how-to's i've found so far concern connecting the 360 and Macbook via Ethernet rather than Airport, and while i've tried to follow the steps as best as i can i haven't been able to connect to xbox live.

I used the xbox live vision cam with my PC laptop, but I got rid of it and only have the macbook now. Ive tried just plugging it in and I dont know how to access it.
