i do not feel safe using my macbook charger no more after reading the topics

Does the Macbook 2.0ghz alum one have this issues and whats the best why to help stop this from happening. I have not put my macbook on the charger after reading this i am really scared.

So today, when I came home.
I go to charge my MBP.
I noticed that there is some black stuff inside the MagSafe port so I try cleaning it out. [I had to use a paperclip to remove some of it.]
Some of it won't come out.
But is something wrong with my MagSafe charger?
And can this lead to some fire or something?
macbook pro charger is not working? I have tried other chargers on my macbook pro ,but no luck. so im not sure if it is the charger the the computer it's self.

I was wondering if any of you with the New Aluminum Macbooks feel any sort of vibrations from the hdd, or the fans. Especially, do you feel it near the trackpad, on the lower half of the computer?
View 24 Replies View RelatedAnyways, at the moment my mac is around 6 months old and just recently I am noticing that the fan is starting to vibrate- like when I type on the mac with my palms rested on the computer I can feel the vibrations. Now it is subtle but was not there before. As I am typing this the fan is at 2000 rpm. Also, when I am not out with the computer. I hook it up to my 23 inch monitor and a portable keyboard. Now when I do this I can hear a very loud noise coming form the computer while using it as a desktop. Almost as it its straining to use it. Its not so much a violent noise as it is that the fan seems to be over working.
I dont know if I am getting paranoid or if this is a serious problem- I have a 3 year warranty from bestbuy. The small vibrations I can feel form the computer seem to be like a small issue- however my friend beside me with the same model- her mac is silent and doesn't vibrate subtly. However, I am more worried about the louder noise it makes when I hook it up at work. Like when i put the computer to sleep I can tell a substantial noise different in terms of it going silent after I put it to sleep.
I noticed from the start that there is a noticeable noise to it, not loud. But noticeable. I can feel some vibration under both my hands when typing. I have used one of my friends white mabcbook and this does not have any such noise to it. I did opt for the 7200 RPM HD and now my question is is the sound coming from the HD or the fans? The sound has been on constantly since I first turned it on. Downloaded SMC Fancontrol and it's showing 2000 RPM on both fans, but that's normal isn't it?So is there anything I can do? Is this normal or did I get unlucky?

Now it isn't my first time playing with hardware so braking something isn't and issue.. but from what I'm reading is that it's "seals" all throughout the laptop so if I removed anything.

I have a 13" Late 2008 Al. Macbook, and something strange just happened. I was typing in Pages, when I started to hear and feel something clicking underneath my right palm. I recognized this as the hard drive, so I immediately shut down the computer. Tried restarting and heard the clicking again, so I held down the power button and force shut it down before it fully started up. Turned it around, removed the battery for a couple of seconds, then replaced it. Started up again, and the clicking disappeared; all my files are here as they were left.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have broken my Macbook screen it was either glasses cleaner (I use this to clean the screen) or I accidently flipped my Macbook over for no reason and I guess the force of when it flipped over back onto my bed might of caused it to. I'm really annoyed about this and it's not even my Macbook it's my friends. I am fine to pay $$$ to get this fixed as that is not really a problem for me tbh (When I get paid) but I was post up some photos and if you give me some advise on what it could be and how it could be fixed then I will be very pleased. (From the photos you will be able to see that the damage only appears when the laptop is switched on and when I touch the screen it does not feel cracked but if you look directly down on it then it looks like their is a separate layer, like from where the broken bit of the screen is and the working bit is.)

The Apple one looks tempting as it comes with 6 batteries and 29€ isn't too much, plus, as usual, it looks brilliant. I looked at some 3rd party chargers as well ranging from 20€ to 40€. None of them was stunning or special by any means. Cheaper ones usually came with two or four batteries and some came without batteries. I don't really need it for else than Magic Mouse, occasionally for something else too.

nothing has corroded (yet) but the magsafe itself feels extremely hot to touch after 30mins or so of use.
