I need a new charger for my c2d macbook. I'm wondering what peoples experiences with non-oem chargers are? A new one from apple is $80, whereas I can pick one up for $18 shipped on ebay.

I have a 13" MBP and am looking for a slight elevator to let air get under the notebook. I do not want a stand with actual fans / coolers that plug into your notebook and use battery. I'm just looking for a simple, glorified phonebook to stick under the MBP
Is it better to keep the charger in after a completely charged or pull out the charger. Basically I'm wondering if the power is pulled from the UPS after the battery is completely charged or is it still constantly charging the battery.

How did you guys get the issue resolved? Return and replace? HDD replacement at authorized repair location? Give up? Did it even get resolved?
So from what I can read, it seems the Seagate drive is the hungry one? Is the Western Digital any better? Or is the consensus that the 2TB one is better?
I personally don't think there is anything wrong (as in malfunctioning) with my machine...its just the rumbling noise is kinda irritating. I know my case is clear cut in my mind too...cause even before I read this forum, the first few times I heard mine I actually thought it was MY stomach growling. Then I came and read the threads and saw what was going on.
So, can it be fixed? For me to go through the hassle, I need to know that something other than simple exchange can be done to remedy...cause I personally think that will not do anything. I would be willing to bet and exchange (all things being equal) would do the same thing.
I currently use a number of Airport Express's to stream my itunes music content around my house.Is there a general consensus over wether Apple will ever add the function to itunes to allow different tracks/songs to be played on the express's at the same time?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe Apple one looks tempting as it comes with 6 batteries and 29€ isn't too much, plus, as usual, it looks brilliant. I looked at some 3rd party chargers as well ranging from 20€ to 40€. None of them was stunning or special by any means. Cheaper ones usually came with two or four batteries and some came without batteries. I don't really need it for else than Magic Mouse, occasionally for something else too.

nothing has corroded (yet) but the magsafe itself feels extremely hot to touch after 30mins or so of use.
is this normal or is it time i give Apple a call?

I had noticed it getting unusually warm, more so than usual. I've got a 17" MBP which I use each day on the commute from home to work. But by midday the battery is prett y flat. I don't work out of a single office so i can't really charge my battery up, so I've bought a spare. On the way home, swap out the battery and get working again. But the problem is charging them both up at home.
Does anyone know of an external battery charger for the MBP 17" batteries?
I bought this Late 2007 macbook off of craigslist, and it was working perfectly. But after a little water got mon my macbook and charger, I plugged it in and it had a bright green light and wouldn't charge. The Next day I plugged it in and it only had a dim green light, it wouldn't Start up without the battery, or run without it. Now all I need is the battery in it to start it up and it will run off of the charger, But it still has that dim green light. The charger is a little Damaged, Photo's In the attachments. My dog chewed on it a while back. This is my first macbook, And the dvd drive is not working, but I have managed to reinstall SL with USB, So it is not a software problem.

Weird thing though is that my old charger did the same thing at the end (although if you jiggled the connection it worked)? Could it be my computer? Although I tested the charger on another computer and it didn't work either. and a different charger on my computer worked.
Is this common for the new chargers that there are lemons once in a while?
Could it be because I left the plastic over the charger to prevent scratches?
Will apple exchange it for a new one or are they gonna give me a problem cause I really don't think this should have happened.
