I took notes on my computer for my classes and annotated on the side. When I print it just prints as the actual slides I am annotating from with no annotations. How do I print with the annotations as well?

I use Preview to read pdf files for my study, and use the annotations because they are great and versatile. But I just noticed that some old ones have started to fade! Since I'm not interessted in them disappearing before the exam, how can I stop them from fading/changing color? Will they ever fade to the point where I can't read them anymore?Â
I did a lot of annotations on a really long PDF file... accidentally closed it without saving... stupid slip of finger... i'm guessing it's impossible to recover??????? Btw it was on preview
Prior to learning how to use the 'watermark' tool in Aperture, I used the Annotations Option in Preview on Maverick OS. How to remove the annotation on my photos? I am finding information on removing them from PDF's but not from photos. Â

I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â
I frequently use Preview to annotate PDFs and screen shots, and every time I add a text box annotation it is formatted to center the text in the box. Is there any way to change that so that text is aligned with the left side of the box?
I would like to change the default text substitution settings for my annotations in Preview. Specifically, I want to disable smart quotation substitutions in my notes. I often copy-paste them into Word files, and I want them free of this reformatting. I know how to disable quotation mark substitution in a given pdf, but I would really like to disable this feature for all pdfs by default.

I'm a student and I have to go through massive amounts of text each day or at least I ought to do so. Printing everything out isn't really an alternative and time-consuming as well. With Skim I can highlight selected text areas and make annotations. Unfortunately, I can't switch efficiently between highlight colors and the saved changes are only legible with this specific app.
I have had difficulty in attaching my HP Photosmart C5580 printer to my new MacBookPro (OSX 10.6) through my Netgear WGPS606 print server. After much searching I found previous posts here which advised me to add the Gutenprint driver 5.2.6 which I did. That finally DID successfully attach the printer through the server.
However, there is a lag of many seconds (sometimes minutes) between the SEND command and the starting of the printer. Is this the new normal that I need to expect or is there a fix?
Is there a way to force Safari to print what I see on a webpage, and not default to the print style? I'm trying to print a graphically-rich site and the print.css doesn't cut it, making everything look like trash (unformatted text, etc.).
When I print multiple checks they print in the wrong sequence. If I have checks 401, 402 and 403 in the printer in that order, they print 403, 402 and 401. How can I change this to print not collated?
I'm trying to print an Excel 2004 .xls spreadsheet file where I'm using to record attendance for the class I teach.I have my main Column A with Rows A-X and it shows up fine, I imagine because there is content in the boxes.
But I also have Columns B-L and rows A-X with nothing in their cells, but when I print it, they won't print.I need these blank because I'll check them off if the child in the first column attended the lesson. How do I make it so my many blank cells will print as well?
I'm new to Mac OS X, but have been working with Linux for almost 9 yrs now. I have set up a Linux box with CUPS 1.3.9. I can print from the server, and from other Linux stations to that remote server. However, I can't print from a client MacBook.
I set up CUPS on the client Mac via http://localhost:631 and created a printer associated with the remote queue / printer on Linux (the URL I use on OS X is http://mylinuxserver:631/printers/hpprinter and the driver is RAW).
I have no problems sending a test page from the CUPS web interface on Mac OS X to the Linux server -- the test page gets printed OK. However, I can't see the printer I just defined from other Mac OS X apps, and neither can I see it from the Add Printer Dialog on System Preferences (it's empty).
I tried creating the printer at the Add Printer dialog, but it would neither let me specify an HTTP URL (as far as I know, I had to use the IP icon on the toolbar) nor specify "RAW". So I tried creating a "dummy" printer in the Add Printer dialog, with a basic config, and then changing it from the CUPS web GUI. This didn't work either, since when I went back to the Add Printer dialog, the printer was gone.

I'm using a MacBook, Mac OS 10.5.8. I've downloaded the driver for HP LaserJet m1319f MFP and the printer worked fine when I connect it directly to my MacBook (using USB connection). The problem is that printer is supposed to be connected to our office network users through a TP-Link Print Server (TL-PS110U). I've tried to use AppleTalk to connect to that print server but my MacBook only recognized that HP printer as a HP Fax machine and I can't print anything.
The Excel program I'm trying to print Excel 2008, Microsoft Office 2008, identifies the problem as a 'driver' issu and thus will not print the spreadsheets.
i'm trying to print some stuff off using adobe and some parts are printing, but some aren't. I've had this problem before i would print of some formula sheets for my finance class and basically if it wasn't a letter it wouldn't print it off but now it's taking out a lot more.
in the first picture you can see how i went through and wrote the stuff in, wasn't that big of a deal.
second picture is one page from the file that printed out fine
third picture, the entire top part is supposed to have a paragraph on it.
Is there any thing available that will allow me to print to a PDF file? I'm trying to export something to a PDF file that does not have the feature as standard. I know it can be done in Windows as there are a few Print to PDF applications. but I can't find a Mac one.
My MB 10.7.5 will not print to with either one of my Epson printers, inkjet photo printer 4800, and all in one Workforce 545.
After I send it to the printer the printer window just idles saying that its "sending data to the printer", does the same with both printers. Ive let them idle for plenty of time.
I followed all the advise I read by resetting the printer drives, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted everything many times and still getting the same results.
I don't think it has anything to do with Epson. Should I upgrade to OS 8?

I have a Kodak ESP-3 connected via USB to my Desktop with Windows 7 on it. I've enabled sharing on my printer, and my roommates can print off my printer no problem at all. When I tried to connect my mac to the printer, I'm at a loss. One guide I found told me to go to Applications > Utilities > The printer option (I can't remember what its called). The printing option isn't listed under utilities, or I'm passing over it. I went to system preferences and selected the printer, but my Kodak isn't coming up. I've enabled sharing on my mac, and same thing. I don't expect my Mac and Win machine to play nice together, but I'm hoping that at the very least I'll be able to print from my mac with out having to keep constantly unplugging my printer from my desktop. My roommate just bought a new router a few weeks ago, but failed to get one capable of network printing, so picking up a new router is out of the question right now....
I have Final Cut Express 4 on my recently purchased Mac book. I shoot with a Canon GL-2. I can import my footage into FCE-4 and edit and burn DVDs with no problem, but I can't print to video or play back my edited footage through my GL-2.
I have a macbook air. It is an awesome laptop but when i print it prints in black and white. It used to print in colour but now it doesnt. I might of accidently clicked something. I checked and it prints in colour from my other computer (but that doesnt have the right software to print off pages and word 2011).
