MacBook :: How To Play Short Videos In Sequence With QuickTime
Nov 30, 2014
I've got a stack (about 10-12) of short videos that I want to play with Quick Time over HDMI on my wide screen tv. Is there a way of starting the first of the series and expecting it to play them all in sequence?Â
Info:
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
I have several HD videos from my Sony NEX-3 camera that will not play very well from within iMovie. They freeze up, or run in slow motion while the sound track continues without any problem. I've seen other related comments on this forum, but no one has suggested a fix yet. I can play my clips just fine from the finder menu using "Quick Look". Other videos from the same camera work, what has changed?
Info: Quicktime, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Quicktime Version 7.7, iPhoto 7.1.5
I have the latest leopard, safari and quicktime software and the problem is that I cant play quicktime videos in safari. It works perfectly in Firefox... I erased and installed those apps again and still no sucess. What do you guys think the problem is?
Have installed Firefox 10.0.2 in my iMac (2.93 Ghz Core i7) using OS 10.6.8.Firefox will not paly any Quicktime videos and asks that Quicktime plugin be installed. Quicktime plug in is not listed in the list of available Firefox add-ons.I do notice in my Library in the Internet Plug-ins folder a Firefox_Quicktime plug-in seems to be listed. When I try to choose it from the drop down list: Install Add-on from File the Firefox add-on is gray and unavailable.I like using Firefox but not being able to see Quicktime videos is irksome. Any clue as to what is wrong and how I can fix it. I have searched the archives and see others have had this problem but other than deinstalling and hoping a reinstall works is there any other remedy.
I'm using 10.7.3. iTunes 10.6. MacBook Pro 2.6Ghz 4GB ram. ITunes won't play my video anymore and it's been a while I'm not sure when it occurred if it's after an update to snow leopard or iTunes updates. When I double click a video I get "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes."? And cannot convert the option doesn't work I get this other message when trying to convert a version for APPLE TV in advanced menu "None of the selected files were converted because they could not be found."?
But the movies are quicktime movies in my library and the MPEG-4 plays in iTunes but not on APPLE TV. From all my videos I get one only going through APPLE TV and when I try opening it it says error occured why opening and never works? It seems APPLE is regularly messing things up in updates to loose people so they have to pay for tech support, I didn't upgrade to iPhoto 11 and cannot import anything anymore into it so my entire library is a dead one; not a cool way to do business than messing people software so they have to buy newer versions!
I've just tried DivX for Mac [URL] but found out that it doesn't support .srt subtitles. I'm already using Flip4Mac for .wmv files, but I'm looking for a codec pack to play all other codecs like Divx, Xvid, H.264 with subtitles support for .sub and .srt files. I know that Perian is a good one, but is there anyone better?
Perhaps there is no relation, but ever since the iTunes update it has become impossible to play QT videos correctly in full-screen mode in Safari. It occurs in Mac OS X and Windows 7.
I'm trying to make a sequnce of stills into a time-lapse video.Someone on the FCP forum told me to use Quicktime to open the sequence and save it as a Pro Res video. But Quicktime won't let me open the jpegs.
Info: Final Cut Pro X, Mac OS X (10.7), want them to import as single frame
I am running XSI lion 10.7.4 and have a default QT installed. I am not able to open a sequence of images and save out to a mov file. There seems to be no menu selection anymore. Â
I am trying to transfer some pics and short videos from my camera. When I plug in the memory card with the card reader into the USB nothing happens. I cannot find what tab on this computer to get downloads started.
Specs: IOS 10.6.8 Processor 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 -- Everything is edited, sourced, and stored on an 2TB external hard drive to make things go faster. Editing with FCP 7Â
When I export the sequence I edited with quicktime, the playback video is very different from what I edited on the timeline. The playback has the clips with ins and outs that are way off than what I cut, and some of the clips don't show at all or have changed transitions. However when I play in the timeline in FCP, the sequence is fine, just the way I cut it.
The source of the clips was one long .mov that I cut into clips for the timeline. Everything has gone smoothly but the exported .mov is just so different. How can I get the time codes of the clips to be the same in the exported .movs? I just want the quicktime .mov to represent my edit exactly. can I play within the FCP player window and Log and Capture? Â
I've recently upgraded to Lion and have found that Quicktime movies and embedded Flash movies won't work. With the embedded flash all I get is a black box, and with quicktime movies, such as the ones on the Apple website, I get nothing - the irony of not being able to watch movies on the Apple site with my Apple iMac gives me a little chuckle. Anyways ....... I've been reading thread after thread and trying lots of different things but nothing works. I've got this feeling inside that says it's something simple but just can't seem to find it.
Youtube videos won't play properly on my imac (I have OS X version 10.5.8). The video plays only for a few short seconds and stops for about 90 seconds and then repeats the process .
Firefox 9 for Mac cannot play quicktime content on a Lion 7.3 system.Firefox displays a message that a plugin for quicktime is needed, but cannot find one.
Any type of video that I attempt to watch will freeze. The video will start but freeze about 10 seconds into it. My Macbook also gets extremly hot whenever it needs to load something.
My macbook air is running on OS X 10.9.5, with i5 processor, and for some unknown reason will not play videos, like short tutorial videos or demo videos for online shopping site. The enable plug-ins is on.
my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 I have never had an issue with anything until now. In the past couple days I noticed that I was not able to watch any videos. This includes videos from YouTube, Netflix and even iTunes movies. I have confirmed that I have the most recent versions of Adobe Flash and Silverlight. Is there a setting that could have initiated this kind of behavior or should I visit the local Apple Store?
Videos won't load or even pictures of the videos. I have tried updating Safari, Uninstalling Adobe Flash Player and Re installing. I have also tried loading Safari in 32 bit form and nothing has worked..Its pretty annoying I have to go to FireFox to load videos.Â
