Has anyone found a keyboard protector that works with the new 13" MacBook Air? I know that Marware makes them for the earlier version, but I don't know if it will work with the newer MacBook Airs.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI've been using a Moshi ClearGuard KB protector for a while but haven't been happy with the fact that it gets cloudy over time and requires frequent cleaning to restore. I bought the Marware keyboard protector shown here because it looks nice and shouldn't have the same issue with clouding. My only issue with it is that it doesn't fit properly over the enter and shift keys, so the wording on the protector itself is not lined up with the wording on the key below. Does anyone else own this protector? Does yours have the same issue? I'm trying to figure out whether mine is defective or if it's a design flaw.

The only ones I can find in the store are part of a 30 dollar set that contains a bunch of stuff I don't want/need. Anybody know a good place to get one of these?

Is it possible to find one of those without the other stuffs that are coming with it? I was also interested about the moshi palm rest but protect only the palm rest area.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnybody who have an ant-glare display on the unibody MBPs (15" or 17") and also have the Moshi Clearguard Keyboard protector? My concern is that since there is no glass covering the anti-glard display, it is a little more delicate. Over time, it is inevitable that grease and oil stains will get transferred from my fingers to the Moshi Clearguard (fine I'm not worried about that). What I'm worried about is when I close the lid of my MBP with anti-glare display, will the LCD screen actually touch the Clearguard, and thus, transfer grease and oil onto the LCD screen?

I was just handed down an old imac g3 400mhz desktop that doesn't power at all.When hitting the power button on the unit or keyboard, the units screen makes a noise. No hard drive or green light comes on at all. At dead silence in the room, i can hear the screen flicker, like a tv would come on. I went to go about and read a few problems before, replaced the battery and even tried a new power cord. Any Ideas?

On the old model I thought the light came on when you pressed a key on the keyboard. But on the new model the light only comes on when you press a key AND you are in a dark room..

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy computer will start running really slowly and then the keyboard stops working, then after 30 seconds or so I lose the ability to click but the mouse still moves. Command-option-esc for force quit still works some of the time though but refreshing everything from there doesn't help. After I reboot everything goes back to normal. This has happened every other day or so for about a week.

Just as of 20 minutes ago, I was able to type, but then for no reason, my computer can't type. The strange thing is that when I use the control click, use the mouse, or use the f keys, it works just fine. I used onyx to clean my computer, which didn't work. I restarted my computer, which didn't work, and I tried to go into the Keyboard/Mouse panel, but then System Preferences quit for no reason.

The mouse works fine but the keys don't work at all [I'm using keyboard viewer to type now]. I plugged my 60gb external hard drive into it a few times this week, could that have something to do with it. I just plugged my keyboard in and it 'pushed buttons' on it's own. it held down the command keys, arrow keys, f12, etc.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI have been using this keyboard shortcut which is Command-Shift-L for bullets in Outlook, Notes and almost any word processing applications. All of a sudden this seems to have gone and now replaced by a Google Search. I tried researching a lot on the internet and found many articles which confirmed that this was indeed a keyboard shortcut but I couldnt find even one which could tell me what happened to it and how to make it work again. I've got so used to this shortcut because my work involves mainly around drafting emails and documents.
I have Macbook Pro Retina 13inch 2013 model & running Mac OSX 10.9.4 OS.
Now I did find one website link which told me how to disable the Safari trigger for this shortcut and I was successful in removing that shortcut. But I am stuck at the point where it's just blank. So now when I press these keys, nothing happens because no shortcut is set to it.
I've already gone through many links which say create paragraphs, some links also say that Option + 8 key works for the bullets but that doesnt work for me either. However, I dont want that too. I would want the original shortcut which was there and how to get it back or even configure it back to the way it was.

For no apparent reason the command-space keyboard shortcut no longer works for opening Spotlight. I go into the preferences for Spotlight and it shows no keyboard shortcut, I make it command-space again, exit, and it still doesn't work. If I go back into the preferences, it is blank again. What is going on?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed a Seagate 500gb, 7200rpm hard drive in my 13" MBP that was updated to EFI Firmware Update 1.7. Clean install of OS X and iLife '09 & iWork '09 went fast. It's quite and fast compared to my old Samsung 500gb, 5400rpm hard drive. It was worth the $120 I spent on it!

Like two months ago, my MBP started to work really slow when not plugged to electricity, but as soon as I plug it in, my MBP works perfectly. I already sent it to apple for they to fix it, but they solved other issued except for that one. Please, any idea what could it be.

It had an SSD rev C will that work in a base refurb rev b or does it look like the rev D will support the same 1.8 hard drive? I can hold out a while on a G3 but I hope they update soon! My MacBook receives a lot of use. When I leave it open, the screen frequently catches dust and is prone to smudges. I tend to clean it a few times every couple of weeks. I try to keep my machine in top condition, so I'm looking at some stuff to keep my screen protected (and cleaner) to make things easier.
I'd like some takes on this iKlear product, and this Power Support film. I believe I have one of those Power Support films for my iPod, and it does the job. Bit hard to attach though, and I wonder if it will work as well on my MacBook's screen. I guess my question is if these products will solve the problem. If anyone has used these before, are these products a good bet?

This is my 4th shaggymac screen protector and for those who are interested, i believe these are better cut because they are designed for macbook air. They are thinner than the macbooks, macbook pros at 0.6mm instead of 0.8mm like the others. I have done my research and marware has these as well, but the cost of these are a few dollars cheaper but they only come in one color gray. But the fit is just right and the screen is protected.
I would give them a look for your screen protector needs!
