Mac Mini :: Using Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 Hard Disc No Mic?

I got the mini a few weeks ago and have been struggling to make the Pro 9000 HD work properly on it.
The camera always works. The problem is the mic which works only intermittently one out of ten times maybe.
I did some googling and found other people having similar issues.
So, I reckon this webcam just doesn't work properly with mini.
However, I found that it always works after reseting PRAM. I don't want to do that everytime I power on the mini (not sure if that would do any physicial damage to the ram either).

I have a mini i7 with a Logitech HD Pro webcam. The person at the other end gets a bad echo of themselves when video chatting. The issue is on my side, not theirs. Tried face time and google talk. Even tried two different web cams. My wife's iMac has a check box to "use ambient noise reduction" my mac mini doesn't have that option. How can I fix this. Surly there are mac mini owners using webcams?

I note that Logitech are marketing their Vision Pro webcam as "for Mac", and yet from what I've seen of the specs, it's just a QuickCam Pro 9000 with a different colour activity light - and of course, the QCP 9000 works on a Mac just like any other UVC-compliant webcam. Is there actually any substantive difference between the cameras, or is it really just a marketing exercise?

I juust was given a nice Logitech web cam for my Power Mac G4 and found out it doesn't work. I have a drivers disk but it's only for Windows. Anyone know how to get it to work?

I'm trying to decide to get this webcam "Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision Pro". But, I'm wondering if it will work under windows if I install boot camp or parallels 4. Why this statement, is because since it is only compatible with Mac will it work only under the Mac OS. So if anybody has it and works in both OS's it will be kind of you to let me know before I jump and buy it.

I need a webcam for my Mac Pro. I'm currently running Leopard but plan to upgrade to Snow Leopard soon. I'm looking at the Logitech Quickcam Vision Pro, but I've read reviews that say it works well in applications like iChat and Skype, but isn't recognized as a webcam by Adobe Flash Player for use on Flash chat websites like [URL] and [URL]. I really need a webcam that is recognized and compatible with Flash Player. Can anyone with a Logitech Quickcam Vision Pro confirm whether it works through Flash player on sites like tinychat or stickam? On websites that use flash player for video chat I just can't send my video stream trough my external usb Ligitech webcam.
The situation is: when opening the Adobe Flash Player settings menu-video-select I tend to send webcam video I only have the option of sending trough the "USB video class video": the isight built-in webcam of my MacBook and don't have my Logitech webcam on the list.
The fact is: I have an external usb webcam (Logitech and works with mac) and the Flash Player video options don't allow me to choose the Logitech webcam instead of the iSight buil-in webcam.
Do you have or know any solution/add on/software to my problem? I'm getting crazy with that! I just wanna tell to my MacBook to run always the Logitech webcam instead of the iSigth built-in webcam when I'm on websites that use Flash Player for video chat.

Everytime I try and use the "Mini Boombox", there is always an issue and a complete waste of time setting up. It seems I have to pair every single time, turn on and off a few times and only then will the boombox sometimes work. I'm not sure if I have a bad unit or my setting are incorrect.I keep my BB plugged in all the time therefore is always fully charged.Do we really need to pair every single time we turn on and off computer and/or Boombox?

I have a 2009 Mac Mini, which does not have a webcam. I don't need an expensive one, but I'd like to stick a basic one on there for iChat, etc.
I see webcams in the various stores for $25 or $30, which seem like they'd do the trick, but the boxes always say they're for Windows systems only.
I'm assuming that means the software that comes with them. But if I buy any old Microsoft or HP web cam and just plug it in, will the Mini see it and understand it?

I am so frustrated! This is the fourth webcam I've tried. I have downloaded drivers and nothing ever works.
This is the GearHead Quick 8.0 MP Auto Focus Webcam. I put in the cd and it came up with the Webcam Driver. One says setup.exe and one says autorun.inf Obviously the .exe didn't work and the autorun.inf pulled up text edit. I tried to go on the website and download the driver and it gives me the same things. I just don't know what to do!!

I just got a Mac mini and I really love OS X. One thing that I really want to get though is a webcam. I really liked having it on my HP laptop. I don't need the most expensive cam ever, but I don't want something that is gonna look really bad (while my friend's MacBook Pro has good iSight video quality). My webcam wont work with my Mac mini, I have a Sogatel USB 2.0 webcam, when I connect to the mac mini it wont work. Ive looked at the actualy USB in system perferences and the webcam is recognised as being plugged in. However when i try to use it with any applications it doesnt work.

I do have a copy of the the Mac Mini SL Client software but I don't have another Mac to create the USB restore disc in order to load the client on the Mini Server via usb drive. I don't intend to use the Server Software and don't want to 'activate' the license so I can resell it instead. Can I just use the Server to create the bootable restore disc without 'activating' the Server License and locking it to my serial number? Or is there another way to create the restore disc if you don't have access to another Mac to run disc utility?

I recently obtained a Mini which I've connected to my TV for watching movies/etc. I don't have a keyboard or mouse on the Mini.I ripped a disc the other night (via a remote connection) and realized that I don't know how to eject the disc from the Mini without a keyboard, mouse, or remote connection from my MBP. I suppose there is probably some way to script MTR and then execute a disktool afterwards but what if I'm just watching a disc and want to eject it?

I have an Intel core duo mini running Lion and I tried to install the OpdiTracker for the Imation Disc Stakka but it won't install because the software was made for PowerPC products. Where do I get the correct version? It looks like the Opditracker site hasn't been updated in years.
