Aug 24, 2014I have about 150 contacts that I want to export as individual vCard files. Is there a way to export them like this in one go? i.e. select 150 contacts in the contacts app, select export, press some other key ( perhaps Option ) and have it create 150 cards.

I have not touched WINDOWS in 9 years so please don't suggest anything that has anything to do with Windows. I am a MAC user.
Being forced to use OFFICE in this Word/Excel/powerpoint world I attempted to do something through Entourage.
After I wasted an hour with that, I posted this on this forum.
If anyone knows of any program that will allow you to create an address list so a MAC user who has created vCARDS in address book can share with Excel users, let me know.

Apr 7, 2012So I was using Boot Camp assistant to install windows. Everything went smooth until windows crashed. Said it was missing a file, blah blah. My brother had just handed me his W7 Ultimate (instead of home which I just installed) so I figured I'd just reinstall Windows completely. Went back into Boot Camp assistant and accidently clicked "Erase disk and create a single partition for Windows."
I have lost all my pics and music that were stored on there, backed up so thats not a big deal. But how can I reformat that drive to be used by my mac again?
The "Restore disk to a single Mac OS partition" is grayed out.

Feb 24, 2012I have an iMac (2009 acquired) 3.06GHZ - Mac OSX 10.6.8 - 4GB mem.
I am experience CD/DVD drive problem with some CDs with photos: The drive starts accessing the disk
but at some point (say, midway through a 300 pic cd) seems to stop recognizing the presence of photos on the disk.
At that point, Preview cannot access such "unrecognized" photos and Icon vew does not show such "unrecognixed" photos. It is as if the drive is not able to explore the entire disk.
Same seems to happen when I write to a blank DVD disk: some material ends up not being written to disk.Â

Apr 27, 2012I was trying to do some tasks in Windows 7 in VMWare fusion and it was a little laggy, so I shut down the VM and restarted my mac. It took a little longer to restart than I'm used to, but when it came back on 99% of my main hard drive is now gone. All my bookmarks in safari, user accounts, most preferences are still here but all files are gone. How could this have happened and is there any way it can be reverted without a time machine back up? It's a mid 2010 21" iMac i3 8GB ram with Lion installed all newest updates have been done prior to this happening. I don't even know what to do, so much has been lost.

I have read various comments on forums about exporting mailboxes, sometimes there is mention of choose Export Mail but there has also been advice to copy the mailboxes to a usb then transfer to another computer.
I definitely don't have an Export Mail option available.. only Import and Copy. I would like Export tho .
IMac (Intel) :: Grey Green Tint Over Entire Display / Early 2009 24 Inch

Working in Excel today, I was highlighting groups of cells with color when the entire screen suddenly had a pale grey-green tint. Can still see colors beneath, but everything tinted (not just the Excel window, but the entire display). White, of course, is most dramatic. The Dell monitor beside it is fine.Â
I've recalibrated color a half dozen times (have always had to do that to get the Dell and iMac screens as similar as possible). It's impossible to get white on the Mac. Rebooted several times, including hard boot, zapped the PRam, ran Permissions Repair and Disk Repair from the startup CD. Installed Temperature Monitor to see if there's a heat problem, but I could not find normal temp values anywhere on the Web, so that was something of a bust. Temps attached below in case there's an educated set of eyes out there....Â
Ran some online tests, too, for color distortion, dead pixels, that kind of thing, but nothing reveled.Â
I've been all over the Web looking for some guidelines, but most posts at apple and elsewhere seem to focus on later-model iMacs with the yellow lower screen problem when new (It's not that) or panic screens of wild colors, stripes, and the like. This is just a grey-green tint that covers the entire screen, rendering whites grey-green and colors muddy.

Jan 16, 2010So i've recently gotten in the uploading to YouTube craze with my Flip Mino HD but i'm not too happy at the way i've been doing this and am hoping there is an easier way.
As of late i've been importing what i film into iMovie. In iMovie i'll edit the video to my liking. In iMovie i'll "export" to the media browser so it'll show up in GarageBand. Then i'll open GarageBand and edit my film further, dealing with sound; adding music. After that i'll export it as a .MOV to my desktop. Then i'll open iMovie again and import that .MOV file and from there in iMovie will have it upload to YouTube in its original HD format.

Jun 28, 2012I have previously used the GRAB utility to take a snapshot of an open Safari windiw, and the snapshot included the entire windiw contents. When I opened the snapshot in Preview, I could scroll up and down and view the entire contents of the original Safari windiw. Then, I tried it again a few hours later on a different Safari window, but I then got only the part of the windiw that was visible in the browser at the time that I GRABbed the window (i.e., when I took the snapshot).What do I need to do to get the entire windiw?
