Intel Mac :: Storage Error - Memory Run Out Of Space
Jun 22, 2012My iMac displays a message that says the memory run out of space and this do not allow me to work with some of my apps. The problem is that i do not have installed data that can fill 500 GB... in the apple menu - about this mac - the storage status shown in yellow as other takes 499 GB of the space but I don't have this kind of data or it is something that I cannot see.

Dec 28, 2010I've been getting this error since last night when I try to render: Error: Out of Memory. Last night, I also installed a new 500 GB Harddrive and upgraded from Os x 10.4.11 to the Newest Snow Leopard, with iLife and iWork. I've looked at my computer's activity monitor, and there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary taking up all my memory. It could be possible I don't know what to look for too. I'm working on finishing an animation with a deadline, and without rendering.

Now, I have 6GB of RAM. I have about 400GB left on my 1TB Media drive and around 200GB left on my main hard drive. Does anyone know why my mac pro is doing this? This is happening on final cut pro 7

Dec 30, 2009I am running Final Cut Pro 7 on a MacBook with a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. I have used FCP to edit before using video from a camera that used mini DV tapes and that worked fine. I recently got the Flip Ultra HD, which records straight to MP4 with the following format: 1280x720, 30 FPS, H.264 video compression. I imported the files on my computer and then imported them into FCP. When I try to play them in the viewer I get a window that says: General Error. Then another window that says: out of memory. I have tried restarting both the computer and the program.

Sep 5, 2014I brought a 13" Macbook air late 2013 model in December last year. It has 4GB Ram and a 120GB Storage.I have a 160GB portable hard-drive which I store all my files on (Music, pictures etc) so this leads me to this question. Why do I keep getting the error message "Run out of application memory".That message pops up when I use Chrome (Only program running!!!!!!!!!! other than Finder) even if I have one page open??Â
It's also popped up before when no programs are running and causes the MacBook to freeze up resulting in me having to turn it off via the power button. I have run Disk utility and there appears to be no issues? I Googled the error message and all it brought was up people having problems with the calendar application which I do not use nor is it running?Â

Nov 9, 2008I have an iBook G4 1.33 14". The computer all the sudden wont boot anymore and the file/smiley blinks. I tried the Apple Hardware Test CD and got the Invalid Memory Access Error:%SRRO: 00032ed8 %SRR1: 0003030
I tried to boot from the startup CD and once the CD kicked in the screen froze, and other times it says the computer needs to be restated.I removed the ram under the keyboard and still got the same error. I also Zapped the PRAM, Reset the PMU and still no luck.Any suggestions? I love this Mac and currently can't go out and buy a new one.

I have recently moved from a PC laptop and have been sent email messages to this account on my iMac successfully for several weeks. The email address in question is actively sending and receiving messages. I can receive email from that account.

Jun 10, 2012My company started to use encryption software on our computers in work. They use PeeCee, I have an iMac 3.2GHz Intel. I bought a 16GB Tough N Tiny Verbatim Memory Stick.The encryption software used was TrueCrypt as you can use it both on Mac and PeeCee. Â The problem is I can see my memory stick on a PeeCee but not on my Mac. The IT is indifferent to my issue. He reformatted the stick a number of times. Says it comes up on the Mac in his workshop, however, it doesn't come up on every Mac computer in work. And more importantly it doesn't come up on my Mac. Â
I have reformatted to FAT32, reformatted to Mac, given it to the IT guyS!!, updated all software on all computers, I've used terminal to locate it, I've used Disk Utility to locate it. is it my Mac's fault (other memory sticks come up), is it my sticks fault (it did work once, and works on all PeeCee and some Macs), should I burn it and buy a new one (theres nothing of any importance on it?
