Can I rotate an image a few degrees, rather than 90? Preview does only 90 degree increments and I don't have a photo-editing program. I have MS Office for Mac, and Word has a feature called Free Rotate on the Drawing Toolbar, but it's not supported.
When I paste my customized icon to my desktop folder, there's a white background. I've tried creating a clipping path in photoshop and saving it in various formats (gif, jpeg, or pict) and to no avail, the stubborn white background just won't go away.
You must quit the following application before you continue. The installation cannot be complketed while the following software is running. I am trying to install Office MAC, What does this mean?
My iMac desktop will not stay on one program. In other words, I will open a program such as Safari or Pages, and after it loads, the program acts as though I have clicked on some other screen space. So I have to take my mouse and click on the program to begin typing but the process repeats. I think its about every 15 seconds I have to constantly use the mouse to click on the program so I can continue typing. I haven't downloaded anything recently and I have no idea how to fix this, sort of rebooting the whole system.
Why does my iMac continue to loose wifi connection? My PC setting right next to it does not have the problem. I'm trying to do the switch to iMac but having a tough time. My 1986 DOS PC with 20 Meg hard drive sure was simpler.
Not familiar with the mac at all, as this post will demonstrate On the desktop, the background is now expanded and when you move the cursor, it navigates by an annoying combination moving the cursor and moving the background until an icon is under the arrow. I screwed around with the display and some other preferences, but i cant figure out which setting I need to modify to get it back to a static background (of normal size) and a cursor that moves to an icon.
Every time I open my Applications folder the view setting that I set is back to default. The system does not remember the background color, icon size, or any other setting.
Mail on my Mac used to check every few minutes automatically. Now it only come sin if i (a) relaunch the mail programme or (b) press get new mail button. Why has this changed and how can I get back to it being done automatically?
My computer keeps stalling and rotating beachball won't allow me to move forwards or backwards. Ultimately I need to turn off the power. I have tried resetting the PRAM and SMC but neither seems to help for too long.
I'm completely new to macs and just got a MBP for school. Well, I was trying to clear out my dock and put in some new apps when I accidently pulled the application folder out. Okay thats fine, I searched for it and found the right one. But when I pulled it out to put onto the dock it has the address book icon on top of it. I cant get it off.
I cant figure out how to change the background color of it in candybar. I'm sick of the standard grey mac color. When I'm in candybar I go to the dock section-->view-->dock-->preview background..the options under preview background are greyed out. Also when I am in the dock section-->view-->background-->change color. I try changing the color but it doesn't change. Am I doing something wrong..or what?
I have a Macbook Pro and I have been recently changing around my backgrounds including my login background. However, when I changed my background via command in the terminal by switching the defaultdesktop.jpg with another picture in the CoreServices folder, My picture does not show up on the login screen instead it is just a plain blue screen. Is there anyway to restore the original login background settings?because I actually found a program "loginox" that easily changes the login picture however, it will not open because it says I have changed the original background photo.
If I 'command tab' and display the running programmes and then tab to address book and command 'Q' the programme 'Address Book' does quit but the icon does not disappear from the row of running applications.
I tried everything but no luck, I use utility to correct permissions but that did not work. I think the one problem is I have too many photos on computer is there anyway to do it by key command?
Every time I try and set a desktop background about 3 minutes after I have set it, it changes to a background of the world saying not licensed, evaluation use only.
I have been looking at the videos showing the multi touch track pad and was wondering what program they are using to demo the multi touch as i cannot get the trackpad to rotate like in the video. i am opening the pics in iPhoto.
My girlfriend shot a short movie with my digital camera and she had it turned sideways, so you've got to turn your head to view it right. I need to rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise. I've got quicktime pro 6.whatever (the newest). It's an mpeg if that matters.
Just got back from a vacation and have some AVIs that I shot on my digital camera. I want to edit these but some of the were shot vertically instead of horizontally. Does anyone know what program I can use to rotate these? Can't find a feature to do so in iMovie - using a 3rd party program is probably the way to go.
When I upload pictures, the thumbnails won't show the picture, just the dotted line outline for all thumbnails.
Also, when I rotate a picture, it won't hold the rotation. After I have rotated it, I go over to iMovie to put the picture in it's spot, and it generates back to it's original direction before I rotated it.
Some time today, my iMac started displaying some type of outline in the background. I bought it in December, and I've never had any issues with it until today. What the outline is? I heard it might be dead pixels, but I honestly have no clue. I just checked the screen again and it's normal now.
