Jun 3, 2012Normally when I put a DVD or cd in my DVD player it starts automatically but sins this week it doesn’t work anymore.
When I put a DVD in the player I hear the DVD spinning but after a while it stops and nothing further happens.
When I starts up DVD player and try to play the DVD an message appears that no supported disc available is.

Jul 11, 2009I am trying to play an old mac game called warlords on my intel mac laptop running leopard. I have yet to find a version of the game created for something other than mac os classic or windows. Is there any way around this? If I used boot camp and dual booted into tiger would that fix my problem cause tiger has the classic environment but I dont have a ppc. If that would work I am wondering if there was the potential for some of my stuff on my 100 gb hard drive to get deleted in the process because I only have 30 gb left and no external hard drive to back stuff up on.

Apr 21, 2012My old PC broke and I had someone recover the data of the harddrive for me, he told me he would recover the data so it worked on Macs. All the music, songs etc are working, however the videos are not working. The videos are in '.avi' and some are in '.mpg'
When I try to open them it says "the document "DOCUMENTNAME.MPG" could not be opened. A required codec isnt available.." There is a button that says tell me more, when I press it, it takes me to this page, [URL]which doesnt make a lot of sense to me. Would someone help me open and save my files in the correct format!?

I actually have an external router connected now, and can stream Netflix on my tv, but not everything is offered streaming. Also, we own some dvds that we'd like to watch. Feb 24, 2012I have an iMac (2009 acquired) 3.06GHZ - Mac OSX 10.6.8 - 4GB mem.
I am experience CD/DVD drive problem with some CDs with photos: The drive starts accessing the disk
but at some point (say, midway through a 300 pic cd) seems to stop recognizing the presence of photos on the disk.
At that point, Preview cannot access such "unrecognized" photos and Icon vew does not show such "unrecognixed" photos. It is as if the drive is not able to explore the entire disk.
Same seems to happen when I write to a blank DVD disk: some material ends up not being written to disk.
